I guess this thread has fallen off track a bit, let's have a go at it for this week.

LW:

No Exit vs Scarab

This is a tough one really. No Exit has been having some tough luck against spinners so far, but Scarab hasn't been lighting the world on fire either. I think Nick will finally be able to right the ship a bit here.

No Exit-65%

Son of a Box vs Speed Buster

Yeah even if Son of a Box would show up there's literally no chance for him.

Speed Buster-100% (Yeah I usually don't give that out, but whatever :v: )

Le-Mans vs Zadkiel

Le-Mans isn't exactly the best anti-spinner design so I'm not holding out much hope for him against the brutish Zads.

Zadkiel-90%

Dr P vs Microwave

Let's see how well that plow can hold up. And unfortunately for Dr. P he can't really do much damage with the hammer in return. Maybe if he could get him to the drum to flip him over...

Microwave-70%

Something Dutch-ish vs Conqueror

Nope, I'm not holding out much hope for the retro-Sarge LW. Alex should have this one.

Conqueror-75%

Mr Not Very Nice vs O'Malley

O'Malley is going to have to lay on the damage quick to have a chance because Mr. NVN can MOVE. It's a bit tough since NVN has soft-ish armor, but I think he still have this one.

Mr. Not Very Nice-70%

MW:

Square Wave vs Toothache

Nope, not today Toothache.

Square Wave-80%

Marauder vs Hermes

It'll probably be a rather dull battle between the lifters. Ehh... Magic 8 Ball says... Ask again later...

Marauder-55%

Janus vs Pterodactyl

A tricky match-up, but I'm favoring the dinosaur this week.

Pterodactyl-65%

Millenaire de Souffrance vs Jetset

Wow...

MdS-lmao

I Can't Believe It's Not Barrier vs Luna

Well this is the kind of fight Barrier was pretty good at winning, but you can't overlook Luna working that corner armor...

Barrier-55%

Good For It 2 vs No Patrol 3

Quite frankly the most likely outcome seems like a double KO or something.

Good For It 2-60%

HW:

Station to Station vs Terrordactyl II

Poor T-D got murderlized by a flipper last week and has to go up against two bots that can tilt him over this week. Not looking good.

Station to Station-80%

Awkwardbot vs The Arbiter

Hilariously this fight could very well be even MORE one-sided than his win over Terror-Dactyl.

The Arbiter-95%

Give Way vs Tellu

This is kind of a tough one to work out. I guess I see Tellu controlling the fight a bit more to eek out a JD win.

Tellu-55%

Klarinette vs El Chupacabra

Hell, Lian can leave the antennae on for all I care, because I think Klarniette should take this one.

Klarinette-65%

Waterloo Sunset vs Shrek

More boring shit.

Waterloo Sunset-55%

Snijmachine vs Evil FireBlaze

Not-DUTCHout should claim another victim.

Snijmachine-90%

SHW:

Peppernut vs Flip THIS

Well I think Peppernut will Wedge THIS at least.

Peppernut-95%

Barracuda vs Pathos 2

I'll bank on Barracuda getting the better of the wedge battle here and that should be enough.

Barracuda-70%

Teresa vs Chemical Reaction II

I don't think Chemical Reaction has the weapon strength to avoid just being Teresa's personal cue-ball.

Teresa-85%

Stabstract vs Parabolic Trajectory

I'll take the wedge-bot with the active weapon.

Parabolic Trajectory-65%

The Watcher vs Lethal Injection

The Watcher can watch himself get pwned.

Lethal Injection-80%

Jack Frost vs Viluy

There's nothing chill about how bad Frost can tear into Viluy. Doesn't look good for Nick.

Jack Frost-90%

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Another perfect week predicted is always nice to see. After the earlier set-backs, I think I'm in a good position to bounce back from now on. :P

Midseason Report

Lightweights

Byes:

1. Microwave
2. O'Malley

Microwave has been fairly dominating so far with two knockouts. On the other hand, two of his other wins are FFs, and none of his wins have come against anyone with a winning record. Microwave really hasn't been tested yet, so we'll have to see if he can keep this up. He faces Redline this week, for his first real test. Meanwhile, O'Malley is taking advantage of a weak division and might have an easy path to the playoffs unless the rest of the division steps up.

Wildcard:

3. Zadkiel
4. Something Vibrant
5. Redline
6. Speed Buster

Zadkiel is sitting pretty but only division winners get Byes. Something Vibrant has probably overachieved somewhat - another robot that's gotten its full allotment of forfeits. Redline won 3 of its last 4 before the bye so it seems like he's been getting better. Speed Buster has done well for itself lost a stupid battle on a forfeit... Mystic is going to have to keep RPing if Speed Buster has a hope.

In The Hunt:

7. Conqueror
8. Mr. Not Very Nice
9. Dr. P
10. Scarab

Conqueror has had an up and down season, and lost 3 of it's last 4 matches. Its match this week against Mr. NVN will be crucial. Mr. NVN has done fairly well for itself to stay competitive, and could continue to make gains. Dr. P has performed poorly recently, but has a chance to leapfrog Speed Buster for a playoff spot. Scarab has also faired poorly, but has an easy slate for the next two weeks.

No Chance:

11. No Exit
12. Le-Mans
13. Son of a Box

No Exit has had a really rough go of things, but he's also had a tough schedule to work with. Le-Mans isn't a great design and will probably continue to languish on the outside of the playoffs. Son of a Box is winless and will continue to forfeit.

