Week 2:

LW
Conqueror vs Scarab
Lemme get this straight, scarabs were NOT one of the plagues of Egypt Alex. Nor was Conqueror, but I agree that it should be one, there just aren't enough robots in the Bible. The 2 machines try to meet one another with their respective weapons whilst trying to dodge each other's weapon. How boring. They end up meeting wedge-to-drum, less boring, 2 robots knocked away from one another, chunk torn out of Conqueror... but the faster Conqueror gets back in, under Scarab's side, and flips! Scarab's invterted, from the side, doesn't give a fuck, the drum is spinning, and the Conqueror, knowing he is the more mobile of the 2, tries to drive around the rear! Scarab doesn't quite allow THAT to happen, and a quick flick of the controls suddenly rams Scarab's drum into Conqueror's side! Another little chunk of Conqueror goes flying, less severe than when Scarab hit the corner earlier, and some quick steering from Alex now gets Conqueror under Scarab, Conqueror flips, Scarab's drum hits the ground, Scarab quite litteraly launches itself, and Alex notices that Scarab's drum is a bit sturdier than he expected. Conqueror uses the time Scarab needs to get back on his feet to rush in on Scarab, now near the wall, and in an attempt to feed the drum to the arena, fires the flipper again. Conqueror however didn't manage to effectively got under from Scarab's rear or front, but instead found itself penetrating Scarab's belly from the side. As a result, he effectively stranded Scarab against the wall, and much to Kody's dismay, there's nothing the beetle inspired robot can do against it.

Conqueror wins by KO in 2.15

Zadkiel vs O'Malley
There's a lot of hitting, and a lot of damage in this one. Zadkiel comes in at an angle but its easy enough for O'Malley to compensate. O'Malley is doing more noticable damage to Zadkiel's disc, and eventually tears off a tooth late in the match. Zadkiel manages more hits on O'Malley's chassis, though, because each resulting hit sends O'Malley around, and allows Zadkiel to follow up with a hit on O'Malley's chassis. He rips off one of the spikes, and slices into the chassis. O'Malley gets away, but they are dangerously close to the wall now. Another hit sends O'Malley spinning into the wall, and Zadkiel takes advantage of the situation with another couple of hits. Finally O'Malley is back into the center of the arena, where the robots are forced to go disc to disc again until Zadkiel's aforementioned tooth gets ripped off.

Aggression: 8-7 Zadkiel
Damage: 9-6 Zadkiel
Strategy: 9-6 Zadkiel

Zadkiel wins by a 26-19 judges' decision.

Speed Buster vs Mr Not Very Nice
Its a very back and forth fight with little to no thwacking! Mr. Not Very Nice's wedge works more often than not, allowing him to get underneath Speed Buster and flip him. To his credit, Speed Buster is able to trap Mr. NvN a couple times and pin him under the hammers. When they do get into a pushing match, its Speed Buster who wins. In these head to heads, its difficult for Mr. NVN to escape. Anyway a couple more rams wrap this one up.

Aggression: 8-7 Mr. Not Very Nice
Damage: 9-6 Speed Buster
Strategy: 8-7 Speed Buster

Speed Buster wins by a 24-21 judges' decision.

No Exit vs Redline
Redline zips around at high speed and guns straight for No Exit. No Exit approaches with the back however and, uhh, Redline just gets under straight away. There doesn't seem to be any loss of momentum, and Redline just slams No Exit into the wedged wall, flipping him in the process. No Exit self-rights, but before he can get back around, Redline is already on him again, following up with another slam. No Exit is able to get around this time, taking advantage of Redline accidentally sliding a bit across the arena floor. No Exit uses this opportunity to flip Redline high in the air, and follow it up with a couple of other big flips before Redline scoots away. Redline takes a long run at No Exit, but No Exit gets underneath. Redline attempts to just go straight over the chassis, but Nick is quick with the trigger and times the flipper perfectly. The weird angle of Redline, combined with the 'rear hinged flipper' causes Redline to spin a couple times in the air. Undazed, he gets underneath No Exit once again, and gets in a couple more wall slams, before pinning No Exit under the hammers in the waning seconds of the fight.

Aggression: 10-5 Redline
Damage: 8-7 No Exit
Strategy: 8-7 No Exit

Redline wins by a 24-21 judges' decision.

