Idc. I'm impatient :v

1. Experiment 626 - I see you Compound Fracture! :V go back to Mars, you've tortured us enough

2. Anti-Virus - Another brick that's tortured this meta way too many times. Wish the plow was invertible, but you have to flip it first lol.

3. Tidal Wave - Let's be honest with ourselves here. This bot is gonna win at some point, one way or another. Badass drumbot design that doesn't need the black dog virus to win fights

4. Sundancer - Nice Mega Melvin touch. Mecanums paired with a plow and hammer is gonna be a pain in the ass for even well armored bricks.

5. Nick's Fuzzy Rules - Lmao. Not sure what the polishing wheel is gonna do, but it has a pressing lifter/clamp combined with good armor.

6. The Thieving Magpie - Classic 2WD flipper. Can't go wrong with that.

7. Ayame - See above

8. Flash Flood - Never liked top flippers. Good armor though. Spinners are pretty much doomed.

9. Mushroom Cloud - I like this thing. Basically a poor man's Wheely Big Cheese. Not a fan of the shortish wheelbase on such a long body however.

10. Double Rainbow - The good: it's got great range, and it impossible to reach the body without getting hit. The bad: this division is chock full of bricks that can probably handle it's power

11. Pinstripe - Alcoholic Stepfather meets K2. Thin looking spinner, but mecanums will help it get the edge when angling into wedges

12. Yellow Buzzard - Like Mushroom Cloud, don't like the small wheelbase. Could make noise with the wedginess of the flipper.

13. The Most Despicable And Disastrous Twins - This could work. This could not work. But 14 armor wedge paired with an unpredictable 13 weapon melty sounds interesting.

14. Doctor Robotnik - *Flying Battery Zone intensifies* I don't trust spinners much in this group. That said, if any spinner is going to take out the big time bricks, it's this beloved classic

15. Electric Aggression - Love the control spinner design, but it's a bit too low in speed and traction for me. Clamps should further help with control tho.

16. Ververg - Double sided wedges aren't as viable as they used to be. I don't like this at all. :qq:

17. Eat Me Too - Lmao. Idk. Still don't trust it.

18. Cream - Did someone say arena breach? Lmao. Strong, but this thing can't handle it's own power imo.

19. Exotherm - No cad, but we know what it's capable of. I'm still a bit worried that bricks are going to snuff it out

20. Servant's Assistant - This is a decent design, but 2 weapon axes aren't as good of clamps as they used to be. This design just isn't calling to me like it would a couple years ago, idk.

21. Ramshock - It's a good lifter by cardboard standards, but Square Wave Syndrome still plagues the design. Which is a shame, cause it could actually be very good.

22. Sir Morphsalot - Stats check out. Just doesn't like flippers, and it's feeder wedges are a bit on the long side. Prove me wrong, sir.

23. Bluebot - Why is it red when it's called bluebot. I am confuse :v. Invertibility is questionable sadly, and the weapon power is way too low

24. Blitz Mk. III - Give it all 30 points and then we'll talk :v:

Lightweight Rankings
Spinners vs. Bricks, Non-SHW Edition

The Favourites

Eat Me Too - Brad's playing like this thing is just wacky and unassuming, but it's gonna be deadly AF.

Hoarfrost - See below, but with a better wedge and one point less torque.

Anti-Virus - This is a fast, plow stacking brick with one of ARC's best behind the wheel and no hammers in the weight class to exploit its plow stacking.

La Valette - This thing has the power to instakill most opponents and enough reach that spinners capable of killing it won't be able to get around its weapon.

Tidal Wave II - Just a damned good drum spinner that's unlucky to not already be a champion. Could be the La Valette killer we need.

Experiment 626 - A good brick that'll actually tank Cream, Tidal Wave, and La Valette, while losing handily to the two bricks ranked above it.

The Contenders

Flash Flood - Hey, another bricky wedge. Quick, with enough armour to survive the big spinners, but will lose to the wedges above it more often than not.

The Thieving Magpie - This is just a good, textbook 2WD flipper. Should be a tough out.

Dr. Robotnik - Nice undercutting power spinner, but it's a bit light on armour and may lose out in weapon-to-weapon clashes to Cream and La Valette.

Mushroom Cloud - solid 2WD control flipper that'll have a chance against most other bots.

Ayame - see above, just a bit quicker and more susceptible to getting mulched by spinners.

Nick's Fuzzy Rules - good driver, good stats, weird but probably effective.

