..........were is would be remenisent of the old RA2 bot exchange, were is would be located on the DC site, and what you'd do is it would have a list of uploaded bots, that are made in 2d CAD or snapshots of 3D CAD, and you'd upload a bots pic, Weight Class, weapon, name, and notes for it, as a way to share/keep track of bots made by people. And it would be Open-source, so you would not need an acount to upload it, but still include a name. So anyone on the site could look throught the list, click the name, save the pic, and they've got it saved for whatever reason. Just a thought, I'm sure you will all hate it, I'd end up cussing at all of you, getting temp banned, and this thread locked, but it's just a thought!

A simple "yes and no" would suffice. And actually a database type set-up for CFRC/ARC bots would be kind of cool but I'm talking ones that have competed, not 120 random paint pics by you.

well, ya, but not just for competitors ya know. I would only submit my posted bots or others with similar designs. There are some bots with unique designs i wanna keep private.....

Or, possibly, I coul- oh, wait I'd need to hack. Well, it was an idea.
And if it was just for me, I would not have said anyone, anywere, any time, could upload bots.

I'm with John... if you're going to do it, only those that have actually competed in the past should be allowed. What you want, you already have a thread for... complete with a slide and a ball pit at the bottom.

Only if people who actually HAVE competed in RA2 in the past want to participate and repost the pics/stats/stories of their past glories/epic fails. I never did RA2, so I'll be out of that one.

Ok, reread it... again, it's only if past participants WANT to do it. But don't we already have a CAD library thread?

Well we also have a CFL database, it's just missing most of the pics and doesn't have specific info about the bots.

yes, like that, but like one looooong page of bots, and info, and thoughts. And ocasinal bots added. It can't be all competed bots, at least not for this Idea, 'cause ARC is like, twice a year, and not everyone will want to add there competitors. But if it were to be made so anyone could upload bots, it should have a 2 bot per week limit. Bur you controll it.

I know, but I mean for eeeeeeeveryone, but the other idea is better than none. So I'd go with just that. But it would still mean limited bots.........

Ultimately it's Chris's decision what to host on the site but I don't see much point in it. That and this isn't a user-driven site so Chris would actually have to do the leg work of updating it all.