Something Vibrant wins by FF

Le-Mans vs Dr P
Le-Mans gets under Dr P's scoop early, but fails to actually flips Dr P and stead just lifts up the scoop and throws Dr P backwards a bit. Dr P recovers and steers under Le-Mans's front corner, and... pretty much dominates from there for a it. Dr P's weapon comes down on Le-Mans multiple times, until Le-Man drives away, his top all sorts of damaged, and this time he manages to attack the Dr's corner, gets well under, and flips! Dr P is inverted but far from helpless, and he drives away, perpendicular to Le-Mans's path, and rights itself. The 2 meet each other wedge-to-wedge again, and Dr P is the one who gets underneath now. Aaaaaaaand the axing continues! Dr P even manages this time to slowly but steadily move the the battle towards the drum. Very slowly indeed, but that axe is still going and going and going until. DRRRUUUUMMMM! That's the sound of the drum! Le-Mans and Dr P both fly away upon being Le-Mans being struck, neither inverted. The 2 then dance around each other some more. Not for that long though. And thank god, because this last bit was quite boring...

Aggression: 9-6 Dr P
Damage: 11-4 Dr P
Strategy: 9-6 Dr P

Dr P wins, 29-16!

MW
Luna vs Toothache
Kody spins up Luna, confident and looking in full form after a tough loss last week. Toothache? Well, he looks to be scared. He avoids hitting Luna near the center but tries to lure Luna to the hazards. Kody ain

Round 3

LW
Scarab vs Microwave
Okay this is pretty much a judgement call in how wide the robots are. If Microwave's blade is at least as wide as Scarab, then it's a likely Microwave knockout. If Scarab is wider than Microwave, it makes it difficult for Microwave to ever get a hit on the drum supports. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Microwave's Blade is at least as wide as Scarab. Scarab does a good job of keeping his drum in Microwave's face and the audience are privy to seeing some sparks and seeing Microwave 'helicopter' backwards on each hit. Microwave does get flipped, and while Scarab does a little victory dance Microwave's self-righting pole actually does work and allows it to self-right. Within the next couple of hits, Microwave is able to move such that he catches the top of the drum, flinging Scarab around. Microwave is quick to follow up with another hit and catches the support. The support breaks completely and the drum goes flying. Scarab comes in with the wedge but the next hit trashes the side and breaks the track.

Microwave wins by a knockout in 1:58

Conqueror vs Zadkiel
Just an FYI, GF93, the ruling is that the weapon power needs to be so many points above 'weapon armor' which is calculated separately from regular armor. In this case, Zadkiel's weapon armor is 6 +4 (for being a disc) = 10, which is only 3 points below his weapon power.

Conqueror spends a lot of the match angling in correctly and taking Zadkiel's hits on the nose and flipping him early. He sends Zadkiel crashing into the walls a couple of times. However, over the course of the match the damage does take its toll, and Zadkiel does eventually catch the corner on Conqueror, ripping the armor wide open and bending the flipping plate. The opening in the armor makes things worse, as it gives Zadkiel more places for the disc to latch onto. He really starts ripping into Conqueror's armor now, ripping off huge pieces. Another hit just knocks Conqueror out completely.

Zadkiel wins by a knockout in 2:22

O'Malley vs No Exit
Too good bots with a tough 0-2 start. Who is hungrier to get their season back on track? Let

Round 4
LW

Zadkiel vs Scarab
Scarab keeps its drum facing Zadkiel, who responds in turn, trying to angle its disc into the side supports. The faster drumbot is able to get a direct frontal collision going though, catching the disc and sending Zadkiel tumbling back. Unlike Microwave

Week 5
LW
Speed Buster vs Scarab

Fight! Kody seems to be expecting a box rush with the wedge pointed in front, but Speed Buster aims for the flat sides of Scarab! Kody just barely turns in time but Speed Buster is already under and sending Scarab directly to the wall. POW! <del>Bigger Brother</del> Scarab is slammed right into the Lexan, and the brick is under again and this time aiming for the Killsaws! Kody struggles to escape, and he just barely does before he gets one of his tracks torn off. Speed Buster isn't fast enough this time around and Scarab gets underneath the front of the Buster, delivering a punishing blow the front forks. One of them is bent and it seems Scarab is back in control of the match! Speed Buster tries to aim for the sides again and just barely gets it once again, but he has a harder time getting under because of that bent spike. This gives Kody an opening and he gets under the side skirt, delivering a nasty hit to it that warps the skirt in such a way that it can't be used for skirting anymore. Speed Buster gets flung, and lands right-side up. He comes back in, now looking a little worse for wear, and manages to get under the front corner of Scarab. Incoming slam right into the pulverizers! Ouch! Speed Buster seems content in holding Scarab here as he holds the drumbot there for the full 30 seconds before having to back off. He moves back in, but it seems that 30 seconds had a massive impact on Scarab because he isn't moving. At all. Fortunately for Kody, the match ends before Scarab is counted out.

