WEEK 10

Lightweights

Jesus Built My Hotrod vs. Turgor

Jesus starts off VERY aggressiove - WHOA! Jesus accidentally flew over the killsaws, but they didn't pop. Goodness. Well Turgor doesn't fare so lucky and backs straight into the wall. Ow. Well anyway, Jesus goes after Turgor's sides. He gets them, but Turgor spins away almost every single time. When he does spin away, he manages to spin the wedge all the way around under Jesus and then send him to a killsaw very quickly. When he doesn't, Jesus slams him into the wall. Both robots display phenomenally bad driving, with Turgor being the worse of them by crashing into walls nearly every 10 seconds. Jesus does miss Turgor a fair amount though, and Turgor continues to utilize his spin tactics efficiently. The match ends with ALMOST a slam into the wall by Turgor, but Jesus slides off and Turgor hits the wall instead.

Aggression: 9-6 Jesus Built My Hotrod
Damage: 8-7 Turgor
Strategy: 10-5 Turgor

Turgor wins a 24-21 decision.

Crystal vs. Dr. Pepperdine

Quarter-final action, right now. Pepperdine tries his best to get past Crystal's flipping arm, but he can't, and is sent flying by the flipper. He lands upside-down but doesn't even get a chance to recover because Crystal is right back under him. Several, several flips follow. Pepperdine gets a break at the minute mark when he just manages to get away for the flipping arm. From there Alex once tries his best to get around the flipping arm, and catches a break. He manages to dodge it by the slightest millimetre and give the body armour a healthy smack. A gaping hole is carved into Crystal's armour... that's major damage. However, Crystal backs off before Pepperdine can get another blow, setting him up for another series of flips. At one point Pepperdine goes over the saws and they send him away from Crystal, at the cost of a scratched underbelly. Under a minute to go now, and Alex is doing everything he can. He manages to get a blow in on the flipping arm itself, denting it somewhat. Pepperdine gets another blow and the flipper's edge is no longer flush with the ground. However Crystal manages to get in a few more flips anyway before the end of this action packed match.

Aggression: 11-4 Crystal
Damage: 11-4 Pepperdine
Strategy: 10-5 Crystal

Crystal wins a 25-20 judges decision.

Middleweights

WhipCoil vs. Caliente

You know, for a quarterfinal match, this was incredibly boring. Both machines just shoved straight at each other. WhipCoil gets under first but Caliente gets away and then gets under WhipCoil, but WhipCoil also gets away. WhipCoil doesn't bother to go for the sides and Caliente never has to worry about his awful traction too much, with an occasional slip-up where he flew over the saws. Still, Caliente gets under WhipCoil more and slams him into stuff the few times that he manages to keep control of WhipCoil.

Aggression: 8-7 Caliente
Damage: 8-7 WhipCoil
Strategy: 9-6 Caliente

Caliente wins a 24-21 judges decision.

Give Way vs. Terminus

Well this is an interesting approach, Give Way
This account is in a state of dimensional flux

LEAGUE OF ROBOTIC EXCELLENCE: SEMI-FINALS

LW

Recovered vs. Crystal

Crystal tries to get under Recovered, but the inverse happens. Recovered gets under and takes him to the pulverizers. That wasn't fun. Crystal takes some solid hammering and barely manages to get away. When he does, though, his flipping arm gets thwacked aside by Recovered and he's taken back into the hammer. This time some major drivetrain damage is done and Crystal cannot drive in a straight line. Well that's not to say he can display any real driving ability because once again Recovered thwacks him as he tries to escape, and it takes one more series of pulverizer hits to finish Crystal and Team MPire's LoRE run.

Recovered wins a knockout in 1:27 over Crystal.