The Field

Pinstripe - doesn't quite have the control to take down the best of the best, and that armour bonus on the plow is pointless, but the strafing could help a lot.

Electric Aggression - Decent bricky thing that wastes a point on a drum that could be better spent elsewhere.

Exotherm - nice vert, even with the sneaky armour bonus, but that control disparity's gonna come back to bit it in the ass.

Cream - If people buy the chain flails and the trackball wheels, this thing will do very well. If they don't... I've ranked it here for a reason. Consider this a darkhorse.

Ververg - All around decent. Not the best wedge, not the best drivetrain, not the best armour, but solid in all.

Ramshock - well statted, but it won't be able to lift anything without tipping on its face.

Sir Morphsalot - should probably be ranked higher, because it's a solid bot, but its front looks really vulnerable against other spinners and it does nothing to stand out.

The Longshots

Witness Me - Good bot. Terribly statted. It'll get to live up to its name, because spinners will eat it alive. All spinners.

Yellow Buzzard - Kind of gets caught in between in terms of stats.

The Most Despicable and Disastrous Twins - I really want this thing to do well, and it'll nab a couple of wins, but the stats just aren't lining up in its favour.

Nervous Wedge Boy - Would be a decent 2WD wedge if it had thirty points.

Bluebot - Not nearly enough armour or weapon power and the wheelbase is too long. Could do well in theory, but in practice? Probably not. May kill La Valette, actually.

Blitz Mk. III - Doesn't have the speed to bring its weapon into play against bricks and lacks the armour to withstand spinners. First tournaments can be...hard.

Middleweight Rankings
The official "fuck traction" division, paired with a side of suck.

The Favourites

Magnolia Pico - fucking turrets and multi configurations and unkillable hammers and adjustable walkers and lazers and h-bombs and anatomically correct skulls and bouquets of fresh roses and finely detailed inlays made from aged mahogany or 10,000 year old thawed out mammoth ivory. Typical Monsterworks bot.

Harpy - mediocre wedge, but then most of the wedges in this division suck, and it has one helluva drivetrain.

Sundancer - Mega Melvin and Deadblow shagged. The kid had a flipper config too. Maybe Deadblow wasn't the dad?

Harbinger - Hey, let's have a bot with lots of speed and a hinged plow on 2WD. Still good by the standards of this division.

Plata O Plomo - lots of flipper. Lots. Not much else.

WhipCoil - a Black Dog killer without a Black Dog to kill. Still, these ___Coil bots are always good.

The Contenders

Diablo Genesis - Good 2WD brick lifter/clamp. Easily hurdles the incredibly low threshold for contention in this division

Clown Recluse - decent spinner that can outwedge basically anything here, and the adjustable feature should give it some flexibility.

Kid A - Oh hey, Riley made something that's almost kind of optimized and has some decent configurations.

Glitch - Loses h2h against most other weapons, but the crusher really packs a punch, and the adjustable feature gives it some nice flexibility and plow-bypassing.

Instigator - Good tracked lifting brick. Totally not boring.

Remi IV - Drum spinner with 'meh'-level wedging abilities. The tracks bonus is a thing, you know.

The Field

Lulver - I never knew that paper was a viable material for undercutting blades. I stand corrected. 13 power might even scratch the paint on some wedges here.

Stingray - "fuck traction: part one, fam. Who needs armour?"

The Magpie Effect - audacious stats and I like them. The design isn't quite there, though.

Mole Butcher - Cool idea. The stats could use a bit of tweaking, but it could actually do decently.

Patchouli - "fuck traction: part 2, fam. I'm all in on configurations."

Killing Intent - "Hey, I know what's a good idea: let's waste tons of unnecessary points on armour!" Still a decent brick and will still win a few fights.

Biological Warfare - Good design, but tweener stats that will see it struggle against most other bots.

The Longshots

Lupi - Good in theory, but with only 9 weapon armour, it's toast against other spinners, and with 7 body armour and two strong hammers...

Metal 2 - See above, but with no invertibility.

G.B.J. - "fuck traction: part 3...while we're at it, why don't we waste six points on a really weak saw?"

Raus Mk. IV - "What would happen if we put the spinner reeeeaaaallly high up?"

Heaven Jaws 3 - "fuck traction: part 4...while we're at it, fuck armour too."

The Maw - has 32 points for some reason and is illegal. Otherwise, great.

R4 Anti-Rankings

I'm too lazy to decide how each robot stacks up against each other robot in its weight class, but not too lazy to just give my thoughts on each of them.

