Ladies and Gentlemen of ARC, I am thrilled to announce the debut of: <big>TEAM METAL MELTDOWN&#33;</big>

Lightweght: Jawbreaker

Image
Image
Image

Fast, tough, and tremendously powerful, this 6WD lightweight is aptly named. The only weapons are a heavily armored front wedge, and two rear spikes, but that's all it needs to smash and slam its opponents all over the arena. The front wedge is fixed to the main chassis, but it has a hinged lip at the front to help it get under opponents. The weakness is the exposed wheels, but it has 2 sets of wheels for a total of 12, allowing for a backup if one should happen to get torn off. Fully invertible, but the wedge becomes useless.

Stats
Speed: 9
Traction: 7
Torque: 4
Weapon: 0
Armor: 10(+2 to front wedge)

Middleweight: Airtime

Image
Image

The classic design is back, and immensely improved since last time around. It's compact and sleek instead of fat, blocky, and ugly, it's far more maneuverable, the flipper spatula is hinged now, but is still powerful enough to toss its opponents in excess of 4 feet into the air. Can reliably self-right with signature somersault flourish.

Stats
Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 2
Weapon: 6
Armor: 9

Heavyweight: Poseidon's Fury

Much like the God of Water it's named after, this 4WD robot's most distinguishing feature is its mighty trident. While it can't be used to rule the entire ocean, it does work as a fine lifting device. The length and extreme low profile of the prongs means that it can get under essentially any skirt configuration out there, and can also get underneath a good number of spinning weapons out there. The prongs have a full 180* range of motion, meaning that they lose no effectiveness when inverted. If that's not enough, the robot also has a hinged, armored wedge at the rear to deal with the spinners out there. The wedge becomes useless when inverted.

Stats
Speed: 7
Traction: 7
Torque: 3
Weapon: 4
Armor: 9(+2 to rear wedge)

Super Heavyweight: Hellhammer

Image

Straight from the depths of Hell, created by Baphomet himself(okay, not really), comes the most sinister hammer bot ever devised. It's a walking robot utilizing the revolutionary ring/piston propulsion system, and it's armed with a massive potential energy powered hammer. What do I mean by "potential energy"? Instead of a kinetic energy weapon which transfers the energy of motion from one component to another, this system relies on a massive amount of stored energy, which at the flick of a switch is discharged all at once. Think of the weapon system like a torsion catapult. In this robot, two hydraulic rams are connected to a massive steel coil, and when activated, pull back on the coil, building up to 2 tons of stored energy. When the hammer is fired, it strikes and resets itself almost too fast for the eye to perceive. However, there are two drawbacks to such a system. 1)It takes roughly 5 seconds for the rams to get the coil up to full pressure, and 2)The forces involved when the hammer is fired lifts the entire robot off the ground like a bucking bull at a rodeo, and can potentially cause it to overturn. If the robot does end up on its back, the hammer can be fired at a very low pressure to get it back on its feet.

Stats
Speed: 5
Traction: 3
Torque: 1
Weapon: 16
Armor: 11

Unreserved for now. Kinda burnt out and not feeling ARC. We'll see if that changes going forward.

Reserved atm. Need to find time to CAD all this stuff. For now...

LW: Hello Darkness My Old Friend
Smotherbot with mecanum drive, sporting a big black, titanium, capturing dome, a flamethrower, and hinged spikes all around the body. The mecanums are on suspensions or are "floating wheels" if you will. So that means that it can drive off of wedges. And if any of you remember Dome of Dismay, you probably remember that the dome is massive, making it more than capable of smothering a fellow LW, and then some. Also, it plays Sound Of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel endlessly throughout the entire match (hence the name) just because.
Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Armor: 10
Weapon: 4 (3 dome, 1 flamethrower)
Torque: 4

MW: Did Someone Say Chimichanga?

