Week 2

LWs
D-REZ vs. Red Zone

D-REZ is fast enough to do what Scarab couldn't, I'd think. Maybe if Chris baits Dylan near a hazard, he'll win. But eh.

D-REZ = 60%

The Servant's Assistant vs. Scatterbrain

Servant has tough armour, and probably the better mobility.

The Servant's Assistant = 65%

Scarab vs. Talon

Abstain.

War Bastard vs. Janus

Nah. If Robotnik couldn't do it...

Janus = 70%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Pyrite

Thwackbots are extremely tricky to hit with an axe. Thing is, will the speed/traction disparity make Pyrite lose control? We'll see.

Pyrite = 55%

Dr. Robotnik vs. BYE

:P

MWs

BYE vs. King Dedede

:P

Automaton vs. Empty Inside

Not much to say, really. Think Automaton has this.

Automaton = 65%

WhipCoil 3.1 vs. Sunshine

Sunshine needs to be careful here, or he'll get dragged to hazards like last match.

WhipCoil 3.1 = 55%

Dreadnought vs. Freezerburn

In particular flipper vs. spinner matches, I'm skeptical of any spinner with a flagpole needed to self-right, even my own. The robot's spinner gets stopped, and then when flipped, how can it self-right? There's a lot of friction going on with the spinner on contact with the ground, can it gain enough power to move the shell, let alone push the flag with enough force to self-right it? And in Freezerburn's case, it has three hammers, would it really have enough force to even move the hammers off the ground? Just...it looks testy, that's all.

[/end mini-rant]

As for the match? I'll assume Freezerburn can self-right properly. And get in a lot of shots.

Freezerburn = 60%

Jinx II vs. Fire! Fire! Fire!

Abstain.

Bad Wolf vs. Messiah

If Martijn goes for the wedging tactic, he'll probably slip right underneath the spinning bar and have this won, I think.

Bad Wolf = 65%

HWs

King K. Rool vs. Killobite

Abstain.

BYE vs. Blood Thirsty

:P

The Intimidator vs. Atilla

Things don't look good for Badnik. If he approaches the drum, it outpowers his. If he approaches the wedges, he'll get wedged...

Atilla = 80%

Metallic Doom vs. Kraze 3

Err...no wedge protection + massive flipper and skirts/wedging all around = one-way flight to the epic fail bin. Emphasis on the "flight" bit.

Kraze 3 = 90%

Punch Buggy vs. Slasher

Alex will need superb driving skills to pull this off. Then again, so will Chris. :P

Slasher = 51%

Y-Combat vs. Bulletproof Bomb

I think Bulletproof Bomb will kick arse here.

Bulletproof Bomb = 80%

SHWs

Jack Frost vs. Suicide Bomber

Suicide Bomber OHKO'd itself last time? Okay.

Jack Frost = 95%

Lethal Injection vs. Dr. Thwack

One lift is all it takes, but can GF93 get it with a 1-powered lifter? I'm gonna say late in the match, but yes.

Lethal Injection = 65%

Industrial Bastardization vs. Final Boss

<del>Final Boss = 100%</del> Abstain. :P

Agent X vs. Japanese Porn Star

Hmm. A difficult proposition for the Hentai Star. X should have "fun" with her. :P

Agent X = 75%

BYE vs. Phantasmic Slammer

:P

Peppernut vs. Drumroll

Things factor in here: I would have said Drumroll could rip that spike off, but he won't if the drum hits the wedge first and stops spinning! Alex will need to get to the sides and land massive hits. Thing is, Drumroll has the same armour, so we'll see.

Peppernut = 51%

Week 3

LWs

D-REZ vs. The Servant's Assistant

Once again, D-REZ has some good speed on his side. This will help when evading Servant's charges. Still, Servant has some good armour but we'll see.

D-REZ = 55%

Talon vs. Red Zone

The more controlled rammer should win this in spades, methinks.

Red Zone = 80%

Janus vs. Scatterbrain

Dunno, actually. Scatterbrain can survive with its high armour value, but aggression...ehhh...

Janus = 51%

Scarab vs. Pyrite

Abstain. :P

War Bastard vs. BYE

:P

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Dr. Robotnik

Provided Alex RPs...there won't be much he can do against the faster Robotnik.

