Zadkiel vs. Conqueror

Alex shouts out "Do not let him anywhere near my sides or corners. I cannot stress this enough" in all caps, at the start of the match. Of course, uhh Zadkiel gets to Conqueror's sides and corners. Conqueror does a good job absorbing a lot of blows into the wedge, but the size of the disc makes it difficult to do consistently. Zadkiel nicks the corners of Conqueror, bending and peeling that front silver wedge. Conqueror does get underneath, but doesn't get a clean flip in because Zadkiel falls off the wedge, failing to be inverted. Finally Zadkiel gets a clean hit on that silver wedge, ripping it off. Conqueror goes into full desperation mode, trying to ram into the disc and get it to stop, but doesn't succeed. Zadkiel tears Conqueror up in the process, before Conqueror can no longer move and is counted out.

Zadkiel wins by a knockout in 2:12.

Redline vs. Something Vibrant
Redline bolts out of the square and Martijn is careful to press the front lifter on SV as Dylan tries to skid around it. Some maneuvering occurs, and it

Robot Bastards Semifinals

LW:

Microwave vs. Redline

Redline beelines and Microwave spins like a dish inside of a microwave. Redline absorbs a hit and Microwave rips off one of the piano teeth, but Redline is still on him. Microwave doesn't get any time to breath before Redline crashes into him again, stopping the blade. Redline slams Microwave into the wall, before getting underneath Microwave again and taking him to the other wall. The second wall slam nearly flips Microwave, but he lands on his wheels and the blade gets up to deadly speed again. Redline isn't far behind and crashes into Microwave again, losing two more teeth. This time a wall slam is able to flip Microwave over completely, and before the flagpole is able to self right Microwave, Redline shove him under the arena hammer. Redline pins Microwave for the allotted time, and the abuse appears to have bent the flagpole. Microwave barely manages to self right, but Redline is all over him again. He's just too fast for Microwave to consistently get his blade up to speed, smothering Microwave constantly. Redline slams Microwave into the wall one more time before the buzzer sounds.

Aggression: 14-1 Redline
Damage: 11-4 Microwave
Strategy: 10-5 Redline

Redline wins by a 28-17 judges' decision.

Zadkiel vs. O'Malley

Its a semi final match between two powerful spinners. Words have never been able to do justice to spinner vs spinner matches, so we can just say that O'Malley and Zadkiel hit each other a lot. While Zadkiel seemed to have the advantage, with O'Malley getting spun around like what happened in their first match, Zadkiel's weapon unfortunately breaks down from the stress and O'Malley is able to go to town. The wheel guards went, then the wheel, then Lian threw in the towel.

O'Malley wins by a knockout in 2:14.

MW:
Sarge vs. Pterodactyl

No more Stabstract, what's the fucking point? Stabstract was what kept me going throughout this tournament. Not Sarge or Pterodactyl, nor Square Wave or No Patrol, who may appear either in the next or the previous fight, depending on how Nick's gonna format this. No robot is gonna transform into anything this round. Courtesy of Stabstract losing. What does happen is a fight between Sarge and Pterodactyl. A perfectly fine fight to be brutally honest, 2 fine wedges who both have their work cut out for them. Sarge presses down his lifter, Pterodactyl aims between the teeth. Pterodactyl draws the first blood, successfully getting under Sarge, and flipping him. Sarge, however, is invertible, how clever, and while Pterodactyl does get in a 2nd flip straight after, he fails to score a 3rd one. Sarge regains his traction, and as if unaffected by the flips, attacks Pterodactyl. Sarge's superior control lets it get under Pterodactyl this time, and while at first only lifting Pterodactyl's wedge and not his body, another burst of acceleration gets Sarge under Pterodactyl completely, who tries to drive off, but doesn't do so before Sarge reaches the hammer... ouch! More of this happens throughout the match, Pterodactyl scores flips, Sarge scores hazard damage, and it's quite a show. None of the bots is close to be immobilized when time runs out though.

Aggression: 8-7 Pterodactyl
Damage: 9-6 Sarge
Strategy: 8-7 Sarge

Sarge wins, 24-21!

Square Wave vs. No Patrol

Grrr, another match without Stabstract. And I am not the only one who's pessimistic, would you look at Dylan in the control booth! "I really don't have much of a strategy here. In fact I know there's no way I can win this. I gotta try though, right?", is what ARC's lip readers claim Dylan was saying. That's the spirit Dylan! Alex doesn't really seem to notice, all he's thinking of is the many different incarnations of Barrier. Not sure why. What happens is that both robots attack the other with their wedge. Quite often throughout the match actually. I will tell you of that one occasion when No Patrol did get under Square Wave and managed to feed him to the drum. I will also tell you of the one time No Patrol monstertrucked over Square Wave, and ended up behind Square Wave, hitting Square Wave with the spinner. Most of the other time though, it was Square Wave who solidly got under No Patrol, and a few times Square Wave managed to feed No Patrol to the hammers. The judges took note.

Aggression: 9-6 Square Wave
Damage: 9-6 No Patrol
Strategy: 10-5 Square Wave

Square Wave wins, 25-20!

HW:
Klarinette vs Chupacabra
Both drivers are aggressive, thinking they each have the wedge advantage. Chupacabra manages to sneak its forks under first, getting a nice lock on Klarinette and taking her to the killsaws to try and damage the tracks. Klarinette hammers away with the hammer that can make contact, pushing down with the scoop in an attempt to break free

RB Finals

Lightweight: O'Malley vs. Redline

Activate has been called, and the Robot Bastards finals are underway! Badnik immediately box rushes O'Malley, and stops O'Malley's weapon before it has even spun up! Redline pushes O'Malley to the hammers. Next, O'Malley gets a shot on Redline, but only hits a flat side, and so only causes a scratch. Redline then successfully stalls the weapon on O'Malley, and pushes Josh's robot to the pulveriser. Redline stalls O'Malleys weapon again, but O'Malley escapes this time. O'Malley gets another shot on Redline, tearing a hole in the side of Redline's wedge. Redline rams O'Malley into the pulverisers once again, and is starting to cause some noticeable damage to the top of O'Malley. However, O'Malley proves he is no pushover, and makes the hole in Redline's wedge even bigger. O'Malley then gets another shot on Redline's wedge, and it is torn off! However, Redline finishes the match strong by getting round the back of O'Malley and slamming him into the arena drum.

Judges Decision:

Aggression: 11-4 Redline
Damage: 10-5 O'malley
Strategy: 9-6 Redline

Redline wins by a 25-20 judges decision!

Middleweight: Sarge vs. Square Wave

The match kicks off quick enough, with both speedy bots angling in on each other and pressing their fronts. Both drivers fairly confident they have the lower front. What follows is a painful exercise in statistics, where Square Wave gets under initially, pushes Sarge for a bit, but Sarge with wheels still touching on one side wiggles off before anything too serious can happen. Then Sarge gets under, and Square Wave wiggles off in a similar way before anything too serious can happen. Square Wave gets under now and gives Sarge a good taste of the killsaws, and then the wall. Sarge gets under now and gives Square Wave a good taste of killsaws and wall in a similar way. Two minutes of this bullcrap pass and it
