Speak freely but don't be stupid about it or you'll find yourself on the last train to Clarksville, ya dumbass.

...and we're still going strong. Indeed, stronger than we've ever been before.

Just remember, if it weren't for the likes of Diacronic, Komodo, Area51Escapee, and Fish of Doom, we would never have this community we love so much.

So let's give them a hearty round of applause. You guys rule.

Here's to many more years of ARC guys.

Area51Escapee I believe was the final one of those pioneers to compete before retiring.

These are the true old guard, the guys who built the foundation of ARC that we're now continuing to build on. Plenty of respect for them, and I do feel quite fortunate to have competed against some of them way back in ARC Armageddon. It's been a blast so far, here's to another 15 years!

That, or the actual FRC that was done with real bots. That's also how the Robot Wars Discussion Forum fanfic started out and gradually turned into FRA Fanfic. So I guess ARC and FRA aren't so different upon retrospect.

Hmm, that's an idea.

QUESTION: Which of the bots from the old guard do you wish you could have fought against, and why?

Not sure really, but maybe we could bring back the old school designs in order to celebrate.

I won't pretend to know much of anything about that lot, but I owe them a great deal of gratitude for kicking this whole thing off.

I'm a little late and that's all way before I was into this stuff, but it's quite a milestone! Happy anniversary!

Basically, he just set it up for disgruntled members of the Comedy Central message boards to come over and have a place to hang out (CC message boards were basically spam galore and idiots run amok). After we settled into our new home, we didn't start our first FRC/CFRC until a year or so into the forums, if I recall correctly, and we didn't actually get our name ARC until our intense rivalry with Aceuplink had begun. Up until that point, we were basically just "Komodo's Forums" so we needed our own identity badly.

15 years certainly makes me feel old, but I can't imagine Komodo thought his little idea to start a new community would wind up lasting this long.

Kudos to you all for keeping it alive and active!

Kudos to you and the rest of the originals for starting it off as well!
