Hit or Miss and other Team AC/DC Projects
Move this thread around as you wish to where it best fits.
Over the past few events Hit or Miss has become worse for wear, taking alittle damage here and there, and slowly falling apart. At the last event I had a huge problem with the weapon motor cutting out so I shelved it out of frustration. But now I know wheat the problem is. The ESC was cutting off power to the motor because the battery current was too high. So to solve it, I'm simply putting it back on the 2 2-cell 480mAh packs in series. Lots of other things need to be done too. Here it is as of now.
So, here's my challenge. I want to get this thing running over the next few days and build a fairy.
Hopefully this version will do well at HORD in Ohio next month, for which I an registered. If not, I might bring back the old version with only one wedge. It seemed to be more stable and agile. Time will tell, but I need something that runs.

wut a gay bot lolz.
Just kidding, it looks good. You should probably get a new blade, here is one I have been working on, hoping to get it cut by the end of the year for Brad's bot, we'd probably cut out like 8 or something, so I could maybe send you one, or sell it to you for pretty cheap.
Here's the design.

Yeah, I do need a new blade. I looked into getting a bar cut, but it was too much money. I'd be willing to pay you for one if you have any to spare.

38:1 16mm Banebots. I love those things Dylan. They're the perfect balance of speed and power. 12 bucks each too.

YAY!!!!!! Hit or Miss recently attended the Ohio Robot Club's House of Robotic Destruction (HORD) event and I took first place going 7-1 and winning the rumble!!! Finally!!! It was an awesome trip, long too...6 hours to Ohio, nearly 8 hours there, and then 6 hours back home for a combined total of 20 hours.
I have some really cool videos and pictures and whatnot to upload and post, but right now I'm tired as hell. I got an amazing trophy though.

Yeah, well I haven't changed anything on the robot for a few months, I was just having issues with teh overvoltage/overcurrent protector on my weapon. I had some trouble at the beginning of the event, but I swapped my batteries to run in parallel instead of series and it was amazing. I should have videos up tonight or tomorrow night. It depends on how late I want to stay up tonight.
Anywho, here's a picture of Hit or Miss in all his glory with the awards and such.

Hey Andrew, do you think you could hook me up with a 20mm hub and a new shaft for a VDD kit? How much would it cost? I ordered a hub months ago, but never got it. The mail out here sucks...lol.

That one is probably 4-6 months old. It was a pretty good hit, but the camera doesn't show it all that well.

I, too, have footage of that hit. Granted, I didn't frame it right for a big ass hit.