Aggression: Speed Buster 10-5
Damage: Speed Buster 9-6
Strategy: Speed Buster 8-7

Speed Buster wins a 27-18 judge's decision.

Zadkiel vs No Exit
No Exit is ready to go, flying across the arena and smashing head-on with the ramp into the spinning disc of Zadkiel and sparks go flying too. Having some trouble against the smooth armor of No Exit, Zadkiel actually does minimal damage the first hit and gets knocked back, while the bots reset. Another exchange and Zadkiel scrapes along the side of No Exit, who weasels its way under the body and pushes Zadkiel into the killsaws

Week 6
LW

No Exit vs Scarab
Scarab leads with the wedge and No Exit sees this and attempts to go around it. Scarab keeps pace with him, though and the wedge continues to point at No Exit. The good rotational acceleration and zero turning radius, Scarab not only keeps his wedge facing No Exit, but starts to get aggressive and drives at No Exit. No Exit gets caught by the wedge, but immediately falls off. He tries to spin around to Scarab's side, but Scarab turns quick enough and uses his wedge to get underneath No Exit's ramp and high center No Exit. He feeds No Exit's ramp into the drum and flips No Exit with a bang. By hitting the underside of the ramp, Scarab was able to inflict corner damage, and the ramp is severely bent. From here on out its basically impossible for No Exit to get underneath Scarab. He is able to capitalize on a couple of times where the drum's gyroscopic effect made it difficult for Scarab to turn, pushing Scarab into some hazards, but Scarab is quick to escape and usually forces No Exit into the drum.

Aggression: 9-6 No Exit
Damage: 13-2 Scarab
Strategy: 10-5 Scarab

Scarab wins by a 29-16 judges' decision.

Son of a Box vs Mystic's LW
Speed Buster wins by coin toss.

Le-Mans vs Zadkiel
Zadkiel is tearing chunks off Le-Mans! Really, that is the general gist. Le-Mans initial box rush only does so much. Zadkiel regains its control, disc spins up, and Zadkiel gives Le-Mans a thorough beating from there. Le-Mans bravely appraches Zadkiel head-on a few times, resulting in Le-Mans's weapon eventually being ripped clean off. Le-Mans eventuall goes on the defensive, retreats towards the walls. When time runs out, Le-Mans is still moving. Good for him.

Zadkiel was tearing chunks off Le-Mans

Aggression: 8-7 Le-Mans
Damage: 14-1 Zadkiel
Strategy: 14-1 Zadkiel

Zadkiel wins, 35-10!

Dr P vs Microwave
Dr. P moves out, and tries to rush Microwave, but by the time the two collide, Microwave has fully spun up. Both bots are sent flying, and Dr. P's plow is hanging by a thread. Microwave spins up again, and Dr. P's plow is ripped straight off. Microwave spins up again, and Dr. P charges at Microwave. Both robots go flying again, but Dr. P stops moving on one side. Microwave finishes him off with one more hit.

Microwave wins by KO in 1:50

Something Vibrant vs Conqueror
Something Vibrant is across the stage with the forks, trying to win that frontal battle. Conks uses its own speed to be a bit tricky, trying to come in diagonally, the two bounce off each other for one exchange with SV sliding over Conks with no consequence. Something Vibrant comes in again, gets one of the forks right under the corner of Conqueror and into the wall Conqueror goes! A nice slam, and Conks sets about giving something back but fails to get an opening, and the two mix it up a bit more, Something Vibrant getting under again, Conks gets a buttfull of saws, but Conks gets off and eventually manages to sneak under the front side of Something Vibrant and gets a beautiful flip in, sending SV right into the saws. Another flip after it drives off and it bounces off the wall. Martijn

LW
Scarab vs Son of a Box
Scarab wins by Son of a FF!

No Exit vs Le-Mans
No Exit takes big advantage of his superior wedge in this match, constantly getting underneath Le-mans and flipping him around. Le-Mans is able to do little to challenge this, and only gets in few token flips throughout the course of the fight. No Exit racks up some hazard damage by pinning Le-Mans underneath the hammers and flipping him with the drum. This one got a little ugly, but still went to a judges' decision.

Aggression: 10-5 No Exit
Damage: 13-2 No Exit
Strategy: 10-5 No Exit

No Exit wins by a 33-12 judges' decision.