Dr. Robotnik = 70%

MWs

BYE vs. Automaton

:P

Sunshine vs. King Dedede

Dedede to kick arse. I really don't like Sunshine's hammer because it can't hit properly when Sunshine is wedged, and Sunshine has low wedge effectiveness...

King Dedede = 75%

Freezerburn vs. Empty Inside

The angled corners could spell trouble for Freezerburn. Empty Inside might not be knocked away as easily as other robots. Also, high armour. Make sure you RP well, Lian.

Empty Inside = 60%

Whipcoil 3.1 vs. Fire! Fire! Fire!

Yikes. I've not too much of a clue. Both have 7 wedge (IIRC), both have 2WD...I'll give it to WhipCoil due to FireFireFire's lower armour.

WhipCoil 3.1 = 51%

Dreadnought vs. Messiah

God knows. Man, predictions this week are not easy...errr...Messiah based on damage?

Messiah = 51%

Jinx vs. Bad Wolf

Abstain. :P

HWs

King K. Rool vs. BYE

:P

Atilla vs. Killobite

Abstain. :P

Kraze 3 vs. Blood Thirsty

Hmm. Kraze actually poses a problem for Blood Thirsty's jaws, but Blood Thirsty's massive tireage should help it escape sticky situations, and I see him getting to Kraze's side more than once and clamping down. It's tough, though, because Kraze has good armour and a decent speed/traction disparity.

Blood Thirsty = 51%

The Intimidator vs. Slasher

There is no way. The drum will glance off the lifter (which should have higher armour than the drum's power) and I'm pretty sure Slasher has the drivetrain to keep the front on Intimidator. Badnik, you should have just left in Marble Zone Meltdown...it probably would have beaten Killobite and Atilla into scrap...

Slasher = 80%

Metallic Doom vs. Bulletproof Bomb

Think Bomb can get THIS one...again, wedgeless box against a wedge? lolno

Bulletproof Bomb = 90%

Punch Buggy vs. Y-Combat

Those 'wedges' on Y-Combat are going to do fuck-all. All Punch Buggy needs to do is wedge the disc a bit and he'll get the wedges of Y-Combat off the floor. That aside, I don't see how Y-Combat would win anyway, the body armour is very high, as are the speed and traction. Personally, Mark better hope Alex can't RP again...

Punch Buggy = 90%

SHWs

Jack Frost vs. Lethal Injection

The bonus GF93 gave his wedge means both his lifter and wedge are armour 8, while his body armour is 6. That's less than what Chris has for armour, lol. Case in point: Jack Frost is going to rip the shit out of those and nullify that wedge effectiveness within a few shots. Lethal Injection needs to be on the move constantly and minimize the number of shots he takes, with that speed advantage of his. Delivering to hazards, etc.

Jack Frost = 65%

Final Boss vs. Suicide Bomber

Uh, no.

Final Boss = 100%

Japanese Porn Star vs. Dr. Thwack GRO-REVOLUTION

Hmm! Completely identical stats. It's possible that their weapons could miss each other. In that case Dr. Thwack has a longer reach head-on, so he could win it. If the weapons go out, JPS might drive up onto the sloped body of Thwack and be in trouble.

Dr. Thwack GRO-REVOLUTION = 51%

Industrial Bastardization vs. Phantasmic Slammer

Abstain. :P

Agent X vs. Drumroll

Drumroll looks good here because not only is he as fast as Agent X but he has a decent speed/traction ratio. Every time he hits Agent's plow, Agent is gonna be sent fucking flying. Agent's armour however might be a deal-breaker. With perseverance, NFX can pull this off, but I'll side with Alex here slightly.

Drumroll = 51%

BYE vs. Peppernut

:P

ugh, I agree. Intimidator's been putting up some solid finishes but unless he gets a lucky break he's screwed. MZM probably woulda been screwed at this point too though. Whipcoil has been doing well though.

Excluding BYE matches this time. :P

Week4

LWs

D-REZ vs. Talon

When you have something that's nearly as fast as Talon, much more controlled, and can eat away at the armour like nothing, you'd have to be an idiot to lose. An idiot? Dylan?