Image

It's Deadpool :v:

4 wheel drive ring spinner complete with the classic Merc with the Mouth on the top. The circular tooth is shorter but heavier than the two long reaching teeth, acting as a counter weight similar to the blade of Cobalt. Each wheel is on it's own suspension, allowing it to drive off of wedges (the wheels don't floating when upside-down sadly). DSSC also has <del>healing factor powers</del> many tiny sensors throughout&#8203; the body, immediately telling the driver when something isn't working quite right. This can be used to help adjust a strategy and make it work without wondering "what the hell just broke? Idfk"

Anyway, just your average ring spinner that uses sharp pointy things to <del>draw blood</del> forcefully remove the opponents internals, then fling them across the arena for fun. And well

Chimichanga

Speed: 5
Traction: 3
Weapon: 14
Armor: 7
Torque: 1

HW: Diablo Intercept
Image

2WD Lifter/flipper clamp hybrid. The wheels are semi enclosed for protection (I might also increase the size of them to make it invertible) and the main wedge is static in case a bastard-brick tries to get under :v: It's got a respectable drivetrain, decent armor, and a proven design that hopes to make this into the brick to end all bricks......and spinners :P

Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Armor: 10
Weapon: 5 (Flipper setting- 2/3= 3 flipper, 3 clamp. Lifter setting- 5 lifter/clamp)
Torque: 2

SHW: Maximilien Robospierre
Image

The Reign if Terror is about to repeat itself. SHW hammerbot with decent armor, and a front scoop. It also has the choice between tread drive, 2WD (in the back), 4 wheel (FLOATING) mecanum drive, and a pair of shuffling pods because they look cool. Though it's a bit lacking in terms of speed, it makes up for it with it's weapon. Oh yeah, you can't strand the incorruptible either, as it has Flip City Frequency style aluminum balls on either side. This almost Judge clone, has an axe similar to the one on Mortis. This means that the weapon is capable of reaching speeds of up to two shots per second&#33; And if you don't have decent armor on top, you will be executed immediately :v:

Speed: 5
Traction: 3
Weapon: 13
Armor: 8
Torque: 1

Time to throw my hat in the ring. Team's not finished, so Meanstreak is moving up from FW and is in as a placeholder for now. Wild Child (a vertical thwack) is probably going to be taking its place. Vicious (a melty-hs) might be making an appearance if I don't like the way that this team is stacking up. Anyway, here it is:

Superheavyweight: <big>Thundercaller</big>

Image

This is my new Superheavyweight for R4. It's a reversible flipper that can act as either a front or rear-hinged. The weapon armour bonus only applies to the larger part of the weapon up to the point where the interchangeable 'tails' attach. That point is the brown belt with the golden spikes (which are removable, btw). There may be an axehead, axe-proof variant, and a longer, spatula-type flipper soon. I'm still deciding on its stats.

9 speed / 8 traction / 3 torque / 9 armour (+ 2 to the roan-coloured armoured belt) / 1 weapon

or

8 speed / 6 traction / 2 torque / 9 armour (+2 to the roan-coloured armoured belt) / 5 weapon

<hr />

Heavyweight: <big>Hellhound IV</big>

Image

Hellhound's back, stripped of all of the useless extras. He's leaner, meaner, and ready to guard the gates of Tartarus from all manner of spinner scum and anything else, really. His weapon is a 360 degree lifter and his brutally effective drive train.

Stats: 9 speed / 8 traction / 3 torque / 9 amour (+2 plow) / 1 weapon

<hr />

Middleweight: <big>Meanstreak</big>

Image

I caved and made a spinner. It's probably not going to win much, but whatever. It's going in MW for now until Wild Child is ready. The drum is on a pivoting assembly, like Viluy's and Archetype's. It's a single weapon with gaps for supports, like Howler's. It's a control spinner like Powerdrive or HWR. The drum bulges mean that even slightly faster bricks are going to find it really hard to flank Meanstreak without taking a hit.

