Get with the beats, the riffs, the harmony, or if you wanna go to hell, Phil Collins.

Gotcha. Did I introduce you to that Drifters' song, or did you come across it on your own?

I think I might have come across it on my own. I think the first I heard it was on the Drifters CD boxset I bought awhile back.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

I've been listening to quite a bit of Mike Oldfield lately - Tubular Bells is a fantastic work but his 1980s pop music ventures aren't too bad either, although some are an acquired taste. [/quote]
Maybe you should try out some of this stuff.

Anyway, I'm adding another song to the absolutes list...

"Serenade" by the Steve Miller Band

Always helps even me out when I'm having a lousy day.

It's a new year, and I haven't posted here in months, so it's time for a new list!

25 - Yes - Siberian Khatru
24 - Melvins - Hung Bunny
22 - Porcupine Tree - Dark Matter
21 - Kayo Dot - Wayfarer
20 - Rooster For the Masses - The Last Umpire
19 - And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - When We Begin to Steal
18 - They Might Be Giants - Doctor Worm
17 - Neil Young - Sample and Hold
16 - Frank Zappa - What's the Ugliest Part of Your Body
15 - Emergency Broadcast Network - 3 7 8
14 - Flaming Lips - Suddenly Everything Has Changed
13 - The Mars Volta - Metatron
12 - Tortoise - Swung From the Gutters
11 - TV On the Radio - Bomb Yourself
10 - The Who - Love Reign O'er Me

4 - Talking Heads - Cities
3 - King Crimson - Sleepless
2 - Old Man Gloom - Seminar III "Zozobra"

Not very different from the first list. Surprise #1 change though, and it takes an awful lot for me to move Talking Heads or King Crimson down a space... so that's saying something.

Never once heard of any of those artists. Of course, that'd be because I'm more of a mainstream fuck, but still...cripes.

If Hector were here he'd have a list of 100 songs, not content to stop at 25, and you could count the number of groups you recognize on one hand.

...oh christ.

I was looking at the right side for the artists, as that's how I usually put them. Of course, it would have been really obvious had I noticed what was on the left side. Just chalk this up to another example of Kody's stupidity. :P
