Crazy Bots: New Breed City - Sign-ups
You better bolt yourself in and batten down the hatches, cause Crazy Bots is BACK!
Rules
- Stat system
- There are NO stat bonuses. At all. No hammer gets a bonus. No spinner gets a bonus. Period. The (kinda) exceptions are dumb thwacks. Dumb thwacks rely on speed and traction for their theoretical weapon power, so their power is (speed+traction)/2, rounded up to the nearest whole number; thus, the bonus. Overhead thwacks are the same, except their power is halved again before being rounded up to the nearest whole number, so a bonus does not apply to them.
- Weapons (all weapons; not just axes) on turrets get one point deducted from them.
Robots that are banned
Flying robots
Hovercrafts
Clusterbots that don't have the same motivation in all parts. (i.e.: one part is a wheeled robot, the other is a walker)
Sign-up Info
- Everyone enters a total of four bots, one from each weight class (Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, Superheavyweight) and assigns them stats using 30 points per bot. Points will be divvied up by 6 categories:
-Speed
-Traction
-Torque
-Armor
-Weapon Power
Note: Armor and Wedge Effectiveness may not exceed 16 points combined.
- The battles will take place in a Round Robin style (as opposed to the traditional tournament style) in which each bot will face every other bot once with playoffs afterward to determine the champion of each weight class. The playoffs will consists of 6 bots per class, with the top 2 bots in each division. The top 2 bots in each weight class get byes to the semi-finals while the #3 seed battles the #6 seed, and the #4 seed battles the #5 seed. The lowest ranked winner will then battle the #1 seed while the highest ranked winning will battle the #2 seed, and the winners of those will fight to decide the weight class champion.
- No double entering the competition (which means no smurf accounts or anything like that).

Kite! Returns with a few changes. Definitely has a wider chassis now and thus a wider wheelbase for the 2WD. The flipping arm is now even more powerful and has much, much improved leverage than last time. Has front shields for deflecting blows from spinners, and for getting under other wedges if they get by the flipping arm. Now has separate extension and scoop set-ups. The scoop set-up gets rid of the front shields.

Perseus (II)
Perseus! The last returner from ARC: Reckoning! Now a much more solidly-built axebot! Has cambered 2WD at the rear which will aid even more in turning, an agonizingly low three-pronged front end, and a powerful axe, which can self-right it with ease! Named after the mythological Greek hero of legend.

Seras! A 2WD overhead fanged "passive" thwack/clamper, "passive" meaning that it acts primarily passive, but a clutch can lock the fangs in place so Seras can keep hold of an opponent, and that requires a weapon point. Has an armoured plow in front, running freely hinged on the wheel axle. Inspired by the British character of Hellsing fame, yet suspiciously Canadian. Also very bloody. Rawr.

Spot reserved for Team Ignition
tentative lineup:
LW- SNK
Back after narrowly missing the playoffs in LoRE. Features a horizontal spinning bar with hardened tool steel teeth and a rear hinged wedge for pushing and getting under things. Also has wheelguards and a snake face on top. The gray bit inside the face is lexan, with the four "fangs" there being mainly for show.
Speed: 6
Weapon: 13
Armor: 6
Traction: 3
Torque: 2
MW-Immolator
Inspired by Robogames 2013 LW champ Federal MT, Immolator features a dual vertical disc (it's basically one spinner with two discs on it) with one tooth on each disc to maximize bite and throwing power. While it doesn't have huge weapon power, it'll hopefully have enough to throw its opponents a few feet. Could possibly self-right with the power and the bite of the discs. If not, it can always drive upside-down if it needs to.
Immolator has two wedge setups: The hinged forks (which utilize gaps in the wedge so that the hinges work the way they should) and a solid wedge without the forks (no gaps).
Speed: 7
Weapon: 10
Armor: 7 (+2 to the wedge)
Traction: 3
Torque: 3
HW-Thunder Ball: Charged
Back from some huge ass retirement, Thunder Ball is Charged and ready to come whoop some ass! Featuring a rear ABR/FireArrow hybrid scoop to deal with spinners, and some Underall wedges in front to deal with other wedges, it's looking to speed into the spotlight and outperform the other forgotten robots from Armageddon. It's fully invertible, and the piano wedges work inverted. Not sure about the anti spinner scoop (appealingly abbreviated to ASS :P ).
Speed: 8
Weapon: 0
Armor: 10 (+1 to the rear scoop)
Traction: 7

SHW- Phantasmic Slammer
Back again after I got fucked in the last 3 weeks of FRR. No longer a 4 bar flipper, it can actually fucking self right now!! Has hinged skirting everywhere but the backside now, and some front forks on the flipper a la Final Boss to get under skirts better. It also has a rounded rear end because it can I guess. It's ready to get some revenge! Again! Fuck yeah!!

