As you know today marks two important occasions. On one hand we have the 8th anniversary of Drowning City, and on the other we have the remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Although we are not as strong as we have been I encourage everyone to help expand Drowning City by telling your friends, recruiting others, and submitting your original web content. Let's all do our part to make Drowning City's 9th year a great one!
On this day let's also take time to remember the innocent civilians and heroic emergency workers who lost their lives on September 11th and all of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines that have paid that price since then.
Happy Anniversary

I have a feeling DC could definitely back on track. There's enough people who still enjoy doing ARC/FF, it just requires hard work and constant activity (which is nearly impossible for the staff to do). Hopefully, the inactivity won't be the case too much longer. We shall see.
Glad we made it this long!

Drowning City started the same day as the Sept. 11 attacks? Wow...

One year later actually but yes.

Wow... But that obviously doesn't have any significance about the site, right?

You'd have to ask Chris to be certain but I think it was actually a coincidence. Just happened to be the day the site was ready to launch.

We were planning to get the new site up around that time, but since Sept 11 was coming up and it was not only the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, but of Komodo's original ARC board, it seemed very appropriate to open it that day.

Happy Anniversary
Makes me think we should have pushed back the opening of this forum a few days so it would haved matched up with the old anniversary as well.