LW

Anti-Virus: Great drivetrain, strong armor. Should kill spinners and slower wedges with ease, but may have a hard time against hammers.
Dr. Robotnik: Your basic undercutter. The spiky but fixed wedges don't seem that useful.
Ramshock: Pat embed your images please! The wide lifter is way out front of the wheelbase which will make it difficult to come at opponents straight on. Should have a hard time against spinners with 8 armor, but should have some good matchups.
The Thieving Magpie: A basic control flipper. Few weaknesses that I can see, so it should do well.
Eat Me Too: A great idea that has a lot of potential, depending on how writers handle the wheel scrub. The wheels are pointing the wrong direction to rotate it around what I imagine its center of gravity to be, but... fantasy! :V
Witness Me: Another control flipper. Exposed wheels could be an issue against spinners, but the 8/8 drivetrain probably compensates for that.
Nick's Fuzzy Rules: Free weapon! I like the fork layout, and the lifter arm will be hard to use but might come in useful. Should be good at controlling other wedges, even if they're a little faster.
Mushroom Cloud: Yet another control flipper. The wide, flat profile will really help it against spinners, but will hurt it if other wedges get under it from the side.
Cream: Uhh... why trackballs though? Really slow when spinning, uncontrollable when not spinning, and any impact will send it careening into the walls. Should be fun!
White Lightning: This robot should be the flank master, assuming it's controllable enough at 12 speed. Thwacking will be good too. Has done well IIRC and will do well.
Electric Aggression: Has a lot of tools, without even needing multiple configs. Maybe too many: will a 3-power drum really do anything the jaws couldn't? May be a little slow for a brick, but not significantly so.
Tidal Wave II: People seem to like this one, but it looks like a basic drum spinner to me. Still, it has a good amount of contact area for the drum and good speed. Might struggle against more heavily armored horizontal spinners.
Pinstripe: I don't know how far the mecanums are going to get me with this one, and the plow is a bit of a shot in the dark. But if it doesn't just get out-wedged it should do alright. It's going to get out-wedged, isn't it.
Hoarfrost III: It's a wedge. An unnecessarily complex design with large and fragile-looking wheels. But with the standard wedge drivetrain and armor, that shouldn't hold it back.
Ayame: Hey look, another control flipper. With its shape, speed, and armor it should counter HS robots and give bricks a really hard time. Is this what Undertow should have been like all along?
Experiment 626: Dang there's a lot of bricks here. Its length might be a weakness against the control flipper crew and other lifters, but it's not slow either. Should be a good test of the effectiveness of wedgelets.
Flash Flood: What's that you say? Another control flipper? At least this one's 4WD and front-hinged. Strong against HS and the forks will be helpful against other bricks. The stranding spikes are a neat idea, but it probably won't be able to get far enough underneath its opponents to use them.
La Valette: This is what happens when you just forget about realism and go full midcutter HS. 17 power weapon is scary, but will it be able to protect its wheels with 3 speed? There's a lot of armored plows out there. But its good matchups will be great.
Yellow Buzzard: Wait, wait, don't tell me... a control flipper? This one's got a little more flipping power at the expense of some traction. It probably won't turn out to be a good tradeoff in a field of similar bricks, but that's it's only real weakness.
Sir Morphsalot: Looks cool and is statted well, but those long forks will be a liability (I would know.) The spinner also looks pretty far back. It may struggle against such a speedy, bricky field.
Exotherm: Super stylish and speedy, but has low traction and armor. It will have a very hard time against HS despite its shielding and may struggle against bricks as well, if they're well driven.
Blitz Mk. III: A flipper with power! Whoa! But it will get out-driven by the faster bricks and is playing a very dangerous game against spinners by giving all its armor to the flipper.
Bluebot, the red bot: Having its wheels so far back on a long body will hurt it in maneuverability and it has little for anti-HS measures, but if it does wedge things the weapon should be pretty effective.
The Most Despicable and Disastrous Twins: They'll be strong against the really slow, weakly armored robots in the field... maybe. And there aren't many of those. Having such long flails is just an added disadvantage.
Nervous Wedge Boy: It's cute, it's a 2WD wedge, and it's got the armor to stop the spinners. But a lack of invertability will hurt it against the control flipper crew.
HIRricaine: Mecanum... tracks. Uhh... sure why not! It's a neat idea, but it will struggle against the bricks with only 15 weapon. With omni-drive it might do well against some of the VS robots.
The Servant's Assistant 4: The only hammer in its weight class, but it hardly counts as such with only 2 power. Relatively low armor, but a solid drivetrain and flexibility with its weaponry give it a lot of opportunities.

