Epic Gamer Time Fight cards n stuff

Post by Tcrrr » Fri May 31, 2019 7:03 pm

Alright everyone, Welcome to Epic Gamer Time. We got 9 of some of the best ARC machines, battling it out in one of the toughest arenas ever made.
For our Round 1 matchups we got

Spectral Pudding vs Demon Spirit
Double and his robot took the wrong flight, as a result Gabe wins via FF

Moon Rabbit Falconer vs Flare
The battle starts after the countdown finishes and that word was uttered. Flare immediately rush into the pit button, going straight for it while avoiding the CPZ, with Moon Rabbit Falconer trying to bait Flare, exposing a weakspot for Flare to wedge into, while positioning it in such a way that Moon Rabbit Falconer will be able to turn in order to wedge and strike Flare in time. However, Flare ignored this, and opened the pit. Flare soon rushed near the flame pit while Moon Rabbit Falconer followed Flare from it's current position.

Flare then tried to circle around Moon Rabbit Falconer as the latter closed in, moving rapidly as Moon Rabbit Falconer struggled to keep up with Flare in pointing it's wedge to it in spot. However, the driver of Moon Rabbit Falconer quickly changed his tactic, trying to bait Flare into attacking it, by pretending to misdrive a bit, only to quickly turn on spot when Flare exploited this, pointing it's wedge right in time, with Flare getting outwedged by Moon Rabbit Falconer's two wheeled drive forks. Moon Rabbit Falconer then tried to bring down it's hammer as Flare tried to drive off quickly using it's torque, with Flare missing and Moon Rabbit Falconer barely hitting the front wedge. But it did hit the central lip, bending it pretty noticeably and causing it to scrape the ground. After the attack, Flare tried to circle around Moon Rabbit Falconer again, closing in on Moon Rabbit Falconer's side, in an attempt to wedge it from there. However, Moon Rabbit Falconer turned on spot again, being able to keep up with Flare's circling. Moon Rabbit Falconer soon turned a bit again, fooling Flare into aiming for the supposed weak spot, before it turned again right, causing the wedge of Flare, which scrapes the ground, to meet in a head on position with Moon Rabbit Falconer's wedge, which is on an angled position, causing Flare to catch the wedge of Moon Rabbit Falconer, but the latter quickly J-hooked before it got controlled, and this time baited Flare again, pretending to escape from it, before quickly turning on spot as Flare rushed to it, this time resulting in Moon Rabbit Falconer's fork catching and lifting Flare's wedge, wedging Flare deep into it. Moon Rabbit Falconer soon fired quickly and pushed as Flare tried to escape, this time hitting the chassis itself, near the wedge and between the wheels.

This hit dented and caved the chassis in very noticeably. Furthermore, the dent doesn't seem to be perfectly round. It's weirdly shaped around the areas where the drive motors should be. The result of this is seen when Flare drived noticeablely slower, up to the same speed as Moon Rabbit Falconer now, just slightly faster. Flare also seemed to have control problem as other parts of the internals and wiring got jolted hard by the shock. Finally, the hinge seems to start loosening a bit too.

Flare tried to escape after that, trying to circle Moon Rabbit Falconer again. Moon Rabbit Falconer tried to bait again, but this time, Flare sees through the trick, and despite being hampered by the damage, is somehow able to get under Moon Rabbit Falconer's side. Flare then tried to push it's opponent to the pit, but it's not too swift despite still having a lot of torque and thus pretty fast due to the damage. Moon Rabbit Falconer, however, quickly tried to J-hook when one of the wheels was on the ground, and when that failed, it kept firing the hammer until it's wheels got a better grip, where it was able to escape. Moon Rabbit Falconer then moved a bit to avoid the hazard, as it's near the pit now, and tried to wedge Flare, which is easier due to the slowed speed of Flare. Moon Rabbit Falconer soon get to the side of Flare, and after wedging it, fired it's hammer again, this time hitting the left back wheel, immediately dislodging it completely, complete with a bit of axle, and the associated wheelguard bending significantly. Flare escaped again, but limping due to the lost wheel, it isn't able to escape for long, and get wedged again.

Moon Rabbit Falconer soon repeated the process in an attempt to deliver killing blows. In first hit, it got the central part, caving it in and compromising Flare's mobility further. Second hit, it hit the wedge teeth of Flare and further loosening the wedge, breaking one tooth. Third hit, it hit the very first hit part again, caving it more and breaking motors as the front drive barely moves now. The hinge is also loosened completely, meaning the wedge barely hangs on and a gap can be seen between wedge and chassis. Smoke also started to emanate from the bot, due to electrical shortening from the damaged wires, battery, and motors. Finally, Moon Rabbit Falconer hit Flare the fourth time, hitting the back part of the chassis, killing Flare completely as the last drive get severely compromised and the ESC dislodged by all the shock. The wedge also seem to start falling off completely from the bot. More smoke then come out, before Flare burst into flames ironically as the damaged and leaking batteries made contact with electricity, setting the contents on fire.

