Team Instant Regret

Hobbyweight: Jokulhaup

Image

Speed: 4
Traction: 2
Torque: 1
Weapon: 16 (two spinners driven by same motor - 15 power each)
Armor: 7

What's better than one deathspinner? Two deathspinners, of course! Jokulhaup is equipped with a pair of 2 lb counter-rotating single-toothed blades spinning at ludicrous speeds. They're driven by pulleys sitting directly on the can of an outrunner motor: a system of idlers is used to make them counter-rotate. Jokulhaup may have a slow drivetrain, but the immense width of its weapon should make it harder to flank.
For reference, here's the area the blades actually sweep out. No, you can't actually drive your vertical spinner in between the discs and hit the weapon supports.

The discs can be flipped around and the motor reversed, allowing them to be spun either inward or outward for a given match, but they cannot be reversed mid-fight.

Featherweight: Vorpal Bunny

Image

Speed: 4
Traction: 2
Torque: 1
Weapon: 16
Armor: 7

Aluminum Bar Config:
Weapon: 15
Armor: 8 (+1 bar - 13 weapon armor!)

The Bot-O-Rama Featherweight champion is back! Same mid-cutter design with ablative wheel guards, same ridiculously powerful weapon. It now has two options for the bar: a steel bar that can spin in either direction, or the old aluminum bar. It has a lower MOI, so it's not quite as destructive, but it's incredibly durable, making it perfect for enduring fights against other powerful spinners and bricks with obnoxious ABR plows.

Lightweight: Tastes Like Boring

Image
Image

Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Torque: 2
Weapon: 6 (4 clamp, 4 lifter)
Armor: 10 (+1 pontoons)

4WD clamp in the style of Uberclocker and Overhaul. Can press the lifter arm into the ground a little and the front pontoons are hinged. It has two possible configs: one with a long lifter and short pontoons for fighting stuff with wedges (top), and one with long pontoons and a short lifter for fighting spinners (bottom).

Middleweight: Sekhmet
Image
Image

Speed: 5
Traction: 4
Torque: 1
Weapon: 13 / 11
Armor: 7 / 9 (+2 front wedge)

Sekhmet returns to visit more divine wrath on her opponents! She's a little more maneuverable now, and the chassis armor is improved. In the "heavy" configuration, the 24 lb spiral disc design is used. The front wedge is thinner, at only 1/8" steel, but that's sufficient for fighting non-spinners. In the "light" configuration, Sekhmet uses a beefier 1/4" thick steel wedge, and takes the weight out of the weapon. The lighter symmetric disc is only 18 lb, and doesn't hit as hard, but it packs so much metal next to the tooth that it's actually harder to damage than the spiral disc. Sekhmet can mount sharp anti-wedge skids in either configuration (pictured in the image for the "heavy" config).

Heavyweight: Compound Fracture
Image
Alternate configs: Anti-HS plow, Anti-VS scoops, Anti-overhead cage

Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Torque: 3
Weapon: 5
Armor: 10 (+2 weapon armor bonus)

It's back. Very compact 4WD ramming lifter with four different options for the front. Option 1, the invertable wedge, has a central lifting wedge and hinged outriggers. These have their angular travel limited by hitting the chassis, which prevents the bot from tipping forward when it lifts something. Compound Fracture is completely invertible in this config. Option 2, the anti-horizontal plow, is built with no sharp corners to deflect spinners away. The robot can still run inverted, and can self-right by driving into the wall and raising the lifter. Option 3, the anti-VS scoops, has two front scoops with side thingies to prevent angling in, and the gap in between lets it avoid sharpened anti-wedge skids somewhat. Again, can self-right by driving into the wall. Option 4, the anti-overhead cage, has two narrow forks and a big steel framework on top that allows it to catch the arms of hammers and saws attacking from the front. The framework is articulated Sewer Snake style, and allows the robot to self-right by moving the lifter down.
Options 2-4 also have outriggers to prevent overbalancing when lifting, but they're of a different style. For options 2 and 3, they're protected under the lifter, but this also means that the lifter can only move 30 degrees downward (plenty to press it). For option 4 the narrower lifter has a much bigger range of motion below neutral, allowing the robot to self-right.

The armor bonus can only be applied to the forks in Option 4 if tournament staff decide the framework violates the 1/3 area rule.

Superheavyweight: Jajanken
Image
Image
Image

Speed: 6
Traction: 4
Torque: 1

Rock (primary config)
Weapon: 11 (hammer)
Armor: 8 (+2 front plow)

Scissors
Weapon: 10 (9 saw, 1 lift/arm/srimech)
Armor: 7 (+1 front lifter)

Paper
Weapon: 8 (lifter)
Armor: 9 (+3 lifting plow - but it has weapon armor bonus so weapon armor is 14)

Pic of self-righting in Scissors config, also shows drivetrain.