HW: Redemption Denied
He's back and nearly unrecognizable, which is good thing. 2WD and a big pneumatic flipping plate a la 40' with wedges wrapped around to the sides for maximum coverage (It's almost like the three-pronged flipper it used to have right? ). Side skirts on the wheel pods in case he needs extra buffering against spinners and stuff and, you know, it makes it harder to get under him.

It's a powerful 4-Bar flipper with interchangeable flipper set-ups. A plow set-up for spinners and the like, and a wedge set-up for everyone else. 4WD. Not invertable, but can self-right very reliably. Acquired from Kody for dignity considerations and some losses to be named later.

Return of the non compos mentis Y-Thwack. Again. After a complete and total failure last time out, Scatterbrain returns with absolutely no changes. Hooray! Three wheels, three arms, three nice heavy pointy hammer things to hit opponents with. Works using Melty Brain technology, which I shall explain for you now. An accelerometer inside the machine measures its rotational velocity, and uses that to calculate which way it is pointing. By using those calculations, and slightly slowing each wheel in turn, the whole machine can achieve linear motion while spinning. Go team. Totally invertible, totally indefensible and totally insane.
MW: Revolutions Per Minute

Arm: 5
Four wheel drive invertible ring spinner. Fist design lets the drive know which way forward is, and the robot can work either way up with no change in functionality. The ring itself has three bands of smaller 'barbed wire' teeth, built into the ring. The staples are just for aesthetics. Also has three angled blade hammer things, one high, one low, and one in the middle. The idea is that if it doesn't manage to cause too much damage, the lower hammer will wedge its way underneath the opponent and kick them up into the air, allowing the middle or upper hammer to strike them harder, both tearing them up and sending them flying. The upper hammer is basically a mirror of the lower one, so it works exactly the same when inverted. Only it'll be spinning in the opposite direction.

6WD ramming brick with hinged wedges at one end and a reinforced plow at the other. There's also a row of teeth on the top and bottom, angled slightly upwards to prevent opponents going straight up and over. The sides are angled to prevent high-siding, there's a decent amount of ground clearance to keep the thing moving, and the mandatory LED strips on either side. Red on the top, blue on the bottom, so the driver knows more easily which way up it is. Completely and totally invertible.

Walking spinner designed for breaking things, e.g. arena hazards, itself, and the stat system. Three massive hammers rotating at Ludicrous Speed mounted perilously low to the ground to pummel anything it comes across into submission. Stabilising bars to ensure it doesn't go all wobbly and start to propel itself upwards into space. Red pointy bit on the front, black pointy bit on the back. Just so I can tell which way it's pointing. Also a name, in case the robot gains sentience and demands an identity. Self-righting is possible in a priori adjunct of the tangential reality spectrum with regards to quasi-physical entities and their interaction with the quantum flux of space-time. That means it can't.

Potential Line-Up
LW: Zadkiel
After a huge amount of consistent success in FRR: No Mercy, Zadkiel is back for another try at the LW nut. Same old undercutting disc of destruction that can also work as an overcutter when inverted. The wedge at the back is now hinged and acts as a defence mechanism, or a form of attack should the disc stop working. It now has improved drive and is faster than before, but still greatly controlled. The armour has also been improved, making Zadkiel a formidable threat.

Armour: 6
Weapon: 13
MW: Merry Hampton 2.5
The flagship MW for Team Ectogasm steams into New Breed City setting it's sights on the crown. A seriously improved front wedge, a bit lighter and easier to control at the front. The plow itself IS hinged, just to prevent any controversy popping up later. The rear wedges have also been redone to be effective either way up. The fangs are removable if needs be. Invertible with 4WD
Speed: 8
Traction: 8
Torque: 4
Armour: 10 (+3 to front plow)
Weapon: 0
HW: Hammerfell
The originally Terminus 2 has been scaled up for HW competition. a 4WD machine with two weapons on it. The first is the ever present and lethal axe to smack into armour and open up enemies. The second is the front lifter, which can double up with the axe to become a clampbot. Can self-right easily with the axe. Has skirts on the side for extra protection and a plow at the back to deal with pesky spinners that may come my way.
Speed: 6
Traction: 5
Torque: 2
Armour: 8 (Axe and lifter have 10 due to active weapon bonus)
Weapon: 9
SHW: F-Dynasty 3
The inaugural Crazy Bots SHW champion is back in action. Has gone through a serious redesign stage to combat many issues that were befalling it. Gone are the wheels, replaced by very sturdy tank tracks for extra control and power. It now comes with an active weapon of a puncher, the main puncher set up is flanked by two red hinged wedges and a hinged grey wedge just underneath. Can be used to punch at armour, keep opponents at bay and damage spinning weapons. The second is a punching plow, mainly for use on low hitting or undercutting spinners and also to slip underneath the opponent, catching them off guard and off to a hazard trip. Improved control, better torque, heavily armour and with an active weapon, F-Dynasty 3 seeks to defend it's crown.

