Cherry Bomb Classic 2 Tag Team Terror and Special Events
<big><big>Tag-Team Terror</big></big>
A Tag-Team Terror event will be held in each weight class available in CBC. Each one will have a potential field of eight teams and will be single elimination. If eight teams do not materialize, we'll think up an alternate format. However, let's cross that bridge when we reach it. The individual weight class events will be staggered, with each taking three weeks (quarters, semis, and then finals). All of the usual rules for CBC will also apply to Tag-Team Terror and robots used in this tournament must be entered in the main draw.
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">There are two ways to sign up. The first is with a premade team. One or both members of a team will post the two bots competing, with their pictures, stats, weight class, and builders to be found in the main thread. If either member wants to back out, he or she may do so at any time. That person's bot is then not affiliated with another bot. That leads to the second way to sign up. If you do not have teammates for your bots, you may post your bots that are unaffiliated. It would also be advisable to specify what you're looking for in a partner, e.g. 'would prefer to pair with a control-based design', 'deathspinners need not apply', 'looking for someone in my timezone', 'not too serious about this', etc. Use the PM system, the discussion thread, or discord to find partners. If you do not have one by the start of the tournament, you'll be randomly paired up based upon your stated preferences and available teammates.</div>
<big><big>Tag-Team Terror Rules</big></big>
Format
Tag-team fights will be three minutes in length, as with standard fights. One team will start from the gold square and the other from the purple square. Active bots have free reign of the arena, while inactive bots are allowed to activate weaponry systems, but must remain in contact with their starting square at all times unless tagged in. When this happens, they become active and their teammate becomes inactive. For the first two minutes, only one bot per team will be considered 'active' at any given time except during changeovers. During the final minute, all bots will be considered 'active'.
Changeovers
A changeover takes place when one team member tags the other, swapping active and inactive statuses. A changeover period lasts for ten seconds, during which both bots (the newly active and newly inactive) may behave as if they are active. When that ten-second limit has expired, the newly inactive bot (the one that has just tagged itself out) must confine itself to its square.
Tagging
Tagging is accomplished in two ways: one team member may make physical contact with the other or any of its associated minibots. The inactive member must be touching its starting square when this happens and any minibots or drones attached to it must remain within three feet of the square. Alternatively, the active team member can make contact with the starting square itself, changing its status to 'inactive' and initiating a changeover.
Knockouts
If one member of a team is KOed, its formerly inactive teammate is automatically considered active. In the event that the KOed bot is revived in some way (say, an FBS righted by its teammate's flipper), it will return to the fight as the inactive bot and will be considered to be jumping until it returns to its starting square.
Jumping
Jumping is when an inactive leaves its team's square outside of a changeover period. Each team is allowed a cumulative total of three 'jumps' during a fight. A jump is a ten second grace period in which the inactive bot will be allowed to behave as if it is active. However, it will not be able to use this to tag itself in. Jumps should generally be saved for changeovers that don't quite go according to plan. Willfully jumping is a very risky strategy, as, upon the conclusion of the third jump, the offending bot will be immediately disqualified and remotely deactivated wherever it stands.
Scoring
Scoring will follow the standard ARC system, with the emphasis in the 'strategy' category being given to executing planned teamwork. Teams that lose a bot to excessive jumping will automatically lose two points in this category. Bots that retreat so as to tag a partner should not be penalized in terms of aggression, as the attempt to have two bots attacking during a changeover is an aggressive act of sorts.

Okay, put me down for:
Edit: Adding Undertow IV to Nautical Nonsense and Solomon to American Civil War
Also, here's the info for the bots I didn't enter into the tournament proper:
<big><big><big>Feeling Crabby</big></big></big>
<big>https://www.tinkercad.com/things/asikd1 ... ing-crabby</big>
Featuring the latest in "What's a corner? Never heard of it." technology, this double-disc vertical spinner is the most aquatic-themed Aquatic Robotics robot in a while. It self-rights by creating large dents in the arena floor
<big>Stats: 5 Speed / 4 Traction / 1 Torque / 6 Armor / 14 Weapon</big>
<big><big><big>Salad Spinner</big></big></big>
<big>http://imgur.com/a/lt42V
https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9C6rEv ... ad-spinner</big>
It's a spinner, with a salad theme. I never grew to like it and replaced it with uhh... Solomon, in the end. I guess I started with it in lightweight though, so Obsession is taking its place in the Lightweight rumble as that's actual participants only if I recall correctly. Someday I'll come up with an interesting idea for a spinner...
<big>Stats: 5 Speed / 2 Traction / 1 Torque / 15 Weapon / 7 Armor</big>
- Flipper Frenzy: Undertow IV
- Axe Annihilation: Red Menace
- Lightweight Lurch: <del>Salad Spinner</del> Obsession I guess
- Middleweight Melee: Mega Frogbot
- Heavyweight Hell: Undertow IV
- Martial Law: Red Menace
- Food Fight: Salad Spinner
- Wild Side: Feeling Crabby
- Walker War: Red Menace
- Slippery Customers: Mega Frogbot
- ... and more?
- A wedge-lifter in hobbyweight
- Featherweight: teamed Solomon with Pat's ramshock
- A sawbot with dustpan-ish forks in lightweight
- A (semi-) trackball drive 4-bar flipper in middleweight
- A 2wd rear-hinge flipper in heavyweight
- A walking turret hammer in superheavyweight

Whatever I end up entering will go into all six weight class rumbles. the rest of the themes and shit can wait until i decide what i want to enter.
I'll also chuck something in for the Civil War. Witty historical reference pending.