Apparently swiss army bots are the new trend now, so here's a robot based off an anime technique based off of rock-paper-scissors. Jajanken! This 4WD machine is fairly quick and maneuverable, and has three different weapon modules.

Rock, the primary config (if you've watched Hunter x Hunter you'll know why) has the outright most powerful weapon, a massive hammer powered by twin brushless motors. The low starting torque of brushless systems is compensated for by using a Beta-like snail cam system: the gear ratio is highest at the start of the stroke which helps the motors spin up into their power band. Rock also has decent defenses in the form of a shock-mounted plow, with front prongs that get underneath opponents to prevent the hammer from popping the robot into the air.

Scissors uses a powerful sawblade capable of slicing through the armor of most opponents within the pin limit, but it also has a couple other cool features. The front tray is mechanically linked to the saw arm by a pair of gears: as the saw descends, the tray lifts up to 15 degrees into the air, breaking opponents' traction to compensate for Jajanken's low torque. The tray can also be lowered up to 5 degrees from the "neutral" position, so it can be pressed against the ground. A pushrod also links the saw arm to a self-righting arm.

Paper is relatively simple. It's just a thick, shock-mounted plow mounted on a very fast lifting arm that should allow it to work almost like a weak flipper. Because I know you guys are going to enter deathspinners in CBC.

This is a fully invertible 8WD brick. The hinged plows are on a limiter and can be attached facing either way up and removed. the same goes for the teeth. There are a pair of alternate longer plows for better wedging ability that can be found in the album (click the title).

The clamp configuration is 2WD with a 360 lifter/clamp: 8 speed / 8 traction / 3 torque / 4 weapon (3/3) / 6 armour

The anti-spinner configuration is 2WD with a near 360 pressing lifter: 8 speed / 8 traction / 3 torque / 1 weapon / 9 armour (+3 lifter)

It's my new FW for ROBOTS and CBC2 because Omerta is shit. I really don't think this needs anymore explanation, but have some anyways: All the shit you'd expect to be removable is removable, like the wedge spikes, claws and any part of the lifter setup. The lifter can also be locked in place. The symbol used is the two-headed Hapsburg eagle. The quote is Machiavelli. The name is from the song linked in the subtitle above. The actual title links to the album. Click it. There are all of the removable add-ons and configs in there.

the newly created 'ARSONIST inc' wishes to enter in all categorys with the following robots:

Super Heavy Weight:
Rattletail

(hopefully) deadly snake-bot, that attacks robots by swinging its tail at very high speeds (like a horizontal flail hammer, but with more momentum). it can hit things in front of it, so it should be able o hit the sides of a robot directly in front of it. The weapon armour bonus is applied to the metal bit at the end of the tail (the part that hits you). it damages you with the end section, the other sections can't go fast enough to do severe damage.

All right, lets give this ARC thing a shot. Intending to act as a reserve.

NAME: DemonOfTomorrow
TEAM NAME: Demon Industries

I am hopefully gonna enter other stuff, but for the sake of it, I'm going to start with a simple lil' robot, a Heavyweight.

HW: Gangrenous Leech
Image
A new machine created from the depths of the garage, Gangrenous Leech's main weapon is its heavy defense and flamethrowers that are designed to melt opponents with relative ease. Gangrenous Leech also has a cosmetic rear tail that can be used as a thwacker should it be in a dangerous position, though it generally does nothing other than serve to look cool.

Stats:
Speed: 7
Weapon: 2
Armour: 11
Torque: 4
Traction: 6

EDIT: Made more robots to add to the thing last-minute because i'm a procrastinatory twat. Oops. :P

Featherweight: Ricochet
Image
A new machine from Demon Industries, this low robot has a destructive spinning bar that can obliterate just about anything. Its lack of speed is the only concern it has, though its massive bar spinner can break anything in its path easily.

Stats:
Speed: 4
Weapon: 14
Armour: 8
Torque: 1
Traction: 3

Lightweight: Cobalt Tsunami
Image

If there was ever a more notable lightweight from the Industries garage, it has to be Cobalt Tsunami. This ferocious spinner deals catastrophic damage to anything in its path at the cost of its own general stability, but whatever gets hit by this robot may not ever live again... assuming robots could live, that is.