D-REZ = 90%

Janus vs. The Servant

Not like anybody reads these anymore, but eh.

(not predicting own matches or BYEs)

Week 5

LWs

D-REZ vs. Janus

Okay, getting to the back of Robotnik to avoid the weapon is one thing. How will Janus manage to deal with 360 degrees of attack, with 5 armour against a 12 weapon, and being slower? Answer: it won't.

D-REZ = 80%

Pyrite vs. Talon

Both very out of control robots. Talon has absurd wedge effectiveness, but it might do the job here, that plow kinda hinders Pyrite.

Talon = 51%

Dr. Robotnik vs. Red Zone

Red Zone will use the plow to soak up hits and then deposit Robotnik in the saws. Robotnik's weapon to go out near the end. But...Botnik's quick for a spinner.

Red Zone = 52%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Scatterbrain

If Alex RPs, I think he'll win.

Dr. Pepperdine = 55%

MWs

Fire! Fire! Fire! vs. Sunshine

I would have given this to Sunshine, but yeah the axe axle being so close to the top of the robot and far in, and the small axe head...combined with FFF's massive wedge effectiveness...I don't see Sunshine getting many shots in.

Fire! Fire! Fire! = 65%

Messiah vs. Automaton

If Alex RPs, he'll win this. :P

Automaton = 70%

Bad Wolf vs. King Dedede

Bad Wolf to get under Dedede but take a lot of shots. Dedede's hammer power isn't compromised unlike Jinx's, so he'll do far more damage. The question is if he can offset what Bad Wolf can do with that disc, and the wedge effectiveness.

King Dedede = 51%

Whipcoil 3.1 vs. Dreadnought

Think I'll give this to Dreadnought, the flipper seems more substantial than WhipCoil's wedge, and Dreadnought has better drive. WhipCoil CAN cause damage no matter what, though, so it'll be close.

Dreadnought = 60%

HWs

King K. Rool vs. Kraze 3

I don't see a way for K. Rool to win this particular match. Outdone in both wedge and manoeuvrability...

Kraze 3 = 85%

Slasher vs. Atilla

Slasher will face the same problems other clampers have. If he can stop the drum, well, all power to him. If he can't, well...he's fucked.

Atilla = 55%

Punch Buggy vs. Blood Thirsty

Punch Buggy can hit the sides of the jaws and damage them...other than that, not much going for the thwackbot...other than a massive drivetrain and armour advantage, but Blood Thirsty can clamp him...

Blood Thirsty = 51%

The Intimidator vs. Metallic Doom

I actually like Intimidator's chances. He probably won't do fuck all to the armour of Metallic Doom, but the drum can pop him up enough so that, wedge or not, Badnik's bot can get under him and take him nasty places. The claws themselves are very susceptible to this.

The Intimidator = 60%

SHWs

Jack Frost vs. Japanese Porn Star

...didn't Jack Frost win last time? He should again, here. JPS may have more weapon power but Jack Frost has the range, and much better armour.

Jack Frost = 60%

Phantasmic Slammer vs. Final Boss

Slammer has just as much wedge, so this'll be interesting. All in all, I think that lifter/flipper on Final Boss will get under Slammer, but if Badnik avoids that, his flipper will get under those skirts on Final Boss, and he'll be okay. If he flips Final Boss, then I still see Boss having a hard time self-righting. Actually very difficult to call...

Final Boss = 51%

Drumroll vs. Lethal Injection

Drums love wedges, you say...

Drumroll = 60%

Peppernut vs. Suicide Bomber

I have to query why on earth Mark makes ridiculous spinners just to see them implode in their matches... :rolleyes:

Peppernut = 100%

Wargh, me again. :/ Haven't made too many good predictions, have I?

Week 6

LWs

D-REZ vs. Pyrite

I...kind of want to see how Badnik will RP for this. XD I have no idea how Pyrite is going to win. Thwacking will simply go up the wedge, and D-REZ actually has wedge effectiveness so the plow on Pyrite is next to useless in this. So yeah. But...that's the point! You're supposed to make me look like an idiot! :dawg: As Philip has always said: "Go out and prove me wrong!"

D-REZ = 90%

Dr. Robotnik vs. Talon

Um, no. Even if Talon flips Doc Botnik, there will be little controlled aggression from the rambot. Josh to take advantage.

