After talking with my dad, it looks like we're going to see about milling FireArrow v2's chassis out of a solid block of aluminum. Should make the bot a bit more resilient.

So I got the beetleweight off Ebay. Yay.

All of the parts I need for FireArrow are in, so we can start building again now.

Welp, bad news guys...

My scout troop has decided to have a camping trip on the EXACT SAME WEEKEND as my next planned competition. So this means I won't be fighting again until March. Which is way too damn long.

And as much as I'd love to skip the trip and go, I need to go to finish a merit badge which I need for Eagle... :(

Registered for my next event in March and getting parts together for Nocturne. Brushless motor came in last night, looks like we're gonna have to do some modifications to it to get it to work with the chassis.

Done and ready for next Saturday. Nocturne won't be coming, but we have replacement parts on the way and it should be working for Bot Blast.

If you're wondering what's on the back it's a strip of 4130 steel we're using to protect the motors and let the thing self-right.

FireArrow came first at Bot Blast with a 6-1 record. This makes it its second championship in 3 tournaments. Nocturne wasnt finished in time but will be ready for either Franklin or the MIT event, whichever comes first.

One year into my real robotics career and FireArrow is 15-3. Why can't this win record happen for me in ARC :v:

firearrow went 2-2 and is pending a complete rebuild with titanium and plastic and magicalness
nocturne went 1-2 thanks to shitty weapon problems that have hopefully been fixed
im building a 6lb robot for may, just another wedge to round out the field of uber destructive spinners that have been dominating that weight class so far. no clue what i'm going to call it
