Very nice indeed. =) 4WD wedges such as this aren't the most original of designs, but they are usually a safe bet, and it's a good touch having the angled rear to keep your wheels on the ground. I'm wondering what the little white block on the side view is, but aside from that it should put up a decent showing in the average tournament. Good work!

That looks really legit for a paint bot. What do you have in mind for stats?

Alternatively, one idea that could also work is taking the Klarinette approach- having good drive power and defence for keeping the pressure on, but a relatively low-powered but fast weapon for hitting frequently and scoring good aggression points, but still being strong enough to do things (IE. self-right, cause some damage) with. Something like-

Speed: 6
Traction: 6
Torque: 3
Armour: 10
Weapon: 5

- could be a suggestion, but I'm really not the best at statting axes- because like Crushers, they're a bit trickier (but by no means impossible) to stat truly effectively. So to help Peskius out, does anyone else have any other ideas for how this machine could be statted?

And I agree with these stats. While I'm not sure if having a fast and agile robot with a powerful weapon can be done without low armor, the axe could be used as a clamp to control the bot and drive it into hazards

he did say he wanted the weapon to actually do something, and 5 points is going to do jack shit... I'd suggest something more along the lines of

Spd: 6
Tra: 4
tor: 2
wep: 9
arm: 9 (+1 front)

That does look really good for a paint bot. Well done!

Hopefully you actually stick around for an entire tournament next time :P

I hope so too. Whenever I join a tournament it always seems to be just before my life crashes XD

I like the stats that Gabe gave it. You could add or take a way a couple from each category depending on whether or not you wanted more armour, better weapon power, or a bit more speed. with a 4WD chassis wedge, you're unlikely to need torque for anything but acceleration. Eg.:

7 speed / 5 traction / 1 torque / 10 weapon / 7 armour (+2 front)

6 speed / 4 traction / 1 torque / 9 weapon / 10 armour

6 speed / 4 traction / 2 torque / 11 weapon / 7 armour (+2 front)

Up to you, really. Good luck!

What about 7 speed / 4 traction / 2 torque / 7 weapon / 10 armour?

I don't think a 7/4 control disparity is a good idea there, especially not with a weapon with as narrow a range of attack as an axe. You need your opponent smack-dab in front of you, and it's going to be harder to point the axe where you want.

not to mention that 7 weapon will rarely do that much, even to lower armored robots

Okay so I have the refined stats for Point Blank II now, with your folks's help.
6 speed / 4 traction / 2 torque / 9 weapon / 9 armour

I also have a new featherweight to introduce to you all...
Gentlemen . . . The Surgeon is in!

His stats are currently in the process of refining. But currently it's looking like
5 speed / 4 traction / 1 torque / 14 weapon / 6 armour