Stats:
Speed: 4
Weapon: 16
Armour: 8
Torque: 1
Traction: 1

Middleweight: Sabre Rocketeer
Image

A newer design, Sabre Rocketeer's enormous undercutting flywheel allows it to shred away at exposed wheels and other gubbins of foes. The flywheel can also be used just as effectively while inverted, without any major issues whatsoever.

Stats:
Speed: 5
Weapon: 13
Armour: 8
Torque: 1
Traction: 3

EDIT 2: Turns out I have to make a SHW or I cant enter. Balls.

Super Heavyweight: The Leviathan
Image

One of the largest creations ever made by the Demon Industries fleet, The aptly-named Leviathan uses its huge ground clearance to completely deny pushers and wedges any chance of pushing while raining down destructive blows with its massive blade array. The power of this weapon can cause severe trauma to internals, though external damage may be limited.

Stats:
Speed: 6
Armour: 8
Weapon: 10
Torque: 1
Traction: 4

I'm game.

Team Covenant

Hobbyweight
Shiki

Image

Image

Speed: 4 || Traction: 2 || Torque: 1 || Armour: 7 || Weapon: 16

Oh no, Kody! When will you ever stop creating anime fembots?

The answer is never. :v:

Invertible 2WD horizontal fuck-you spinner with a double-sided scythe blade. One blade hits very low, the other hits kinda low but not too low. Upside down, one blade hits very high, the other hits kinda high but not too high. Right?

Because of the shape of the weapon, she doesn't have a great bite, but the curved edge of the scythes can deflect other spinning weapons away without taking much damage I guess.

Has an attachable wedge around an axle at the rear in case it's needed, and a Tombstone-style bar in case I need more armour for the bar.

Stats with Tomb-bar:

Speed: 4 || Traction: 2 || Torque: 1 || Armour: 9 (+2 to bar) || Weapon: 14

Points for style. :v:

----

Featherweight
Ryōbi

Image

Image

Speed: 7 || Traction: 6 || Torque: 3 || Armour: 11 (+1 front) || Weapon: 3

I have a lovely bunch of fembots. :v:

Anyway Hikage was getting tiresome and Heretic is a piece of shit, so meet my new featherweight, Ryōbi. Yes, there's a macron over the o. ō. Deal with it.

It's a flipper. It's 2WD. It can right itself. And it identifies as female. What more do you want?

Ryōbi enjoys being a sadist and cursing at everything she comes across. She spends long moments polishing her... rifle.

----

Lightweight
Scarab (V)

Image

Image

Speed: 6 || Traction: 4 || Torque: 1 || Armour: 5 (+1 beater) || Weapon: 14

Yeah I turned it into a Black Dog clone... except I looked very closely at the Black Dog CAD and addressed some... issues. :P

First, Scarab's returned to the beater. Less shit for you HSes to catch onto. :v: The wedge tips themselves I can remove, but not the bar supports. They're there to stay, though the beater reaches out further than the bars when the wedges aren't on, so suck it, undercutters. :v:

No, the beater won't catch the wedges. You can argue that all you want in your RPs, but it's not happening. :P

Oh, and look at this:

Image

Yeah, the wedge tips are steep enough where I can actually get the edges of your own wedges! You're not safe!

And it can run upside-down. The antennae are not actually decoration, but solid and keep the drum from hitting the ground. They don't bend, but I guess they can break off if something hits them hard enough. :v:

Weak as shit to axes, but this isn't meant to be an axe killer. Will be nice if I can get a few axebot kills with it though.

----

Middleweight
Mimete (V)

Image

Image

Image

Image

Speed: 7 || Traction: 7 || Torque: 5 || Armour: 9 (+2 to the rear plow, or the proboscis) || Weapon: 2

Mimete is a 2WD clampbot. She has two bottom jaws which are static and do not move, and a top jaw that works similarly to Diesector. The rear plow is hinged, so she can't be beached on it. She works fine inverted, though the plow does not.

Mimete has a proboscis attachment, also like Diesector, that she can use against specialized spinners like drums. She eschews the rear plow in this case, to fit the proboscis in.

----

Heavyweight
Pallas (II)

Image

Image

Image

Speed: 6 || Traction: 6 || Torque: 3 || Armour: 12 || Weapon: 3

Pallas isn't too happy about her crown being taken from her clutches. It's her crown! She wants it!

From horizontal to vertical we go. Almost entirely a Red Devil clone, just a hood cover and no saw. Tracks! Entire jaw assembly can be lifted. The jaws can also go up or down.

Also has a plow attachment, so fuck your spinners.

