Oh the nitpicking I could do. But I'll do the buddy thing and just be silent. Ozzman Cometh is a great compilation though.

Can I bump this thread? Can I? Well I'm fucking doing it anyway because...Tony's boredom somehow got through to me.

23. "Powerslave" - Iron Maiden
22. "Boston" - Boston

I have noticed that nearly everyone who likes Battlebots likes Foo Fighters.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like their music is very suitable for robot combat. Aggressive and loud, but playful.

lol. I love the Foos because they are fucking awesome and all the albums they have put out (eeeehhh...maybe One By One not so much) are just completely amazing. They wholeheartedly deserved all those Grammys they were awarded.

I've really been addicted to the song "White Limo" as of late

Nah they definitely lost it after There is Nothing Left to Lose. Three mediocre albums in a row; I was ready to stick a fork in the band. But they brought it back with their last one. Wasting Light is properly good.

Guess we beg to differ a bit, then, as I really liked In Your Honor and Echoes Silence Patience & Grace. One By One I agree though was rather vanilla.

Welp, I suppose I could update this list too. Most of it stays the same (the top 10-15) but some of it definitely isn't.

25 - Melvins - Lysol
24 - !!! - Myth Takes
23 - Satellite Lost - Bows and Arrows against Lightning
22 - Form of Rocket - Se Puede Despedir A Todos
21 - Spoon - Girls Can Tell
20 - Frank Zappa - We're Only In It For The Money
19 - TV On The Radio - Young Liars
18 - Swans - Filth
17 - Acid King - Busse Woods
16 - Donovan - A Gift from a Flower to a Garden
15 - Neil Young - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
14 - Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
13 - Dave Matthews Band - Before these Crowded Streets
12 - Cave In - Planets of Old
11 - Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
10 - Porcupine Tree - Signify
9 - The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
8 - The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath
7 - Yes - Close to the Edge
6 - Failure - Magnified
5 - Old Man Gloom - Seminar III: Zozobra
4 - Beck - Odelay
3 - Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
2 - King Crimson - Discipline
1 - Talking Heads - Remain in Light

You can tell I pretty much stopped collecting music when I made the last list. I need to get better about representing the dad-rock. Only 6 groups that were active before the 80s, and I picked 80s albums from two of them (goddamn it).

I'll try this. Given that my top 25 seems to change on a regular basis, and that I tried to avoid "Greatest Hits" packages, which I have quite a lot of (Black Sabbath, Pantera, Queen, etc), it was trickier than I thought to put together. But here we go, arranged alphabetically by band name, and then chronologically by release. Hopefully.

The Almighty - Crank
Deftones - White Pony
Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
Green Day - Dookie
Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
Lostprophets - Thefakesoundofprogress
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Metallica - ...And Justice for All
Ministry - Psalm 69 (The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs)
Muse - Black Holes and Revelations
Nirvana - Nevermind
The Offspring - The Offspring
Queens of the Stone Age - Queens of the Stone Age
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork
Rammstein - Mutter
Rammstein - Reise, Reise
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way
Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute
Rush - Counterparts
System Of A Down - Mezmerize
Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures
Tool - Lateralus

In the name of RAWK and letting folk round here get to know me slightly better, I command this thread to live once more!

My favourite albums change almost daily, so narrowing this down was a proper pain. The only way I could keep the list short and free from being dominated by a handful of bands was to limit myself to one album per performer. Also, no live albums or greatest hits 'cos reasons. =P

THE CURRENT TOP 5:
1. You Could Have It So Much Better (Franz Ferdinand)
2. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (The Beatles)
3. A Night At The Opera (Queen)
4. The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society (The Kinks)
5. The Liberty Of Norton Folgate (Madness)

LES HONORABLE MENTIONS:
 • Bad (Michael Jackson)
 • Band On The Run (Wings)
 • British Steel (Judas Priest)
 • A Certain Trigger (Max
