A.R.C Wk2 : Slipstream vs Carnifex

Post by British-Robotics » Fri May 17, 2024 4:16 pm

Slipstream ( Speed: 7, Traction: 6, Armour: 10, Torque: 2, Weapon: 5 )

Carnifex ( Speed: 5, Traction:4, Armour: 11 Torque: 1, Weapon: 9 )

(Normal Config for Slipstream – No Mohawk)

Don’t rush towards Carnifex at the start, I have the speed and traction advantage to at least give him some problems, so I need to do some clever driving. Since his forks are static, I should be able to win the ground game at any given situation. Get enough power to wedge under Carnifax and go for the flip immediately without hesitating.

If I manage to flip Carnifex and get him inverted he’s going to really struggle to turn well, given how low his traction stat is. Don’t be frightened of the drum and go for it at full speed at Certifax frontally whilst it’s inverted and aim for an OOTA, I have a good amount of power to throw Carnifex about in the arena and do some chain flipping.

Good Luck and may the best robot win :)

Carnifex Strategy

Well the plan for the last front hinge flipper didnt work, so let's go with a new plan. Start out with what some would call a suicide charge, straight at the opponent from the beginning. Their being 2wd will still give them an edge in a front on collision, but with no armour bonus to that wedge if I do get under I should be able to start doing enough to bend it up a bit, making it less effective afterwards.

In any case, thee plan this time is to just remain on the attack. No more fancy tricks, just go for any and all opportunities that present themselves. If (or more probably when) I get flipped over, go for a hit to the side to try and bite enough to get back onto my right side up.