Middleweights

Byes:

1. Square Wave
2. Pterodactyl

Square Wave has had a really dominating season so far, beating Sarge, Luna, Pterodactyl, and No Patrol. Pterodactyl has also had a good season, but just dropped its last too matches and will have to hope he can turn things around before Sarge or someone else overtakes him. Not easy when his next match is against Barrier.

Wildcard:

3. Barrier
4. Marauder
5. Sarge
6. No Patrol

Speaking of Barrier, old designs can still work. He's had some strong wins over Marauder and Luna, dropping a tough one to Sarge. NFX's only shot at the playoffs, it looks like. Marauder has also performed well and should continue to do so. And Sarge. Basically Square Wave, Barrier, Marauder, and Sarge should make up four of the playoff spots, with their strong drive and powerful lifter. No Patrol rounds out the playoff spots as the only spinner... I think he'd have a hard go of things if he made the playoffs in this type of environment.

In The Hunt:

7. Good For It
8. Hermes
9. Luna
10. Janus

Unsurprisngly Good For It either KOs or is KOd and sits at .500. Hermes has had a decent enough season this far, but its hard to imagine him beating out one of the other four lifters for a playoff spot. Luna has been on the bad end of some stacked matches so far, finding it tough to fight against the well armored robots in the division. Janus is finally done getting ripped apart by spinners so he has time to turn it around.

No Chance:

11. Toothache
12. Millenaire de Souffrance
13. Jetset

Toothache has gotten abused by every competitor it's faced so far, and it's hard to see it turning things around. Millenaire can't self right so even when Mystic does RP its going to be an uphill battle. Jetset continues to forfeit.

Heavyweights

Byes:

1. Snijmachine
2. Station to Station

Snijmachine has torn apart a lot of its competition, though two of its wins are by FF. Its win over The Arbiter will help it when vying for the division title. Station to Station has quietly put together a string of wins before leapfrogging Klarinette last week. It's been a while since we've had a real powerhouse multibot, and StS shows how dangerous plain lifter multis can be.

Wildcard:

3. Klarinette
4. The Arbiter
5. Shrek
6. Tellu

Klarinette lost but it shouldn't be in any danger. Likewise The Arbiter's only loss is to Snijmachine so he shouldn't have anything to worry about, though it makes it difficult for him to clinch a bye. Shrek is the surprising competitor at this stage of the competition, scoring a key victory over Tellu. I'm 50/50 on whether or not he'll keep this spot - there are better robots than Shrek, but Shrek the tools to score key wins. Tellu will probably hang onto his spot by a thread.

In The Hunt:

7. Waterloo Sunset
8. El Chupacabra
9. Give Way

Waterloo Sunset is nothing special and that might hurt it when it tries to clinch a spot. He'll probably have to fight with Shrek over it. El Chupacabra is something of a true wild card - it just beat Klarinette and could have a couple more big wins left in it, but I don't know if it will be consistent enough to clinch a spot. Give Way is probably to slow to consistently win.

No Chance:

10. Super Smash Bros
11. Terrordactyl
12. Awkwardbot
13. Evil FireBlaze

Super Smash bros is probably lucky that Snijmachine is the only true spinner in this weight class. I think it might be difficult for them to win more matches since they don't do any one thing well, but aren't really a jack of all trades either. Terrordactyl flits between forfeits and losing outright. I don't expect him to do much. Awkwardbot will keep forfeiting. Evil FireBlaze should win a couple matches as long as Mystic actually RPs.

Superheavyweights

Byes:

1. Jack Frost
2. Phantasmic Slammer

Despite being in one of the most competitive divisions, I have a hard time seeing Jack Frost let go of his first round bye. Phantasmic Slammer is in his spot at the moment, but he's tied with Parabolic Trajectory at the moment, so who knows what the division will look like come the end of the season.

Wildcard:

3. Peppernut
4. Parabolic Trajectory
5. Lethal Injection
6. Teresa

Peppernut somehow manages to do it season after season, but I predict he won't win the title, yet again, lol. Parabolic Trajectory took a tough first week loss to Jack Frost, but has strung together four straight wins so he's on a hot streak. Lethal Injection took a hard couple of losses in the last three weeks, but probably shouldn't come under much threat for a playoff spot. Teresa has started to skid - maybe losing once is all it took to open up the floodgates?

In The Hunt:

7. Stabstract
8. Barracuda
9. Chemical Reaction
10. The Watcher

Stabstract is kidna like Waterloo Sunset for me. Will finish with a winning record but probably miss the playoffs on a tiebreaker. Barracuda has taken some tough losses - I think being an axe might be a little difficult this tournament. Chemical Reaction and The Watcher probably have a couple wins left in them, but I doubt they'll do much to challenge for a wildcard spot.

No Chance:

11. Flip THIS
12. Pathos
13. Viluy

Pathos is better than his record indicates but I don't know why Mystic didn't make him able to self-right. Viluy has a host of problems that makes winning difficult. Flip THIS will end with a bunch of forfeits and no wins.

Hmm, so I'm still just about hanging on for most of them, fair dos. Some seem to have more of a chance at making the Playoffs than others, but as long as I can get one or maybe two in, that'd be great.

After some rough patches early on for guys on my team not named Jack Frost, I'm pretty happy with where they're sitting. I guess O'Malley's soft division will come back to haunt come playoff time should it come to that, but hey... ya never know. :P

Hermes in my point is the only robot that has potential in qualifying, Chemical Reaction is slowly slipping away, whilst I agree with Le-Mans and Terror-Dactyl they both having a woeful season.