Winner: Moon Rabbit Falconer by KO at 2:01

Der Adder vs Maneater
This match will hinge solely on who gets the first good blow in, and both drivers are focused on doing just that. As the match starts, both quickly spin up their weapons and charge each-other, as fast as a 6 and 5 speed bot can. Both seem to be going for a head-on-head collision, but as said collision is about to occur Maneater pivots off to the side, going for Der Adder’s skir-

Bam!
Both bots have gotten in their first blows, but surprisingly, neither is KO’d yet. That’s not to say they’re unscathed, quite to the contrary. Both robots were thrown a decent distance, and sustained various degrees of damage. Maneater looks to have gotten the short end of the stick, having sustained decent damage to it’s frame. It is bent significantly, and Maneater has slowed down in both movement and weapon. Der Adder has weathered the blow significantly better, with the damage being limited to the right skirt, which has been almost completely torn off. While it’s right wheel is exposed, Der Adder hasn’t slowed down, and charges Maneater once more. This time, Maneater is caught with it’s proverbial pants down, and is struck by Der Adder in the rear wedge. While it isn’t KO territory-damage, it didn’t leave Maneater undamaged either. The wedge is now significantly warped, and Maneater is in a precarious position. Sensing this, it’s driver tries to drive away from Der Adder and spin up once more. The key word here is tries, as Der Adder catches up to it again and delivers another blow to the rear-wedge. At this point, the wedge is barley existent anymore, and closer in appearance to a group of loosely-connected scraps. At this point, Maneater pivots to face Der Adder with it’s disc, but being shunted around by Der Adder’s numerous blows has slowed it down to the point where it’s a non-factor. After it’s disc harmlessly pings off of Adder’s drum, DA dishes out another mean blow, hurtling Maneater back to the wall. Maneater’s still moving, but at this point Der Adder’s near-guaranteed to win. Maneater is slowed down drastically, his disc is chipped, and his frame is bent to hell and back. Maneater tries to spin up one last time, but Der Adder swoops in and delivers the final death tap, sending Maneater sprawling out of control and landing on it’s side. It’s not moving, and is quickly counted out thereafter.

Der Adder by KO, 1:05

Chemical Outburst vs Phoenix
The match starts and CO tries to spin up and it can't spin up at first, TBR tries to spin up to full speed and he does so, but something terrible has happened, OH MY GOODNESS THE BOTTOM SUPPORT GETS SHREDDED, AND AS THE BLADE GETS UP TO SPEED HE HITS THE WALL AND DOES AN UPSIDE DOWN APEX! Physics engine what the fuck? Pheonix just moves forwards as CO gets counted out, and Pheonix pits the self destructing machine. YOU KILLED HIM HOPPIN SMH!
Your Winner: Pheonix in 0:25

Rps due on Friday, June 7th at 11:59 EST. Go out there and write!

Alright everyone, welcome back to EGT, after week 1 we have many a more fights.

Flare vs Der Adder
Hoppin steals the controller of sagaris, and he says "this is what happens when you don't enter Apex Invite series"
But he gets the controller and the fight happens.
Right off the bat, Flare goes for the box rush, trying to pull a Kenny Florian and “jam up” Der Adder’s drum. Normally, this would work, but there’s a problem in this situation: Flare has a hinged wedge, and Der Adder has 2WD wedgelets. While it’s not impossible for Flare to get under, it’s certainly hard for him, and he can’t get any good purchase in the initial rush. Although it’s 5 torque helps it push Der Adder back a bit, it goes no further. Worse, Der Adder’s drum is spinning up at a decent speed, and it throws Flare a fair distance. Der Adder tries to charge, but Flare zips away before he can get him again.

Flare, given that it’s initial strategy failed, changes tactics and begins circling Der Adder. While it does have a speed advantage, Der Adder has better control and is able to pivot and face Flare fairly easily. Not keen on charging face-first into the drum again, it keeps circling, looking for an opening. Der Adder is equally persistent in defence, and the two continue to circle each-other, waiting for the other to slip up. Finally, Flare charges, seeing an opening to get to Der Adder’s skirts. Der Adder isn’t oblivious to this, and counters with a hit to the side of Flare’s wedge, sending him flying once more.

Flare doesn’t really have an answer to this, and begins circling again. Der Adder pivots to respond, and the two circle each other once more. Flare charges again, but Der Adder responds before he could get to the skirts. Flare is sent away once more, but he returns, lacking an answer to Der Adder’s defense. The outcome, predictably, is the same. Flare is unable to get past Der Adder’s defense, but zips away before Der Adder can really do anything. Although Flare becomes noticeably more aggressive as the timer winds down, he couldn’t get an opening and is unable to prevent the fight from going to a judge’s decision.

Aggression: 10-5, Flare

Damage: 8-6, Der Adder

Control: 10-5, Der Adder

Der Adder by JD

Demon Spirit vs Moon Rabbit Falconer
Moon Rabbit Falconer vs The Demon Spirit

Moon Rabbit Falconer starts the fight by rushing toward The Demon Spirit once the fight countdown is finished and the word was uttered. It tries to keep The Demon Spirit on it's wedge. Meanwhile, The Demon Spirit moves too, but for a bizarre reason, it's horribly driven, and goes straight into Moon Rabbit Falconer instead. It seems the driver is very inexperienced

Moon Rabbit Falconer takes advantage of this, and when The Demon Spirit ride up the former, it immediately get hammered before escaping quickly, damaging the wedge. However, The Demon Spirit soon overdrive and even pressed the pit at one point, opening it, before Moon Rabbit Falconer wedged and hammered it again two times, breaking a wheel completely and denting the top of chassis in

Eventually, The Demon Spirit, impaired in mobility, is driven so badly, that Moon Rabbit Falconer is able to get one final blow that destroys a wheel on another side, but it can still move. However, because of bad driving again, The Demon Spirit falls into the pit by itself

Winner: Moon Rabbit Falconer by KO (FF) in 0:59

Tringle vs Spectral Pudding

Maneater wins by FF, as Chemical Outburst Forfeits all their matches
Pheonix has a BYE
