NoiseyGiraffe's Bots

My second robot for Bot-O-Rama, the featherweight Feathergo. Vertical 2kg (4.4lb) spinning axe with a large front scoop to get underneath opponents and flip them. 2WD and invertible with roll bars on the side to stop it getting stuck. Can also self right to the correct side by reversing and then suddenly stopping, much like an axlebot's attack (all the weight is at the bottom of the correct side). Made from polycarbonate and titanium. Stats TBC

Vertigo 2 is finished for Hammerfall 2 so I decided to finish this side project. Voodoo is a Heavyweight robot with a 1m long pneumatic flipper, 2WD and aluminium and lexan armour. I decided to try and give this a scarier look with the face and to make my robots more colourful. Since I don't need any more HWs with Dr Feelgood,Bolt and Vertigo already entered in upcoming tournaments, anyone who needs a robot at short notice can use Voodoo.

Nice. Although personally I would recommend adding some armour underneath the Flipper as well if you can, I like the look of this one. Solid enough flipper design, and I especially like the tribal artwork on the lid.

Been messing around with a new renderer. Will have a new bot to show on here soon.
EDIT: <del>Just realised the render had the old name on the side. I should go to bed earlier.</del> Cant find it this will do.

My two new robots to finalise my FRR Backlash line up: Public Enemies and Thunder

Public Enemies
Image

Taking a risk with the lightweight class and using a clusterbot. Both clusters are identical mechanically and each has a pair of fixed spikes at one end and a hinged wedge on the other. They are invertable with 4WD and designed to be fast and outrun their opponent while the other attacks from a different angle.

Thunder
Image

A complete redesign of the thrown-together Thunder Strike. The complicated kinetic hammer is abandoned for a simpler pneumatic axe which has less force behind it but a higher rate of fire. A wide 4WD system is inside a H-shaped body to help surround its opponent and damage it. Side skirts help stop flipper however it can self right.

The complete lineup - Dr Feelgood, Hysteria, Thunder, Public Enemies

I'm really liking your new bots. Public Enemies is a simple concept executed nicely. Depending on stats, it could be a real threat in LW. Thunder is definitely an improvement from your old MW. It should do well.

Lightweight clusters have an at least decent track record. Smoke & Mirrors always seems to do well when I enter it.

After a great Bot-o-Rama, I've already made preparations for a potential second season. Feathergo 2 continues the tradition of turning my Hammerfall / Pressure Drop heavyweight into a