Week 9

LW
Scarab vs Dr P
A rematch from Ruination: The Omen! Dr P is quick out of the square and slams Scarab, who is bumped away as the drum scrapes against the smooth wedge of its opponent. Kody keeps that drum facing Dr P and tries to get the corners of the plow. Alex is careful with his approaches and seems to be benefiting from geometry as the drum only manages to scrape the plow a little bit on the transition from the gradual slope to the steeper slope, minimizing the actual energy transferred. Dr P gives Scarab a solid slam into the spikestrip this time and Scarab is on top of it, tracks whirring madly, Scarab

<del>Week 11</del> Week 10

LW
Something Vibrant vs Scarab
Something Vibrant is quick to cross the arena, trying to get to the sides of Scarab. Martijn is aggressive and slams the bot, managing to sneak his forks under the drum without consequence on the first go, getting a slam in but the drum clips the top corner of the big box bot and sparks go everywhere. Scarab is freed by the hit and gets in another hit as SV repositions, and the side armor gets nicked as SV is flipped over. Another hit and further damage, but Martijn has other plans for the fight and gives Scarab a mean looking slam into the Pulverizer corner, Scarab bounces off the wall, taking a shot from the hammer, and delivers yet another direct hit to the armor on the bigger bot and SV is flung into the wall, in a precarious position where it is balanced there. Normally SV could use its forks to bump out of this position but it seems to be unable to move them! SV is counted out.

Scarab wins by KO in 1:14

Week 𝜋....

LW
Mr Not Very Nice vs Scarab
Mr. NVN box rushes right at the start and gets under Scarab's wedge. Scarab rides up Mr. NVN's wedge, but since they're still by the starting square the force causes Scarab to get slammed into the wall. Scarab's wedge mostly gets in the way of the drum, but the drum still hurts Mr. NVNs wedge. Mr. NVN keeps up the pressure by getting under Scarab's side and shoving him into another wall. Mr. NVN continues this aggression until he gets Scarab to the arena hammer. Scarab gets a beating and is pounded until Mr. NVN is forced to back away. Scarab gets his front facing Mr. NVN again, and this time Mr. NVN uses his thwack to hit the flat side of Scarab's wedge and rotate Scarab, exposing a vulnerable side. Mr. NVN takes advantage again and Scarab gets dumped onto the saws a couple of times, with Scarab really unable to get away thanks to Mr. NVN's faster speed. Late in the match Scarab manages to get underneath Mr. NVN's wedge and sends him flying with the drum, performing a sick 720 in the air. Mr. NVN lands with his wedge partially ripped off. Mr. NVN responds with a couple of thwacks, which he's able to perform with impunity thanks to Scarab's wedge covering the drum.

Aggression: 12-3 Mr. Not Very Nice
Damage: 9-6 Scarab
Strategy: 10-5 Mr. Not Very Nice

Mr. Not Very Nice wins by a 28-17 judges' decision.

O'Malley vs Redline
It is wedge vs spinner and O'Malley draws first blood. The flat of Redline's wedge is hit, not to catastrophic effect, but hit nonetheless. Redline goes back on the attack, receives another hit, but O'Malley's disc is quite clearly slowing down after 2 wedge rushes in quick succession. A 3rd hit stalls the bars completely, and due to the shape of O'Malley's weapon Redline can stall it from a position very close to the center of rotation, making it hard for O'Malley to spin up again. Redline slams O'Malley into the wall and takes him to the hammer. Redline makes the most out of this situation until he's forced to let O'Malley go. Both machines go back on the attack, and this time O'Malley gets more damage done to Redline's wedge. Quite a bit by now to be honest, but again this mad bullfight leads to Redline stalling O'Malley's weapon after a few hits, followed by a tour through wall and hazards. This fight is getting repetitive huh? Doesn't matter, it is still exciting folks!

Aggression: 9-6 Redline
Damage: 10-5 O'Malley
Strategy: 9-6 Redline

Redline wins, 23-22!

Conqueror vs Dr. P
FYI, you are not a nuclear submarine. You are a robot. Anyway, both robots collide, and Conqueror gets underneath. Dr. P gets a free trip to the pulveriser! Dr. P gets under next, and Conqueror gets hit by the hammer a few times. Next, Conqueror gives Dr. P a ride to the wall, via Conqueror's flipper. You'd have to pay good money for a ride like that at Disneyland! The rest of the match contains Conqueror getting in more attacks than Dr. P, the Team Targeted machine getting many hammer blows in, and a judges decision.

Damage: 9-6 Conqueror
Aggression: 8-7 Dr. P
Strategy: 8-7 Conqueror

Conqueror wins by a 24-21 JD!

Microwave vs Le-Mans
