Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest- 7/21/06 One of the most anticipated movies of the summer...and it was worth it. Despite the fact that we decided to go see the movie the same night what was left of a hurricane came through and we got soaked to the bone and were unable to warm up in the air conditioned theater, it was well worth the 2 1/2 hours I spent shivering my ass off. Just as good as the first, just even better graphics I think. 5 stars

3. Click- 7/02/06 This movie was kind of a surprise for me. I expected it to be an all-out comedy. But it was more than that. It was a family movie. It had a moral. It taught a valuable life lesson. It starts off really funny, but then it gets serious and makes you want to cry at the end. Worth watching. 4 1/2 stars [/quote]
Please tell me those are out of 10... or at least 8.

Pirates of the Caribbean sucked balls. Click was mediocre at best if you've never heard of A Christmas Carrol or It's a Wonderful Life.

Not the last 10, but just saying... The Departed is the best movie I've seen in years and Grudge 2 was scary as hell!

Pirates sucked balls? Come on... thats a pretty powerful statement there, so whats your reasoning? I'll be the first to say it wasn't a cinematic masterpiece, but it was a pretty good movie.

Click is harder to defend, I'm not a huge fan of Adam Sandler anyway.

I've been looking at a lot of reviews lately, and I can agree with you on The Departed. It got 93% at rotten tomatoes (movies can be rated rotten or fresh. 6/10 and up is fresh. Reviews are gathered from multiple reviewers all over the web.). However, I also saw the gruge, it was really bad. A typical "boo!" movie, makes you feel scared for a split second, but other than that it just sucks. It was rated 8%.

As for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was rated 54%. I felt it deserved lower. This movie sucked in my oppinion. The whole plot was a series of sub plots and it was basically just a teaser for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

The Grudge... Man I hate these PG-13 horror movies. Only select people can do it well. Other than that, they just end up being a bunch of cheep spooks, cause thats all the rating will allow.

And yes, I suppose you can argue that Pirates 2 was just a long trailer for Pirates 3, but I think thats the critics speaking through you there. Of course, a lot of the movies I like have been despised by many critics, so I typically don't agree with them anyway.

I suppose Grudge 2 was more entertaining to me than it should have been because I had a hot underage asian chick clinging to me the entire time and 2 fat black chicks got in a fight in the middle of the theatre.

Sounds like when I watched Jackass: Number 2. Except the girl was asian and it was a whole gang of guys that beat the shit out of each other for entertainment.

It probably sucked because that kind of humor doesn't appeal to you. It's probably the only movie i've ever watched that I have laughed from the begining to the very end.

Agreed, The only time I stopped laughing was to dry heave on the horse part. I guess it take a morbid sense of humor to truly enjoy it. It just has no appeal to some people.

I love cheap laughs. I love the Three Stooges, I love Jerry Clower, I love Abbott & Costello, I absolutely love MXC and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and I'm a big fan of Dave Barry. You cannot say I don't love cheap laughs.

But Jackass didn't do a fucking thing for me.

I have to side with Philip here. Jackass draws the line between funny and just plain idiocy.

When I saw the first Grudge, it was awesome. My friend was freaking out, and since I'm in New Mexico there were a couple hispanic gangsters (homies) going, "oh dude, thees sheet's FAWKED UP BRO!" the whole time. It was awesome.

The movie itself, eh.

And Wildboyz is a far superior show to Jackass.
