The Forced Listening Game

Get with the beats, the riffs, the harmony, or if you wanna go to hell, Phil Collins.

The video was more important than the music. Unfortunately, this is a forced LISTENING thread, not viewing. 3/10

A slice of my college rock days.

TODAY IS A DAY TO REVIVE THIS THREAD. BY CRITICIZING BLAND ROCK. You could literally insert any lyrics you wanted into this song and it would make no difference on how bland it is, and the only vaguely clever thing he does is manage to repeat Small apartment at the end of every phrase. and even that's not that original :V 3/10

Not really a music person, but I'll give this a shot.

Not listened to this sort of stuff, but it sounds funky as heck. Love the main melody. Maybe I'll look into them some more another time.

Might as well suggest something I know well enough.

What people often understate about the Beatles is that they weren't just fantastic instrument players and writers, they were also good singers, which many who cover the Beatles, like these guys, forget. 3/10

And if you're open-minded enough to not automatically rate all Christian rock an immediate 0, here's a Christian metal version of a power ballad from 1990, based on 1 Corinthians 13. Submitted for its musicianship, not proselytizing.
