Whoever this guy is, he's obviously mastered the guitar, but the vocals and tone I'm just not digging. Perhaps it's fair to say that might only be because I'm not really a fan of world music, but I just don't find it to be a particularly good song. 5/10 for me.

A nice slow one here...

Chris, I'm sorry, but that bored me. It sounded like the producers of Milli Vanilli remixing a Shinedown song. 2/10.

In keeping with my effort to be all over the diaspora, and since it's Sunday, I'm going with some soulful, old-school gospel.... the Soul Stirrers.

Good ol' Sam Cooke, can't go wrong there. 7/10.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Isn't it amazing how much better they sound after they left Motown? hehehe. I enjoyed this, but it sounds like they were trying to copy the style of Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes, which is both a good and a bad thing at once. Gonna give this a 7/10

Meanwhile, one from the King. I like this one because his version is so catchy, you just want to put the CD player on Repeat Track and just keep listening to it. So bouncy and catchy, I just never get sick of it.

I'm probably more partial to their post-Motown catalogue overall myself.

As for your song, I

Ah yes, the Contours... Dennis Edwards' group before he joined the Temps. Trying to be more than "Do You Love Me". This song was too radical a departure though, and sounds like this was originally meant for Marvin Gaye, without smoothness to the rhythm section. It's ok, but I don't care much for the message, and it's just too stereotypically Motown for me. 5/10

Although, tributes to the Motown sound can sound pretty sweet themselves. Here's Swedish pop group Ace Of Base with a song that sounds like something Diana Ross's ego wouldn't have allowed the Supremes to do, despite being tailored to their style. What a whore.

A nice simple fun song. I can see why the Supremes couldn't do it though, since it would probably have to have been a Mary Wilson lead, and fat chance on that eh Ms. Ross? 7/10

I'm gonna switch gears a bit here, and head to the world of movie soundtracks.

Did nothing for me... sounded like a lot of other movie soundtrack sad songs, only with Eva Gabor singing. 4/10

Meanwhile, you'll either love or hate this one.

It's got great novelty value, but there's no way I can put it above a 3/10.

Here's a metal song to mix things up a bit...

I actually really enjoyed that. 8/10

Some more metal... this one very reminiscent of Queensryche, and imo, this should be the official anthem of Memorial Day:

How about some Southern rock?

WV became a state because they didn't want to secede, and so broke off from main Virginia.... so think about that Union boy.

But I dig Jim Croce. 8/10

Now who's secure enough in their manhood to enjoy an Adult Contemporary love song?

I am.

On that note, not bad, but it didn't fully impress me. It was still a good song I'll give it 7/10.

Love songs now? Cool, so here's an Aerosmith song some might never have heard (certainly not one of their bigger hits).
