R.I.P. Robin Williams

Talk about anything relating to the "boob tube" or the "silver screen".

This is truly sad for me. Williams seemed to be one of those people you either loved or hated, but I never understood why people hated him. First thing I saw him in was "Good Morning Vietnam," and I loved him in it. I haven't seen his more dramatic roles (outside of Dead Poets' Society), but I do love everything I've seen him in. I even loved him (and the entire ensemble cast) of "The Big Wedding," which a lot of my other friends really disliked, as it was a largely formulaic comedy. I laughed constantly throughout it, and Williams' priest character was a big reason for it. In "The Butler", I thought he played Ike very well. And I loved his one-season sitcom "The Crazy Ones." I didn't like the name of the show, but I loved everything else about the show. It was great. I loved his spastic humor, and sympathized with the sadder, darker sides of his characters that he portrayed. I will indeed miss his wit and genius.

R.I.P. Robin.
