Bots That Didn't Make It Pt. 1: Teardrop

Teardrop is a lightweight thwackbot inspired by RW's Gabriel. The main weapon is a curved axe blade that surrounds the body of the robot. It's powered by the momentum of the robot and also a motor that is connected to a ring gear on the inside of one of the wheels. This allows the weapon to used when stationary and when it's moving, allows the blade to hit even faster as it works in the opposite direction to the wheels travel. It also allows most of the robots weight to be used in the attack for heavier blows.

Unsure of it's stats but think it would be something like this:
Speed - 6 | Weapon - 12 | Armour - 8 (+1 wheels) | Traction - 3 | Torque - 1

it looks damned cool but it's not gonna be able to do jack shit with 1 traction... hammers can get away with lower weapon values, especially this one, since you're planning on combining thwacking power with a powered hammer. I would highly suggest taking some power out of that and putting it into traction, so that you can actually turn and control your robot and shit

Thanks. Took 2 from weapon and added to traction. Stats are my weakest area in ARC and I don't the rules well enough for thwackbots.

Teardrop reminds me of Wheeliwako from Robot Wars Series 3, it's a nice concept and has that futuristic feel to it.

Just gonna say, awesome designs dude. There's an almost organic quality to them that makes them look really high tech. Especially the walker. Looks more sci fi than robot combat almost, like you've come from the future to show us what robot combat will be.

Regarding Teardrop... you might want to reference Newton's third law.

Bots That Didn't Make It Pt. 2: Unnamed FW Melty

An alternate idea I had for CBC FW if I wasn't going to use Feathergo 2. Invertable 4WD melty spinner with the wheels rotated inwards so it spins easier and faster.

That's pretty cool, very nicely-made. Reminds me a lot of The Dork Knight with that shape. :P

While development starts on Vertigo 3, Vertigo 2 has been transformed into this: Vortex. Vortex ditches the veritcal spinner in favour of a pneumatic 4 bar flipper similar to BB's Lucky. Two wheels have also been removed making it a more manoeuvrable 4WD and allowing for more space for the pneumatic system. Vortex retains the sprung armoured skirts and srimech of V2 with a new paint scheme giving the robot a fresh look. Vortex is going to be entered into Fixation: Monkeywrench tournament on Reddit.

Speed: 8 | Weapon: 4(1 for srimech) | Armour: 10 (+1 front) | Traction: 5 | Torque: 3

Does look very cool, black/electric blue is a good combo there. Also that appears to be a WipEout font, which I approve of as well =P
