the wheel arms race has begun :v:

Should be a pretty solid brick, though. Front corners might be a little exposed, but it'll be interesting to see how the lifter works in a fight.

You do realize it'll still turn faster than something with tracks? :v:

OMG I got Flamingo nXt back!

And one of the first new renders?

Cutie Honey IV

Check the curves.

Holy shit a half-assed attempt at internals!

Also, like the previous version, the pneumatics can be swapped out for a hydraulic lifting system. Seeing as Cutie Honey is still a 2WD wedge, this is more for control rather than getting under bots, since she does that well enough. :v:

Nice! I can always appreciate a good flipper, and that new redesign looks pretty kickass. Looking forward to fighting it!

Rendered with the regular Rhino render because Flamingo nXt wasn't handling the textures correctly.

The Hating

Not terribly impressed with how this turned out, really. It's a cambered 2WD wedge with a "Tellu" axe, except the axe is supposed to strike from afar (otherwise it's not gonna hit anything, whether too far or too close :V), and if the opponent is wedged, the axe acts as a front-hinged flipper. There's a rear-hinged flipper attachment on the axe from the back, so yeah. Three methods of attack.

I'm probably going to redo this bot, because I feel I can do far better conceptualizing this.

I'd keep the colour scheme and graphics if you intend to redesign it, because those are totally badass.

Osiris... Armageddon! (MW)
Elrathia... ROBOTS (LW)
Magnolia Pico... Ruination 4 (MW)
RipTide... ROBOT2 (FW)

Thanks for another motive to scrap that stupid thing. :v:

Here. Because I never stop with the chicks. You can't make me! Ever!

Mimete IV.V

Ooh, who's dat on the red carpet?

Check out those angles of posh.

Okay, so Mimete's ready to fight. What does she bring to the table? Mainly a lifting wedge that acts 360 degrees and goes all the way around the robot. It is mainly there to push down and get under other bots.

Speed: 8
Traction: 7
Torque: 4
Armour: 6
Weapon: 5

But Kody, you ask, why would you give it 6 armour? Isn't that suicidal with today's spinners? And why is the lifter so powerful if you only want to get under other bots? Well, I'll explain the latter reasoning first. You see, Mimete's drivetrain isn't like those other boring 4WD fools. You might have already noticed those two omni-wheels in front. See, they're unpowered. That's right. Only the back wheels are powered, effectively making Mimete, in reality, 2WD with some extra traction in front. Given the situation this could be a slight liability or a slight advantage. But the main thing is, most 4WD lifters compromise their manoeuvrability when they push their lifters down. Not so with Mimete. When Mimete lifts herself off the ground, because the rear wheels are the only ones that are powered, she maintains all her drivetrain. And if she gets flipped, it's easy to bring the lifter back down. Suck on that, other lifters and flippers!

But what about that 6 body armour, you ask?

Well Mimete doesn't have to have the lifter all the time...

Introducing the FUCK YOU plow. It's like the ABR plow, but taken to 11. Now it doesn't work inverted of course, as it completely removes the lifting system to compromise for weight, but the plow falls just below the 33% surface rule, so I can give it an armour bonus. How much of one, you ask? Well...

Speed: 8
Traction: 7
Torque: 4
Armour: 11 (+5 to plow)
Weapon: 0

With those stats, the body armour stays the same as in the lifter config. The plow? 16 armour. So all you spinners, hammers, and crushers out there can eat a dick. :v:

Now I didn't exactly want to turn Mimete here into a brick again, but I was having massive problems with all the clamper configurations that I kept rendering, and in the end I just wanted to get this fuckin' show on the road, so bite me.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

I think if you have to specify "This is less than 33% surface area", you shouldn't get the bonus. =P

Definitely is going to be an absolute bitch to fight in any configuration, though.
