Team Fox would like to announce that we are hosting our first event in our home town of Birmingham England! Its a Hobbyweight tournament as the name would suggest so bring whatever little scratchy thing you have good or bad we don't care just kill each other with 'em! we will also have some of our heavier robots on display outside of the arena :). Please do bear in mind that I'm pretty new here let alone the tourney hosting so try not to be overly harsh at mistakes if possible (do tell me if I left anything out).

Signup Info
-16 entries
-Single elimination
-30 points split into the 5 category's Speed, Traction, Torque, Armour and Weapon
-No projectiles, explosives, entanglement devices, radio jammers, Flame-throwers and liquid weapons
-No flying bots, drone minibots and Hovercrafts
-Walkers and Shufflers get no point bonuses (sorry my scuttling friends)
-Multibots must split the 30 points between them (yeah yeah a bit unfair I know but they'd be tiny)
-No specific rules on saws I'll be deciding how much damage it can do depending on weapon stats
-Try and make something original and small rather than a changed weightclass bot or something that clearly would be impossible for a Hobbyweight it would mean a lot to me :).

Deadline:JULY 15th

Writers: Me and our special guest judge Jamie will write up some fights

fuckin' everyone entered a vert and this arena is so massive that running a horizontal spinner won't turn you into a giant pinball for once, so here.

2WD, can usually self-right (see: Bit-o-sweet for proof, it's in my showcase but I CBA to go get the link)

Speed: 7

Okay
I'm confirming my entrance, so you might as well delete the conversation on here XD
Here is my hobbyweight bot in the making
It's still not quite finished, including specs. But here you go with my entry! ^^
Image
I'll edit the post soon once I'm finished

(NOTE: It's not a wedge bot, though it's appearance may make you think otherwise. It's a 2WD flipper-bot capable of using the flipper both sides up. If you need a sort of example of what I was going for look up 'Wheely Big Cheese' from the original Robot Wars

Belial

Speed: 6
Traction: 4
Torque: 3
Weapon: 6 (1 for primary lifting arms, 1 for secondary lifting arms, 4 for the grinding discs)
Armor: 11

I was inspired by Mouser-Mecha Catbot for this one. It's a monsterworks-style walker, similar to Abaddon. But, there's a catch for this bot! With it's rounded shape and high armor, it's basically a impenetrable fortress, and not to mention it's all-around polyurethane red skirting that's hinged 15 degrees downward. But wait, there's more!

Belial has two lifting arms, the one with the white lifting forks is the primary one, and the one with the red forks is the secondary one. Eatch lifting arm can go independently. For example, the primary forks can be use to tip opponents over, and the secondary forks can raise up and clamp down, to saw down on it's opponents. But for the most part, the secondary arms raise up first, and then the primary arms, and then the secondary arms clamp down.

Yeah, Belial really puts the "Foxtrot Uniform" in Team Foxtrot Uniform. :v:

So... as stylish as Smooth Criminal was with its shades and Michael Jackson vibe, I'm pretty sure it's also terrible. It's just... not a well-designed wedgebot. I'm putting it back on the shelf and replacing it with...

The Juicemaster

https://www.tinkercad.com/things/eOT5sA ... uicemaster

Apparently there's a real life Juice Master named Jason Vale who would like to sell you on his magical juice only diet which will make you healthier than anyone has ever been before. This has pretty much nothing to do with that except for that it kind of looks like an orange, and orange juice is a thing that people drink.

Image

It's a "melty-brain" spinner with flails on springs and a pair of wedges flopping around on steel rings on the front and back. The springs retract when the robot isn't spinning, reducing their length by about two thirds. As it spins up, the centrifugal force stretches them out until they're whirling around, ready to cause Hellachopper-style devastation.

Stats:
Speed: 13
Traction: 3
Torque: 1
Weapon: 5
Armor: 8

Bot-O-Rama Hobbyweight runner-up, IIRC only loss was to Buzzkill in the final. Unchanged aside from a very minor stat adjustment, this 2WD rammer is thirsty for another shot at the crown.

Ever wondered how to top up on potassium in a pinch?

Ever wondered how to cut an onion without crying?

Ever wondered how to prevent wrinkles?

How about treating mosquito and insect bites?

How about treating damaged hair?

Whitening teeth?

Getting rid of splinters?

Ever wondered how to reliably be able to tell how large something is?

Well, my friend, it looks like you could use a...

Banana For Scale

Image

Imported straight from someplace in Central America where people are undoubtedly being exploited for their labour this very minute, this miracle cure for pretty much everything is here to solve your spinner (and like, just about every other kind of bot because - let's be real, 360 lifters are virtually unbeatable) woes. This is 100% genuine guaranteed banana from a particularly hardy strain. What it may lack in taste - some have contended that it's a bit metallic - it more than makes up for in being a sturdy 12 pound ramming and smashing machine.

Image

Yes, this bunch of three tropical fruits is fully invertible, and can self-right as well, just because bananas are awesome that way. It has two pairs of wheels occupying two different planes, for a total of eight wheels, though only four at a time are powered via chain drive. Let's not overanalyze it, okay? This is a bunch of bananas, and the wheel thing was done for looks, not by the evil, exploitative, meta-hating Monsterworks to sneakily gain some competitive advantage. Whoa, that got kinda serious there for a second. Have another banana!

Image

Stats? Boy does this beautiful bunch of ripe banana have some of those. They look like this:

Speed: 8 / Traction: 8 / Torque: 4 / Weapon: 1 / Armour: 9 (+2 plow)

This is a miniature version of TRG's very successful middleweight Black Dog is a fast 2WD drum, which I feel describes basically half of my team nowadays. The next best thing after a brick in ARC is a spinner that can pretend to be one! Removable shit is removable, it's weakly invertible, though the drum can toss it back over really easily. The belt runs right through the middle of the drum. I'm not sure about stats, so I'm currently considering:

6 speed / 4 traction / 1 torque / 14 weapon / 5 armour (+1 drum)