Has skirts on the side for extra protection and a plow at the back to deal with pesky spinners that may come my way.

LW- Deathstalker
Named after one of the deadliest types of scorpion in the World, Deathstalker is a Lightweight Toe Crusher-esque Thwacker that functions effectively both sideways and from overhead with a specially-designed heavy Axe that I like to refer to as the 'Crucifix of Doom'- it's got a Tanto-like point on the front, a hatchet-like cleaving blade on the back, and two spikes on the sides for thwacking sideways, enabling it to function in any direction.
It's also got a big wedge on the front for getting under opponents, spring-loaded Spikes for keeping opponents trapped on the wedge as they get shoved and hammered, pointy spiked hubcabs for preventing it falling on its side, and is protected by thick armour, hinged skirts on the sides, and foam-filled tyres to minimise damage from the Killsaws. The Crucifix is mounted on a thick bar with support brackets and a ball joint for keeping it as well-protected as can be, making it a very durable machine all-round.
Speed- 9
Traction- 9
Torque- 5
Armour- 7
Weapon- 0 (Multidirectional Torque Reaction-driven Axe, spring-loaded Spikes on both sides of the Front Wedge.)
Notes- Is completely invertible. Interlocking steering prevents the need for it to reverse its controls when flipped, its Weapon functions any way up, and its spring-loaded Spikes are mounted on both sides of the wedge. Can function as both a sideways and overhead Thwacker.
MW- Marauder
After its initial run in Ruination: The Beginning, everyone's favourite unkillable tracked machine returns meaner, tougher, and completely rebuilt. Still the same basic design as before, but Marauder's defensive and offensive capabilities have been considerably improved, as have the internals. Not only is it a great deal faster, pushier, and more controllable than before, but has new and much better tracks made out of steel with rubber grips for maximum traction and defence.
It's also got a newly-designed wider Lifting Plate with better wedging capabilities (EDIT: And removable Wedge Extenders for additional purchase when needed.), spring-loaded hooks on both sides of the chassis to keep opponents trapped in place as it flips and shoves them about, and a brand-new reversible Ramming Scoop on the back complemented by reversible hinged skirts (On tapered plates, so that they can function identically either way up.) mounted all round the chassis and tapering into the Lifting Plate at the front for great wedge protection, whilst still maintaining its good ability to climb over obstacles or other robots if necessary.
Improved in just about every way possible, Marauder returns with revenge on his mind- and he's out to flatten everything and everyone in his path to glory!
Speed- 7
Traction- 8
Torque- 4
Armour-9
Weapon- 2 (Linear Actuator-driven Lifting Plate with optional Wedge Extenders, spring-loaded Spikes, and removable Rear Scoop)
Notes- Is completely invertible. Interlocking steering prevents the need for it to reverse its controls when flipped, its Lifting Plate, Skirts and Scoop can be used effectively regardless of if it is flipped over or not due to being reversible, and has two sets of spring-loaded Spikes- one for either side of the chassis.
HW- Dreadnought Mk2
After making the Last Eight in FRR: No Mercy, Dreadnought Mk2 comes back for another try. Still essentially the same machine it was previously, featuring a powerful front-hinged Flipper, a sharpened wedge blade attached to a wide, low and aerodynamic chassis for effectively getting underneath opponents, and is protected by thick armour, angled plating, and a layer of Polycarbonate underneath the Flipper to protect from overhead weapons.
This time however, Dreadnought has been upgraded with newer, more powerful motors for improved Speed, and a new set of Killsaw-proofed Foam Tyres for even better Traction, Acceleration, and Manoeuvrability. With these improvements, Dreadnought is still as tough and well-armed as ever, but now moves like a bullet on top of its existing strengths, making it very dangerous.
Speed- 8
Traction- 8
Torque- 2
Armour- 8
Weapon- 4 (Front-hinged Pneumatic Flipper powered by low pressure CO2 gas)
Notes- Runs on two-wheel drive, and can quickly self-right using its flipper. The flipper runs on low pressure, ala M2 and Ripper- this gives it similar power to a conventional high pressure system, but lasts much longer. Named after HMS Dreadnought, the United Kingdom's first Nuclear-powered Submarine.
SHW- Lethal Injection Mk2
After attaining a perfect season and making the last eight in Ruination: The Omen, Ice Cubed Robotics' flagship Superheavyweight returns rebuilt internally for its fourth go at the title. Brand new motors and an overhauled drivetrain grant it improved Speed, Acceleration and Agility as well as higher torque for stronger pushing, and its armour is improved as well for taking on even the most dangerous opponents in its division.
The new improvements work alongside what helped make it such a success in its previous competitions- including its versatile weaponry, reversible skirts and rear Wedge for additional protection against flanking, patented Anti-Hammer Cushioned Lid and its well-known reliability, all adding up to a very dangerous competitor that should in theory be able to adapt to almost any opponent. Lethal Injection Mk2's out to take home the title this time.
Speed- 7
Traction- 7
Torque- 4
Armour- 9
Weapon- 3 (Bi-rotational Electric Lifter at the front, interchangeable between thick Spikes with bladed tips, a flat Anti-Spinner Plate, and a thick Ramming Scoop.)
Notes- Is completely invertible- its weaponry can rotate either way, and features interlocking steering to avoid the need to change its controls when flipped over. Chassis top is cushioned for protection against hammers.

