i would angle the sides of the clamp so that you could sweep under bots from the side using the turret. other than that it looks great

Yup. With some corner wedges on the sides of the arms for sweeping under robots with from the sides, I could easily see this one being very good indeed.

Ha! Psyche!
Mimete V
You didn't think I was being serious turning Mimete back to her brick roots, did you? Oh well, it's hard to tell with me nowadays, even for me.
Anyhoo... yep. 2WD. Front jaws are Lockjaw-style, but can move independently. Top jaw can start down on the ground with the bottom jaws if need be, like Diesector. The rear plow is hinged, so she can't be beached on it. She works fine inverted, though the plow does not.
Also this is the first render where I actually did the internals first, then the body... and the first time I did internals in a weird body shape rather than a conventional box. A lot of firsts here!
mimete u so fine
As for the brick version... well I'm still saving that because I'm a prick. :dirk:

Now that does look pretty sweet. I'm wondering how the mechanism works for the upper jaw, with the linkage and such, but it's a really neat looking thing. =) Clampers ftw.

Have to say, I do like this design a lot! It's very nicely made, and with the right stats, should be very tough to fight.

On top of that, you wouldn't hear Donald Hutson bitching that everything with jaws looks like Diesector

If anything, I could be complaining that it looks like a ripoff of Crash Blossom.
Which in turn was a ripoff of No Joy
Which in turn was a ripoff of Karcas 2
So it all goes back to Donald Hutson anyway.

:dirk:[/quote]thius looks familiar
