#2: Venice Queen vs #5: Tormentor
Tormentor goes for the direct approach right away. No time like the playoffs for a no-gimmicks-needed approach right? Well, this misses out the obvious issue of Venice Queen being twice as fast as Tormenter so VQ is able to dodge Tormenter fairly easily. So instead of getting killed, Venice Queen finds itself being able to wedge Tormenter and push it over a nearby killsaw. For the most part, Tormenter keeps trying to make its aggressive gameplan work, but it

Round 2
LW:
#2: Venice Queen vs. #3: Rosebud
Rosebud starts off the fight by quickly going to the area of the nearest hammer corner. Venice Queen initially is in full speed mode, but quickly slows down once it takes notice of Rosebud camping between the saws and hammer. So Queen approaches more cautiously and this allows Rosebud to wedge it! Venice Queen is nudged over the saws which get in about 1 second of action before VQ gets itself clear. VQ comes back in a bit more assertively and gets revenge by pushing Rosebud under the hammer for a few shots. Actually a bulk of the fight ends up taking place in this small corner of the arena. There are various amounts of jockeying for position and Venice Queen

SEMI-FINALS
LW:
BlackRose vs. Venice Queen
Fuck precedents eh, Kody? They're a bitch. So are both of these robots. BlackRose tries to play bait-and-switch with the lifter but Venice Queen is just a little too fast for the lifter and gets under. Whee, hazards! BlackRose gets pounded by the hammers for a little bit and then is freed. Next time, BlackRose succeeds at her tactic and gets under Venice Queen. The problem is that Venice Queen is far too fast for BlackRose to react so she gets away pretty quickly. This actually keeps happening since BlackRose does the lifter tactic decently well from here on, but that early damage will count against her. Gabe is trying his best to try and get around BlackRose again but it's not happening. Conversely, BlackRose does have a fast lifter but can't lift fast enough before Venice Queen gets away. And this happens for the rest of the match. Remind me why people like brick vs. brick fights again?
Aggression: 8-7 Venice Queen
Damage: 10-5 Venice Queen
Strategy: 10-5 BlackRose
Venice Queen wins by a 23-22 split judges' decision.
Pyrite vs The Smiler
Oh hey look, spinner vs Brick. How original :V . and the brick is being aggressive, while the spinner is being cage-ey. How original :V . and then the spinner tries to get around the robot that has twice it

FINALS!
LW:
Venice Queen vs. Pyrite
Venice Queen has ALL TEH SPEED, even more than Pyrite has. Good thing for him too since he's going all out aggressive. Pyrite knows he can't win any races against VQ, so tries some of the sneaky angle in tactics that everyone knows and loves. To a point they work. I say to a point as VQ is able to back away before Pyrite can really get too far while pushing VQ. And this is what happens when we have two speedy bricks going at it, the fight becomes like 90% about doing nothing. That said, Pyrite is able to land a few blows with the pointed hammer-head, though since he's really only connecting with the front of VQ, it's doing little more than some really fine scratches on the paint. Eventually, VQ's unreleanting aggression allows him to wedge Pyrite and push him over a kill saw that's a few feet away from where they were at the time. Sparks go flying and stuff! Of course before you know it we're back to doing what we were before. No one is really taking control of the fight. Then at around the 2:15 mark Pyrite lands a nice shot square on the top of VQ that leaves a nice dent in the armor. Some quick driving allows him to land another hit close to the same spot. VQ works furiously to avoid the overhead thwack, but keeps getting rebuffed by the ABR plow. That's about it for action in this one.
Aggression: 10-5 Venice Queen
Damage: 12-3 Pyrite
Strategy: 9-6 Pyrite
Pyrite wins 26-19
MW:
Depth Charge vs Juno
I think Kody mistook horizontal gyroscopic forces for y-axis ones, because Juno
