Speak freely but don't be stupid about it or you'll find yourself on the last train to Clarksville, ya dumbass.

So a while back in the Skype chat, I tossed an idea out for an insect class robot combat tournament held by ARC people, with those among us who have ants, beetles, and hobbies competing. Merely am wondering, who in the community would be interested in seeing something like this actually happen?

Sounds interesting- I always have liked the idea of an ARCcon myself, and even moreso one with actual robots. Got a BW in the works myself, so hopefully once that's ready, I might be able to get involved.

It's a pretty cool idea, though I'm not sure if the bigger challenge would be finding enough people with bots to make it worthwhile (though I guess if some people had more than one they could share them out), or getting everyone together in one location.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

It's a cool idea, but it might be tricky since more and more of us on ARC are based abroad (The UK, etc.).

Toronto/ontario seems to be another area with at least a few ARCers, as is Washington State

I believer he idea he is pitching isn't so much as an ARCCON type thing, but more so organizing a tournament in a location that doesn't have events that ANYBODY can participate in..

As in all coming together to put in on, advertising and promoting the event, etc.

I for one would love to get something started.

I still have a working antweight and middleweight, but I also live in the literal middle of nowhere.
