Predictions for Week 4

Post by succotash_54 » Thu Nov 30, 2006 11:22 pm

Note: These predictions are just for fun. They are not to reflect how a bot will actually do, nor are they to influence the result writers (myself included), and they're not even based on the RPs for crying out loud. lol This is all for fun.

Team Hunga vs. Team Andrewbot

1. Underall vs. Corrosive

This is all dependent upon if Andrew remembers to RP of course. But the disc may be the determining factor in this one, but the speed and torque differential will factor in huge as well.

My prediction: Underall 29-16

2. My Hands Are Abandoned Factories Manufacturing Heartbreak And Hate vs. Disc Obsession.

I hate the freakin' long name. Good gravy. Anyway, this one will come down to who's lower. Should actually be a close one. I think Andrew may be able to squeak by on this one.

My prediction: Disc Obsession 27-18

3. Poly-Stone vs. Giant Swan

It all comes down to who can bring their weapon to bear first. Equal in speed. Dylan has the choice of whether to push or flip with that bot. Hmmm... But that's a nasty spinner, and Andrew knows how to use them.

My prediction: Poly-Stone by KO at 1:54

4. Japanese School Girl vs. Snewer Sake

Are you kidding? JSG kicks ass, twice!

My prediction: Japanese School Girl by KO at 0:49

Team Gemini vs. Team Hitmen

1. Novastorm vs. Red Zone

Novastorm is gonna struggle against that lifter of RZ's. And without a speed advantage, it'll take a lot of guile to win, which is often not enough for an RP.

My prediction: Red Zone 35-10

2. Sunshine vs. Shovearound 2

Again, the lifter may be the deciding factor in this one. Sunshine can do the damage, but I don't see him controlling the fight.

My prediction: Shovearound 2 30-15

3. Striker vs. Aquarius

Poor Chris, can the spiked treads ever get the respect it deserves? This will be good. CUAD the Crusher returns in psychedelic Fifth Dimension style. Those hinged wedges may be the key to this fight, not the treads. Sorry Chris.

My prediction: Striker 24-21

4. Jack Frost vs. AK-47 Slapper

I don't care what you say, this will be good. I do wonder though if AK-47 Slapper can pick up the Spice Channel with that dish on the front. If so, he may want to use that to tap a monitor and distract Chris. Otherwise, they shouldn't be green, but red and white circles, with a red dot in the center.

My prediction: Jack Frost 30-15

Team AC/DC vs. Team Yellow Alert

1. Double Dose vs. Exotherm

Double Dose is built to hit bots' bases, but Exotherm doesn't have a lot of base to hit. Exotherm will be able to bring that weapon to bear more, but Double Dose will have more powerful hits.

My prediction: Double Dose 25-20

2. AMP vs. Influenza

Two very top heavy spinners taking on each other. If Influenza doesn't tip over from having every motor up top, this one will go down to the wire.

My prediction: AMP 23-22

3. V'Ger vs. Some Kind Of Monster

This will come down to who has more to hit. Those wedge "shoes" of V'Ger will be big targets for the drum, while V'Ger pretty much only has the drum to hit. Turning ability will factor big.

My prediction: Some Kind Of Monster 32-13

4. Road Rage vs. Minion

Road Rage is tried and true in the arena, but Minion will be tough to clamp. That saw is the X factor in this one.

My prediction: Minion 26-19

Team Concept Robotics vs. Team Fire-And-Ice

1. Gayle vs. Prodigy

The saw on Prodigy could do some damage on upper body and SRiMech pole on Gayle, but ultimately, this IS a battle of spinner vs. wedge. If Prodigy can survive, he'll probably take it, but with even speed, don't count on it.

My prediction: Gayle by KO at 2:33

2. Shockwave vs. Bling 2K

This will come down to which form of Shockwave is used in this fight. Bling may be able to ding up the former MW champ before getting his comeuppance.

My prediction: Shockwave by TKO at 0:42

3. Devil's Reject vs. Flaminco

Road Bump returns with better stats. Vs. a push bot with Dogpounder's classic stats. This will be fun to watch if nothing else.

My prediction: Flaminco 28-17

4. Cascade vs. Colonel Kickass

I don't know about this one. I just don't see a favorable outcome for the Colonel.

My prediction: Cascade 36-9

Team Omegaforce vs. Team Animal Cruelty

1. Sovereign vs. Pit Bull

Identical stats, similar drive. This will be fun. I think Pit Bull will have just enough of what it takes to ward off Toe Crusher-alike.

My prediction: Pit Bull 25-20

2. JAKT vs. The Aristocrats

The stomper didn't get knocked out until late in the fight against FBSDS, and so may survive the fight against a less than powerful vertical spinner. But the pushing power will prevail.

My prediction: JAKT 38-7

3. Adrenaline vs. Babaganoush

If Babaganoush can't get under Adrenaline at all, it's all over. B would be able to kick away but not much else. I think Baba will get under a time or two, but it might not prove to be enough.

My prediction: Adrenaline 27-18

4. Copperhead vs. Yellow Cloud

Copperhead has the prestige, and that may play big here. Yellow Cloud is good, but look for this to be a barn burner

My prediction: Copperhead 24-21

Those are my thoughts. Now go out and prove me wrong!!

Excellent reviews. I agreed with most of them but you're right, a lot of them are going to be close probably. Let's hope everyone rps this week.

Heh, maybe I could REALLY distract him and use that dish to show chris a porno...

SHW: Though to be honest, I don't think Jack Frost vs AK47 is going to be a JD. I'm 99% certian it's going to be a knockout. What I'm not certian at all about is who that knockout goes to.

HW: Cuad the crusher? Heh, never thought of it that way, but Aquarius is kind of like it, not that you mention it. Wasn't even thinking about that. Course, Aquarius has a flipper and not a lifter like some have mistaken it for, but still....

MW: No comment really, you pretty mcuh got it right.

LW: 35-10? Sheesh, I don't think I'll get spanked THAT bad. Not to sound arrogant here, but I think I've got a decent chance of winning it, though it could definitly go either way.

You think I would forget to RP twice? You're probably right.
