Robot Bastards 2: The New Era - Discussion

Just a reminder that the deadline for the increasingly inaccurately named "Week 4" is extended to Monday, April 17th, ie TOMORROW

at 11:59 pm GMT-5

due to Easter Sunday, and the fact that several people probably didn't realize we were starting again

yo backstab doesn't have a lifter, though I don't think it would have ultimately changed much seeing as how I got under anyway :V

pretty good week overall, though I think HWR just got kicked out of contention

Pretty good week, I was quite surprised at the JBMH/Entity decision, though. Thought it would have been a bit closer than that.

So that was pretty decent! Rainbow in the Dark convincingly turned Hell's Grasp into Heaven's Gentle Caress ( :v: ) with the disc, and the flanking and staying-close strategy against Wingspan did actually work surprisingly well up until the point where Lethargy stopped. Bit annoyed about that fight going wrong so quickly after starting out well, but it does at least show me that anti-spinner multibots can work.

Wingspan pulled a upset against from what i thought a 100% winner, shame about Precise Saunter I was a bit too agressive, and I completely forgot about Methane! :(

So confused by the Backstab fight :v: and I wondered whether or not under cutters could reach the body of Outrage. Now we know. And Coup de Gr

Some good fights this week! Just for the record though, this is what the bottom of Undertow III looks like (this picture is in the gallery I posted in my entry):
Image

It does have four wheels, but because they're all in a line it should effectively act as a 2WD wedge. Just bringing that up because it seemed to play a big part in the writeup of that match.

As for the suction stuff, I was talking about Kraze's suction fan, not anything on Undertow.

In any case, I think this is my best week so far! Woo! And well fought / well written!

So...uh, those last few fights from round four. Maybe we can redistribute them between us? I really don't want this to die.

Fucking Hell!

So sorry, I did not intend for my situation to go on this long.

Back home, and ready and to go now. I was in kinda limbo for a few weeks and not expecting that kinda thing.

Real life sucks

But back to carnage now XD

rankings are updated

robots with 4 points have clinched
all robots with 2-3 points are in contention (which is a lot of you, still)
there are some robots with 1 point that skipped a week that are also technically in contention

Bots that have earned a playoff spot:

ACCount - Drunken Master
The Monsterworks - Firebrand
Badnik96 - Redline
Madman - Hellhound IV
Cha0sFerret - Deception