Dr. Robotnik = 75%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. The Servant's Assistant

That's a dangerous axe/hammer, but Servant can get in and flip before he's hit. If he keeps that up all match, Lian should win. Look for at least a few solid hits from Pepperdine, though. Those could be all it takes...

The Servant's Assistant = 60%

War Bastard vs. Red Zone

Red Zone should be able to take what War Bassa' can dish out. One tour of the hazards, please!

Red Zone = 65%

MWs

Messiah vs. Freezerburn

I actually see, for the first time, a bit of a flaw in Freezerburn's design. Its hammers go too low. The thing is, Messiah's bar...is it high enough to hit those supports? I'm really not sure. I think it is.

Messiah = 65%

Bad Wolf vs. Sunshine

If Bad Wolf uses the wedges, Sunshine won't be able to do shit.

Bad Wolf = 75%

Dreadnought vs. King Dedede

Yikes. Difficult proposition for the King, actually. Dedede's outdone in wedge, and they more or less have equal drivetrain...GF93, a winrar is you.

Dreadnought = 65%

WhipCoil 3.1 vs. Empty Inside

WhipCoil to kick arse.

WhipCoil 3.1 = 80%

HWs

King K. Rool vs. Slasher

Ah, Chris vs. Josh. Guess I'm writing that one then, eh? :P Well even so, my predictions and resulting writes have been various, so...you can't base this prediction as being the actual outcome...or NOT being the actual outcome! HA! :P

And the match? Slasher. <_<

Slasher = 75%

Bulletproof Bomb vs. Kraze 3

And yet again Bomb is screwed...like King. K Rool was last time. <_<

Kraze 3 = 75%

Y-Combat vs. Atilla

Equal weapon power. Y-Combat has more armour, Atilla has more traction. I really don't know, tbh.

Atilla = 51%

The Intimidator vs. Blood Thirsty

The torture continues for Badnik's HW...

Blood Thirsty = 85%

SHWs

Jack Frost vs. Phantasmic Slammer

Jack Frost is a bit slower, but he should be able to get the weaponry in play, a lot.

Jack Frost = 60%

Drumroll vs. Japanese Porn Star

Japanese Porn Star doesn't do drum rolls. She does handjobs.

Japanese Porn Star = 80%

Peppernut vs. Final Boss

Final Boss has 7 wedge everywhere except the back, and better maneouvrability. Don't expect Marti to win...

Final Boss = 75%

Agent X vs. Suicide Bomber

And at this point everybody grabs the popcorn and watches Mark's humiliation again. But it looks cool! So everybody pays extra money for it! So at least you're doing something awesome, Mark! :P

Agent X = 100%

Fuck. Missed a week. Ah well. Soz.

Week 8

LWs

D-REZ vs. Dr. Robotnik

Urgh...I think I'd have to give it to D-REZ based on Robotnik's lack of a wedge, and D-REZ's 360 degree attack range.

D-REZ = 65%

War Bastard vs. Pyrite

Without that thwack Pyrite isn't too hot. And heck they have the same traction and armour! I think War Bastard easily has this one.

War Bastard = 70%

Talon vs. Scatterbrain

Tough, actually. Scatterbrain has limited speed, so Talon's will catch him eventually, and Talon has decent armour...

Talon = 51%

The Servant's Assistant vs. Red Zone

Nah...Lian's goose is cooked here...unless he can keep getting to Red Zone's sides. Red Zone does have 6WD after all, not Servant...

Red Zone = 55%

MWs

Dreadnought vs. Fire! Fire! Fire!

Dreadnought has this in spades, methinks.

Dreadnought = 75%

Whipcoil 3.1 vs. Freezerburn

Not seeing what WhipCoil can do tbh.

Freezerburn = 80%

Sunshine vs. Empty Inside

Remember Sunshine's last match? Yeah. Same thing here.

Empty Inside = 80%

Automaton vs. King Dedede

It's moot at this point, but had the fabled Alex RP'd, King Dedede would be in major trouble.

Automaton = 85%

HWs

King K. Rool vs. Y-Combat

Dunno. Y-Combat may be uncontrollable but King K. Rool is very cumbersome. tough.

