NASCARC Season 3: Registration
NASCARC Season 3: Registration
for real this time.
Welcome to the third season of NASCARC! We've been working very hard behind the scenes to revamp Season 3 and make it the most exciting, action-packed season of NASCARC yet!
For starters, this version of NASCARC will use a new mod, the MENCS19 mod. While I originally wanted to use the ICR mod, my computer isn't powerful enough to open the templates, so in order to make everything easier on everyone I'm going back to this. This also means all the cars you all painted for the version I bailed on last year can be re-used.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/1ayj5zumo ... s.rar/file
Secondly, the schedule has been completely remade, shortening it and cutting most of the bland cookie-cutter tracks. The full, 20-race schedule is on the google doc linked below.
The schedule is fairly evenly split. Almost half of the schedule is speedways, with short tracks and road courses taking up the other half. There are only two superspeedway events this season, but in order to incentivize investment into those tracks, they're worth double points. I'm also splitting race lengths in half to speed things up.
Much like in previous seasons, you'll be painting cars for your team and allocating stats for their drivers. This season, every team will have 2 cars, no more and no less. These cars must have a number with either one or two digits (including 00-09) and some kind of sponsorship. If you're having trouble making your car look nice, ask myself, Adam or Noisy and we'll get something rolling for you.
We'll be running a team championship alongside the driver standings and ROTY standings, now that everything is equalized.
If you don't want to roll the dice on a new driver, you can sign a driver from last season with their same stats from a team that no longer wants to run them. While I'm unsure if anyone will want to do this, there are some top-shelf drivers from previous years that will definitely be out looking for rides due to the changes to team structure, and a high-profile driver could give your team the edge.
I'm also going to allow firing drivers mid-season if you think you can do better with a different stat-line. the only caveat to this is that the new driver will start with zero points, but may give you a better shot at the team championship.
For your drivers, you must fill out the following stat card:
Aggression:
Consistency:
Finishing:
Qualifying:
Road Course:
Short Track:
Speedway:
Superspeedway:
You have 680 points to spend. No stat can be higher than 100 and no stat can be lower than 50. The way NR2003 stats work means your stats will vary slightly per race, the number you put in is the high value and the low value will be 10 points lower than that.

Mason is fresh to this level of racing, but don't let your guard down. His track championship at Burnside and wins throughout the Southeast are evidence of mastery years beyond his age. Have I also mentioned he plays League of Legends 5 hours a day? No wonder his reflexes are so good... and his temper is so short
#85 - Kyle Wood - Dollar General Toyota Camry

Short Track: 100
Speedway: 100

While rules changes caused the reigning runner-up to leave Ignition Motorsports, his skills will be much appreciated at SKY. Thanks to additional road racing practice, including track days at NRM, his greatest weakness compared to champion Fujiwara won't be quite so drastic. Hopefully, the 'hangover' of runners-up in more traditional sports doesn't transfer to NASCAR.

Two veteran drivers from the heyday of Irish tarmac rallying, both of which have won the Irish Tarmac Championship on multiple occasions. Billy O’Donnell was the two time champion of the event, his flamboyant skills quickly becoming famous throughout the country, although he also garnered quite the reputation of pushing cars beyond their limits, often ruining his championship hopes by crashing out and rolling his cars. Patrick MacCanny had won the event four times, a far more consistent and cautious driver then his rival turned teammate, often winning by setting consistently decent stage times whilst his opposition after found themselves crashing out of the competition. He’s cool, calm and here to finish even the most long and gruelling courses, although sometimes his consistent averageness has let him down in the past. Circuit racing is nothing new to both drivers and both are a force to be reckoned with on any twisty tarmac track.

After problems with alcohol and substance abuse along with a disastrous campaign in the previous season that contributed to the folding of his former team, Mean Green Motorsports, Kirk Kidd is back. Under new management, sober, and refocused, he's looking to see if he can recapture the scintillating form of 2016-2017 that saw him dominate the circuit. NASCARC's all-time wins leader has already called in all of his favours and used up all of his get-out-of-jail-free cards. This is it for the living legend: it's put up or shut up time. If you ain't first, you're last!

With his sister Aislin having moved on from NASCARC to F1 with a growing side gig in modelling, it falls to her twin brother Jackson, older by half an hour, to take up the mantle for the Sheehan family. After having lived in his glamorous sister's shadow for so long, this 'affable ginger' is out to prove that he's got more than a name and that he's more substance than style. Signed to the newly-formed Tartarus Motorsports Group along with legend Kirk Kidd and picking up some tips along the way, Jackson's determined not to be the team's 'B' driver.

Bennett McCarthy #31 Toyota

Finishing: 100
Qualifying: 100
Road Course: 70
Short Track: 70
Speedway: 90
Superspeedway: 100
Bennett's got a bit more of an upper-crust intro to the sport than others, usually seen going door a Sunday drive back home in the UK, in an old-school Bentley or Mercedes, or perhaps having a cheeky blast along what remains of Brooklands. However, during a holiday in the States a few years back, his friends dared him to see how well he'd do behind the wheel of such a car, and, after a considerable financial investment, he found he wasn't half bad at it. After a few more trips over the Atlantic, he's become a racing regular in the lower leagues, before progressing up to NASCARC.
Chip Daley #05 Toyota
Aggression: 100
Consistency: 90
Finishing: 100
Qualifying: 50
Road Course: 100
Short Track: 100
Speedway: 70
Superspeedway: 70
Having made the inexplicable leap from motorcross to the oval circuit, Chip Daley is taking a more rugged approach to racing than his partner in crime. Back on bikes, Chip was known for having balls of HARDOX, pushing his rides to the absolute limit in search of a top time. Let's see how well that transfers to the tarmac...
