Aggrobot Award: Vesta vs. Mordor. Good Grief.
The Golden Horseshoe: Sekhmet. I have no idea how I kept winning against fast bricks.
The Antimatter Horseshoe: I'll go with Terminal Velocity Classic. I honestly expected a playoff run from that one.
The Tombstone: Most of the Deathspinners didn't have great records, so I'm going to go with Howler II: it swept its group, knocking out ALL FIVE of its opponents.
The Abbatoir: I'm going to nominate my own robot again: Firebird. I was really excited about the friction drill, but it just didn't have the speed to actually put it to use.
The Setrakian Cup: Okay, Euphoberia is going to win this one, and it deserves to for (a) starting the Snek fad, and (b) having the elegant beauty I associate with Setrakian's bots. But (and I'm very sorry about nominating my own bot again), I think Funerary Precession at least deserves to be mentioned, because its drive system has literally NEVER been done.
The Tornado Award: Everyone's saying Ramp Camp, and it was cheap, but IMO the spirit of this award calls for a cheap design strategy, since Tornado was infamous not for its driving, but for its anti-crusher cage attachment which made it too big for the pit. So I'd like to nominate...
Melty Hybrids with Asymmetric Bars! Turbolulz and Mordor both exploited not one, but TWO rules loopholes. First, the "technically the bar is shorter than the long axis of the robot" loophole let them put a +4 weapon armor bonus on a spinner that sweeps a 30 degree angle, and second, the melty hybrid rules made it possible to transition between an extremely fast and controlled drivetrain and a 16-17 power spinner almost instantaneously. Combining those had hilarious results.
Beginner's Luck: Uhh... I guess I'll nominate Shaba like everyone else is doing since she wasn't in a major ARC tournament IIRC. But if you count Reddit tournaments, really pretty much everyone's a veteran.

OK, thanks. Well in which case, I'll vote for Howler 2 and Heretic respectively to break the ties as needed.

Sorry. Some writers didn't come through. I'm trying to write the results myself, but I also have to write for Monkeywrench and I was in one of the fights in question. I'll do what I can to get them posted soon.
