Welp. Being low on the rankings isn't so good, but at least I beat that goddamn Kock Kidd for once. :v:

NASCAR ARC Series

Good evening and welcome back to the NASCAR ARC Series! Tonight we're at historic Darlington Raceway, an exciting 184-lap sprint around this famous track! On the pole tonight is Scott McHale, with Evan Henderson taking the outside.
Image
The bottom lane quickly proves to be faster as McHale rockets into the lead, followed by Dave Davies and Chase Spader. Spader passes Davies early on and it becomes a two car race for the lead. Johnny Rosales passes Henderson on lap 14 to enter third, but he's still very far behind the leaders. Spader takes the lead on lap 24, and Will Harvey comes right behind them to make it three. Also working his way through the field is Snuffy McAirborne, who fell back early but is slowly getting back through the field.
Image
The first caution comes out on lap 45, when Timothy Victor gets into Adam Lawson, turning them both around. John Hayward is also involved.
Image
McAirborne has an incredible pit stop, moving from sixth to third. He makes another move soon after the restart, passing McHale for second. Robin Best works his way into the top 10 for the first time this race around lap 50. Rosales makes his way up from 5th up to 2nd by lap 93, passing McAirborne and setting his sights on the lead. Ranger Joe scrapes the wall hard and comes in for an unscheduled pit stop, repairing damage but going two laps down in the process. On lap 102, Rosales catches up to Spader and they begin racing for the lead. On lap 107, Aislin Sheehan spins out Kyle Wood and causes a big one involving Kirk Kidd, Todd Eaton, Clyde Guzuta and others, bringing out the second caution of the night.
Image
A cloud of lap traffic on the restart allows Dave Davies to take the lead as Spader chokes his way back into 9th. Rosales and Akira Queen are right behind Davies though, and soon after Rosales dives low and takes the lead. Harold Cunningham, who had previously been running within the top 15, makes an unscheduled pit stop for a loose wheel, putting them a lap down. Harvey passes Queen for second on lap 129, moving into position to pass Rosales. The big surprise so far however is Aiko Asakura, who's had a solid top 10 run going all night and runs third with 50 to go. He moves into 2nd on lap 139, then passes Rosales for the lead on lap 145.
Image
Green flag stops begin on lap 147, as Dave Davies comes down for 4 tires and fuel. Before the stops can cycle through however, Davies spins out Jaelon Sapp, also taking out his teammate Travis Scalabrine. This changes everything.
Image
The remaining cars that didn't pit, including Rosales, Karl Smith, Spader, Best and others, come in to pit and take the front of the pack during the caution. Smith wins the race off of pit road and leads the field to the green flag. Ron Waffle's car dies coming off of turn 2 and holds up a number of frontrunners, giving Smith and Rosales a bit of a gap to race for the win. Rosales is able to pass Smith for the lead soon after this.
Image
Smith gets caught up in traffic and drops back to 6th. McAirborne takes 2nd, followed by Best. The three race in a tight pack, and with 2 to go Best passes Snuffy and looks to get to Rosales. However, the lapped car of Scott Jackson gets in the way and he can't get there in time, meaning that Johnny Rosales picks up his second win here at Darlington! Congrats Alex!

Dammit Scott. :v:

Although that's still a pretty good result for all three of my guys. Best still in with a distant shout as the season winds down, a top-five finish seems like a good target.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