King K. Rool = 51%

Punch Buggy vs. Bulletproof Bomb

Flat sides = raep. At least, that's what would have happened if Alex RP'd. Lucky break, GF93.

Punch Buggy = 75%

Metallic Doom vs. Slasher

I don't see it happening.

Slasher = 80%

The Intimidator vs. Kraze 3

Likewise.

Kraze 3 = 90%

Atilla vs. Blood Thirsty

This is actually very difficult. Blood Thirsty can get torn up here, but then Atilla could get dragged over to the saws. But anyway, I'll go with Atilla.

Atilla = 55%

SHWs

Jack Frost vs. Peppernut

Equal armour value? Jack Frost can do this, I think. He's too low, angled and weirdly shaped for Peppernut to properly push him anywhere.

Jack Frost = 65%

Agent X vs. Phantasmic Slammer

Fuck you.

<del>The bots blow up and both lose. Losers. Haha.</del> Agent X = 50.00000001%

Final Boss vs. Dr. Thwack

Dr. Thwack will do a Suicide Bomber, flip onto his back, and that'll be that. Except Final Boss might have to catch him first.

Final Boss = 95%

Lethal Injection vs. Suicide Bomber

Um, yeah.

And here we go!

Play-offs!

LWs

The Servant's Assistant vs. Red Zone

The last time they fought, The Servant exploited Red Zone's worse turning and managed to completely stall the match :P so he won based on aggression. Red Zone had a better strategy, but it wasn't enough. Red Zone will have to act quicker here for a win, but Servant edges him in drivetrain, so it'll be tough.

The Servant's Assistant = 55%

D-REZ vs. Dr. Robotnik

Dylan took advantage previously by being able to smash Dr. Robotnik's weapon array, and thus render it immobile before his own got fubar'd. Unfortunately the same looks to happen again here, for D-REZ has incredibly long reach for a spinner and their speeds are too equal for Dr. Robotnik to come in and exploit D-REZ.

D-REZ = 70%

MWs

Jinx vs. King Dedede

And here we go again...Jinx's forks ultimately proved to be the decider, so Kody will want to use them again. He'll not want to back up into the drum again either :P but Josh definitely has the speed advantage. He also has the weapon advantage, but he'll need to get it into play more though, as Jinx controlled the damage category by a healthy margin. Can a pimpcoat-wearing blue penguin man get revenge against pink-haired pale teenage sorceress? We'll have to see. :P

Jinx = 55%

Bad Wolf vs. Dreadnought

Bad Wolf really took it to Dreadnought when they met last, even though Dreadnought was the more aggressive. Dreadnought will really have to work to avoid that disc, because it was the decider. Overall, look for some very impressive hits here from both parties, and one hell of a match.

Bad Wolf = 51%

HWs

Slasher vs. King K. Rool

King K. Rool was on Slasher's case a lot previously. Josh ultimately used quick tactics to get his win against the #1 HW and deal Slasher its only loss thus far. Thing is, Slasher still has the wedge advantage, and Chris I don't think will be stupid enough to prematurely raise the lifter again. :P

Slasher = 65%

Kraze 3 vs. Blood Thirsty

Hey it rhymes! Oh, er, sorry. Anyway they have equal wedge, but Kraze 3 managed to outdo him. When they battled in the past, it was incredibly equal. Blood Thirsty may want to play this one a bit more defensively since Kraze can outmanoeuvre him. Then again, when has my advice ever been handy? :P Anyway, it should be good.

Blood Thirsty = 51%

SHWs

Industrial Bastardization vs. Phantasmic Slammer

Well IB outdoes Phantasmic Slammer in everything drive (except torque and number of wheels), but PS has wedge. Lots of wedge. IB doesn't. IB can thwack, and ram. It will still be close, but look for Badnik to up his game.

Can't decide.

Japanese Porn Star vs. Jack Frost

The previous King of SHWs versus the robot that pisses everybody off, from the guy whose bots piss everybody off. You know, Chris, you should change your custom title to match that. :P Anyway I don't see how JPS can win this with JF's longer range and undercutting capabilities, unless JPS gets to JF's main body. And I don't see that happening either.

Jack Frost = 80%

----

Now go out there and prove me wrong. :P