LW Turbine
Stats:
Speed: 8
Traction: 6
Torgue: 3
Weapon: 6
Armour: 7
Inspired off so many robots, Turbine is a nippy little robot which hoist 24V motors, Near the speed of Wedge of Doom, even though it's quick, the traction is it's biggest problem since it's a 2WD and it slips along the floor sometimes like it's running on ice.
This robot relies on it's powerful flipper. The flipper can sometimes make the robot hop a little from the front since all of the Co'2 gas has a high pressure, a huge amount of gas can be vented out which could be costly since so much energy is being thrown on the actual weapon.
The armor is not the strongest in the world but it can resist a few blows depending on how powerful the opponents weapon is.
It can self right as long it has enough gas left in it's weapon.
MW Sneak Beast
Speed: 7
Traction: 6
Torque: 3
Weapon: 7
Armor: 7
Sneak Beast is a resemblance to "Kronic the Wedgehog" (Series 4 Version Of Robot Wars), the robot is balanced, it's torque and traction is well controlled thanks to it's 4WD drive system.
The weapon combined which includes a low pressure flipper and a circular saw blade combines the weapons strength. The reason for this is so the robot doesn't loose it's control from an overpowered weaponry system.
It's amour is titanium which should do fine against other opposition.
HW Terror-Dactyl
Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Torque: 3
Weapon: 10
Armor: 5
Terror-Dactyl has been my inspired dream machine when I used to watch Robot Wars, a nice Razer-esque resemblance to it but a nice design.
This robot doesn't push as much as the other entrants since it relies on it's powerful crushing weapon able to give 7 tons of squeeze.
At an average speed, it's a potent robot with a 2WD drive system, sometimes spins round depending how far the controls are pushed.
The armour is a wonderful coated titanium giving this beast a sweet shine against the light.
The robot has no self righting mechanism.
SHW Chemical Reaction
Speed: 5
Traction: 4
Torque: 3
Weapon: 10
Armor: 8
Wielding a powerful 500rpm vertical spinning disc, it's bound to cause a reaction. Even thought the robot may have slow pace. It can deliver a devastating blow with the weapon. The armor is stainless steel added with polycarbonate cylinder shells to protect it's wheels and electronics.

WarWolf is a MW robot that is using a flipper panel similar that the ones from GreenWar, this one however is powerful enough to let the bot do a nice frontflip and land nicely on it's wheels, it won't happen 100% of the time thought, that amazing powerr comes with a price, in that case it's quite low armor and traction, yet he still managed to keep decent speed and torque, it is quite wedgy too, yet he doesn't really like spinners, espicially undercutters, as the tend to damage the wedge, ruining it.

HW: Golden Blaze
Yep Golden Blaze returns, with an fully angled bar on all sides, which should not make much of a difference, but i made some modifications to the chassis, it is now sloped, you think why, well for 2 reasons:
A: low spinners might bounce a little upon hitting it and get slammed into the blade
B: The outer "wedge blades" of some kind may help getting under opponents with the spinning motion, eventually breaking at least part of their traction, and make them getting lifted up and possibly get into the blade s'path, which coould help if they're low enough to not hit the blade, unless they have wedges too, in which case they may get deflected, especially with the upgraded speed...