It's that time again folks! The NASCAR ARC Series is back and ready to race at Chicagoland, a 1.5-miler which is looking to be full of excitement! The front row was swept by Wild Weasel Motorsports, with Antonio Alberts taking the pole and his teammate Evan Henderson starting outside.
Image
Henderson shoots off the line at the start, and the field quickly spreads to three-wide behind him. Harold Cunningham, the 4th-place starter, moves into second with Snuffy McAirborne, Aislinn Sheehan and Chase Spader rounding out the top 5. Snuffy makes a move to the inside and gets past Cunningham, with Spader and Alberts behind him. Sheehan tries to make it three-wide but can't get past the 5. On lap 11, Karl Smith gets loose off the back bumper of Kyle Wood and gets bumped off the track. He merges right in front of Travis Scalabrine, causing them to collide and also taking out Ruri Thomson, John Hayward and Ron Waffle, eliminating all five cars from contention.
Image
Blinky Akabei moves up into the top 10 with a quick pit stop, while Cunningham struggles on pit road and drops all the way down to 14th. Alberts reports electrical issues coming into pit road and the crew spends several laps repairing it before returning to the track. McAirborne has a fantastic restart and gets past Henderson for the lead soon after the green flag waves. Another caution comes out soon after this involving the 77 of Akabei as well as Seth Martin, Kirk Kidd, Clyde Guzuta and Akira Queen, among others:
Image
Henderson, Alex Valentine, Johnny Rosales and George Plinkleton battle four-wide for position on the restart, and that ends with Plinkleton pounding the outside wall hard. No caution is thrown, but the 84 car is shot. Spader and Sheehan have a drawn-out battle for second, racing side-by-side for several laps. Sheehan eventually wins the position. Sheehan then goes to pass Snuffy and wins the spot, partially due to the slow car of Queen. Spader races behind her in 2nd, with Henderson in third, McAirborne in 4th and Aiko Asakura closing out the top 5. This top 5 runs single-file for a while until Akabei spins again on lap 48, triggering the third caution of the day.
Image
Valentine and Will Harvey Jr. only take two tires and come out of the pits second and third respectively. Ji-Sung Ki also has an impressive stop, jumping into the top 10, while Cunningham continues to struggle on pit road as he is handed a speeding penalty and drops to 33rd. Soon after the restart, Plinkleton spins in front of most of the field, causing a massive wreck involving many drivers including points leader Takumi Fujiwara:
Image
The 00 of Inky Aosuke spins to bring out caution #5. Harvey and Ki enter 2nd and third after the restart while Kirk Kidd begins doing what he does best and racing his way from the back of the pack up into the top 5. Harvey tries to pass Sheehan for the lead, but he fails. These two battle for the lead for a few more laps until Bjorn Kristjansson spins out Alex Valentine and causes another wreck.
Image
Harvey beats Sheehan off of pit road and takes the lead on the restart. Magga McDonald spins out soon after. The top 5 on the restart is Harvey, Sheehan, Ki, Scott McHale and Adam Lawson. Then there's another wreck.
Image
Harvey basically takes off after this wreck, dominating the final 50 laps to take the win at Chicagoland! Congrats Nick!

Goddammit. Kirk's luck is totally gone and Aislin's been there in almost every race recently but she can't seem to notch a win.

It's been a whole month since the last race, but computer troubles are over with now and the NASCAR ARC series is back! This time we'll be racing at Talladega, the fastest and most chaotic track on the circuit! Kirk Kidd and Takumi Fujiwara are neck and neck in the points race, and one mistake could make or break either of their seasons! This race is also the perfect chance for an underdog to race his way to victory and maybe even make a pass at the championship!

On the front row for today's race are Seth Martin and Jaelon Sapp. Kidd starts in 14th, while Fujiwara starts back in 28th, but who knows where they'll finish?
Image
Martin hooks up with Tanner Grant early, and they lead the first 10 or so laps. The rest of the field battles hard for position, knowing that one mistake could send them flying into the wall. The 99 car of Jaelon Sapp, who started 2nd, loses the draft early and falls out of the lead pack. Martin leads the rapidly-changing field of cars up until lap 18, when Scott Jackson and Antonio Alberts get together, causing the first "big one" of the race:
Image