MW / HW / SHW to come, maybe.

Let's start things off with the lightweights.

1)Tidal Wave II
I think this is its year. Not a lot of bots in the field that can fight this very easily, if at all.
2)Ayame
2WD wedge with flipper. Alex is a damned good driver and I'll be surprised if he doesn't make it to the playoffs with this.
3)The Thieving Magpie
More or less the same bot as Ayame. Danielle has less RP experience though, so she gets the lower spot.
4)Anti-Virus
Again, great design by Kody, but those forks seem a little easy to angle in on.
5)Flash Flood
I think I have a pretty good shot with this bot. We'll see how things go.
6)Hoarfrost II
Generic as hell, but with some cool touches. I just think the lack of an active weapon will hurt it in wedge-v-wedge matchups.
7)Dr. Robotnik
Probably the best spinner in the field. It's done it before, I'm sure it can do it again.
8)Experiment 626
I feel like it's a little too easy to angle in on. Other than that, solid design here.
9) Nick's Fuzzy Rules
Surprisingly solid 2wd wedge/lifter. The POLISHING WHEEL OF DOOM will be a fun weapon to watch in action, as well. Curious as to how well it will take on other flippers, though.
10)Exotherm
Fast, powerful and some clever stattage makes this a big threat, I'm just worried about the speed/traction gap.
11)Nervous Wedge Boy
4 torque and a 2wd wedge will have most of the other wedges quaking in their boots. It also has a nice anti-spinner shape. I'm just worried about those wheels, and Jamie's lack of RP experience.
12)HIRicane
About as nasty as a ring-spinner as you can make in this meta. Add mecanum tracks to that and this has a lot of potential, we'll see how much of that makes it to the arena.
13)Witness Me!
An Alex-bot driven by a promising up and comer. Uncertain about Riley's choice in stat line but it'll certainly show some promise.
14)Mushroom Cloud
I like it, but I think it's a little too wide for its own good. Certainly will be wedge fodder, but I think it has a great matchup versus spinners.
15)White Lightning
Going to be a bitch to control. I don't remember exactly how well this thing has done in the past, so we'll see how it does here.
16)Pinstripe
I like it, it's a clever bot, but mecanums are still more or less un-proven in this meta. Probably would have better if statted as a control spinner. Will probably still have middling success anyway.
17)La Valette
sure as hell isn't getting the weapon armor bonus, and as such won't be having a very nice time against many bots. It'll still shred a lot of the bots below it, just because it has 17 fucking weapon, but don't expect it to secure a playoff berth.
18)Yellow Buzzard
There's a lot of good bots in this class, and this is one of them, certainly. Its stats are a bit un-optimized (4 weapon strikes me as odd) but with some good driving it could do better than this.
19)Sir Morphsalot
It's a well-statted vert, srimech notwithstanding. With some decent driving it could be a dark horse. Those forks worry me though...
20)The Servant's Assistant
Pains me to put it this low, but 9 armor just won't cut it in this class. Especially since it gets no weapon-armor bonuses.
21)Ramshock
Lifter won't be lifting much due to the lack of stabilizers but other than that it's a decent enough brick. Only this low due to Pat's track record of poor RP skill.
22)Eat Me Too
If this thing can drive in a straight line, it'll be a threat. Otherwise. expect a lot of skidmarks on the arena floor, but not much else.
23)Cream
Eh, I'm just not really feeling it, honestly. Prove me wrong.
24)Electric Aggression
I feel bad for putting this this low, but, like a lot of TBR's past designs, it's just trying to do too much at once. That's not to say it isn't a cool bot, it's just spreading its stats too thin to be much of a threat.
25)The Most Despicable and Disastrous Twins
Sorry, but 12 weapon, especially on a nuts clone, isn't going to cut it in this bricky field. The wedge has no speed, so it might deal with a spinner or two but it's worthless against other wedges. Might win a fight or two but i'm not seeing it.
26)Bluebot
Might pick up a couple of shock wins on bricks, but it's going to explode if it touches a spinner.
27)Blitz Mk. III
Power flipper with way too much power. The fact that its chassis armor is non-existent due to the bizarre +3 armor bonus to the flipper (which already gets the weapon armor bonus) means that while that one part of the bot is nigh-invincible, the rest of the bot is made of glass. Don't expect this one to win much.

^ I agree. It's been given the armor bonus in the past. I don't see why that would change. Also idk. White Lightning's 4-3, basically flanked anything that didn't have more than 7 speed