6 speed / 4 traction / 1 torque / 13 weapon / 6 armour (+1 to the drum)

Image

<hr />

Lightweight: <big>Hoarfrost</big>

Image

It should be pretty obvious to people what this is and what it does.

9 Speed / 9 Traction / 3 Torque / 9 Armour (+2 white armour) / 0 Weapon

Yeah, it's time our boys from Rochester&#33; Give it out for Team Foxtrot Uniform. (reserving btw)

--

LW: Yellow Plague

Image

Speed: 6
Traction: 4
Torque: 1
Weapon: 12
Armor: 7

Mean ol' drumbot with a hinged front wedge, side skirts, and back wedges. Can run inverted, and both the front and back wedges can be ran inverted, so either way you flip the coin, you're gonna get wedged, son.

--

MW: Neophyte Redglare

Image

<small>flipper active</small>

Image

Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Torque: 2
Weapon: 7
Armor: 9

The Legislacerator is back, bitches&#33; Front-hinged launcher that is guaranteed to send your robots flying across the arena. Uses an on-board compressor. The wedgelets on the front are on a 15-degree limiter downwards, so you cant kick up the wedgelets, and basically all the wedges (including the ABR plow) besides the wedgelets aren't hinged, they're a part of the chassis.

<small><small><del>now it's time to do a bot for terezi's dancestor, which happens to be my waifu</del></small></small>

HW: Abaddon

Image

<small>w/o shell</small>

Image

Speed: 5
Traction: 3
Torque: 1
Armor: 7
Weapon: 16

A shuffling shell spinner, what else do i have to say? Very very nasty. Abaddon probably isn't the person you want to invite to a dinner party either.

The black parts of the shuffle pods are polyurethane pads. Otherwise, the shuffling system works basically the same as every other shuffling system, like Pitter Patter from Motorama, or the first version of Overhaul from the ABC reboot of battlebots.

--

SHW: Opposing Force

Image

Speed: 6
Traction: 4
Torque: 4
Weapon: 1
Armor: 9 (+2 to plow)

(for both bots)

My tribute to one of the best video game series ever, Half-Life. Straight outta Santego Military Base in Arizona, Opposing Force is a pair of two 4WD multibots with 360-degree lifting plows, that are named Corporal Shepard (light green), and Private Stone (dark green).

So what's worse than fighting one hellhound? Fighting two hellhounds&#33;

-TEAM TORIODORE-
"We're so good, we don't have a splashy logo yet&#33;"

Lightweight: Undetected

Image

Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 2
Weapon: 5
Armor: 10

4WD Biohazard-esque four-bar lifter with suction fans to keep it thoroughly planted to the ground. Low-down in height and pin-point in movement, Undetected lives up to the name.

Middleweight: Toriodore Ultimo

Image

Speed: 7
Traction: 4
Torque: 3
Weapon: 11
Armour: 5

Wedged 2WD drumbot, which spins at an impressive number of RPM's and has a reputation for doing quite a large deal of damage to robot's baseplates. Nippy, destructive and with a bad attitude to boot, Toriodore's not a bull to grab by the horns&#33; Able to self-right with the drum.

Heavyweight: Aeza

Image

Speed: 5
Traction: 4
Torque: 1
Weapon: 13
Armour: 7

A 2WD Ring Spinner, Aeza is a legacybot that has been brought out of retirement for one last crack at glory. Some say the owner is planning refurbishment, others say retirement... Whichever way the dice rolls, Aeza's still a force to be reckoned with.

Super Heavyweight: Fortress

Image

Speed: 5
Traction: 4
Torque: 3
Weapon: 12
Armour: 6 (+2 to the front)

2WD Drum Spinner with a heavily armored front and a devastating kick in the drum too, Fortress is a newly-designed robot. Spheres on the side to prevent it from getting stuck, plus full invertibility and a massive drum means a lot of ouch.