A number of cars are involved, including championship contender Snuffy McAirborne and his teammate Ranger Joe. Chase Spader manages to pass Martin on that very same lap to take the lead, but he's passed on pit road by his teammate Tanner Grant. Grant leads the field to the restart, and the first lap after, but then it's taken over by John Hayward. He leads for basically a quarter of a lap before he's passed by Bjorn Kristjansson, who's passed by Pinky Machibuse. After another lap or two of this, Scott McHale takes over thanks to a big push by Ron Waffle.
Image
McHale holds the lead until the second caution on lap 28, involving Seth Martin, Dave Davies, Chase Spader and Timothy Victor, among others.
Image
McHale is T-boned on pit road by the 69 of Mike Hunt, causing Alex Valentine to take the lead following pit stops.
Image
Valentine leads for one lap before being passed by George Plinkleton, who then gives up the lead to Evan Henderson. Henderson holds the lead for several laps before he's passed by Hayward, who's then passed by Travis Scalabrine. Chase Spader pulls off the track due to engine issues and retires. Henderson quickly re-takes the lead from Scalabrine to dominate the field for a little while longer until green flag stops begin on lap 56. Once pit stops cycle through, the new leader is the 62 of Ji-Sung Ki. He's followed by Henderson, Ruri Thomson, Plinkleton and Waffle. Thomson overtakes Henderson to lead the race on lap 63, with 31 to go.
Image
The lead shuffles a lot through the next phase of the race, up until the final round of pit stops on lap 81. Ki encounters some problems on pit road as he and Sean Bennett get tangled up:
Image
After pit stops the field is split up into several small packs, the lead of which consists of four cars: Queen, Grant, Waffle and Fujiwara:
Image
These four battle it out throughout the final 5 laps, and bobbing and weaving through lap traffic takes its toll on Queen, who gives up the lead on the final turn! He's passed by the 36 of Tanner Grant, who takes home his first win of the season!!

Post by Badnik96 » Fri Jun 09, 2017 8:51 pm

Hello everybody and welcome back once again to the NASCAR ARC Series! There's only two races left in the season, and the heated battle between Takumi Fujiwara and Kirk Kidd heads down south this week as we visit Phoenix, Arizona to race at their 1-mile racetrack! On the front row are Karl Smith and Ji-Sung Ki, both hungry for a win before the season lets out. Fujiwara starts in 8th, a solid spot to start in, while Kidd struggles in qualifying as usual and starts 38th. Will Kidd be able to perform his trademark one more time and race his way through the field?
Image
Smith jumps off the start line like a rocket, and Clyde Guzuta follows him into turn 1 as Ki fumbles. As the field begins to settle, Antonio Alberts finds himself in third. Soon after, Alberts climbs to second with Snuffy McAirborne, Chase Spader and Guzuta rounding out the tip 5. Back in 11th, there's a massive battle between Hoyte Burnett, Mike Hunt and Aiko Asakura, among others.
Image
Alberts catches Smith but can't pass for the lead, so he settles for battling for second with McAirborne. Fujiwara enters the top 5, passing Guzuta, while Kidd languishes in traffic back in 35th. On lap 17, Snuffy takes the lead from Smith.
Image
Kirk Kidd drives like a madman through the field, forcing his way through slower packs of cars. By lap 60, he's up to 20th. Fujiwara still sits in 5th.
Image
Ki's car never really got going, as by lap 60 he is dead last and still fading from the field. Rough day for them. The field comes in to pit around lap 80, and it results in McAirborne gaining a 3-second lead on everyone else. However, Alberts is slowly catching him as the race goes by. Kidd loses all momentum and fades from the race, struggling to pass cars in 18th place. This carries on until around lap 125 when Alberts passes McAirborne for the lead and doesn't look back.
Image
No one can catch him now, and Alberts dominates the final 30 laps to win at Phoenix!

And with that race, i'd like to announce that the champion of the inaugural NASCAR ARC Series is:
Takumi Fujiwara!

congrats to Zach!

There's still 2 more races on the schedule: The season finale at Homestead and the All-Star Race at Eldora, but at this point in the season the championship is locked up.