----

Superheavyweight
Ceres (II)

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Normal set-up
Speed: 8 || Traction: 8 || Torque: 3 || Armour: 6 || Weapon: 5[/big]

Anti-spinner set-up
Speed: 8 || Traction: 8 || Torque: 3 || Armour: 10 (+4 to front end (not the top of the lifting arm)) || Weapon: 1[/big]

Anti-hammer set-up
Speed: 8 || Traction: 8 || Torque: 3 || Armour: 10 (+4 to the purple bits in front, not the wedge tips) || Weapon: 1[/big]

You died? YOU DIED? Fuck that shit, Ceres does not die! She merely rises from the spirit realm... ready for more.

Still 12WD! But now on an angled chassis with wheels of different sizes!

Invertible 4-bar lifter! Like Latvian Gambit! She can push into the ground either way up!

But that's only if she goes for the basic wedge set-up, in the upper displayed images. She has a set-up specifically made for dealing with spinners, whether they be discs, drums, or whatever comes her way!

----

Monsterworks has confirmed that all the configurations are legal, so take it up with him if you are unconvinced. Thanks! :v:

Random Robotics

Seeing as we're gunning for a 28 team field with seven in each group and we'll probably fall one or two short, Random Robotics has been launched! This is a 'team' only in the loosest sense. Its roster will actually be made up of machines from different established outfits. This will not only help to fill out the field, but will allow some of these teams to enter more experimental designs, since any robot entered under the Random Robotics banner will be winning (or losing) and earning rankings points for Random Robotics and not for its builder's team. Basically, performance doesn't matter. You're entering to test out that other design that you wanted to maybe include but didn't end up going with because you weren't sure how it'd perform or if it was well optimized.

Who liked Mudcrab? Now give it six more claws. Yep, we're going there. 2WD drumbot that really, really doesn't want anyone flanking it. All the legs are individually hinged and are only limited by the presence of other legs in their paths.

The Dream Team

Seeing as we're gunning for a 28 team field with seven in each group and we'll probably fall one or two short, and due to the popularity of Random Robotics, a second supergroup has been launched: The Dream Team! This is a 'team' only in the loosest sense. Its roster will actually be made up of machines from different established outfits. This will not only help to fill out the field, but will allow some of these teams to enter more experimental designs, since any robot entered under The Dream Team banner will be winning (or losing) and earning rankings points for The Dream Team and not for its builder's team. Basically, performance doesn't matter. You're entering to test out that other design that you wanted to maybe include but didn't end up going with because you weren't sure how it'd perform or if it was well optimized.

Hobbyweight: Hallucinogenic Waffle Iron (Angry Goat Robotics)

From the future of the 50's (or maybe the mind of some corporate anti-espionage worker), comes The Moderne Gibbon

As 360 lifters seem to be being supplanted with drum spinners, we here at North-West Sheds have asked ourselves what is next. We believe it is this. A <del>control undercutter</del> golden gibbon.

Look! It even comes with optional cutlery! What a clever monkey!

New "waifu" bot. :v: Meet Renka from Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. Her name literally means "lotus".

4WD. Hinged plow on a limiter, can be locked down if need be to act as a static wedge, or removed entirely, or put on the back of the machine, whichever. :v: Double hammers, not on the same axle (obviously), but powered by the same system. Can self-right. Also sports the "new" team logo.

Dance in the festival of midsummer!

Middleweight: Goofy La Goon (Team Edgy Robotics)

This googly nightmare (buh dum tssh) has independent and shock mounted drive. Front wedgelets are on a limited hinged, can also self right using its weapon. Can use gyro effects to turn on the spot.

Image

Stats: Speed:6. Traction:4. Torque:1. Weapon:12. Armour:7.

Heavyweight: Kugelblitz (Team Mongoose)

Image

4WD Melty Brain thwack style robot with a SteveOUT-style spinning disc in the center. That's right, a melty HS that isn't cheap! Wheels are each angled around 2.5 degrees inward so they all line up through the central axis of the robot (and the disc) to reduce wheel scrub when going melty. Invertible, unstrandable, and generally awesome.

Spd: 8
Tra: 2

Superheavyweight: Oni (Team 57)

7 speed 7 traction 2 torque 5 weapon (split 3/3 Lifter/Spinner), 9 Armour (+1 To the area with the diamond plate texture)

Somewhat of a cross between Hellhound IV and Exotherm. Its main weapon is its lifting wedge. In this wedge is a small vertical bar spinner that can flick robots off the wedge or (hopefully) up over the arena walls. The lifter can in theory go 360 degrees, but when inverted the robot runs on the front two wheels and the coasting wheels on the top of the wedge until it can self right.

Please be advised that this team, and then Random Robotics are subject to withdrawal in the event of legitimate entries before the signup deadline occurs.
