NASCARC Season 3 - Signups

Talk about the lastest in Nintendo, X-box and, if you can afford it, Playstation. Don't forget about PCs and handhelds, but if you go old-ass Atari on us, we'll cut you off at the knees.

NASCARC Season 3 - Signups

Post by Badnik96 » Sat Jul 06, 2019 12:43 am

It's back and better than ever! You guys should know the drill by now.

Rules:

For this, you can run a team and create drivers to run in it.

TEAMS

Choose a make (Chevy, Dodge, Ford or Toyota)

Choose the number of cars in the team (1-3)

Choose numbers for your cars (Any one or two digit number)

Choose sponsors (must be relevant to 2019 and should be something you would see in real life)

Owners should try to paint their team's cars themselves if they are able. However, I (or Adam) will be able to paint cars for you if you need to.

You can download paint templates for your cars here:
http://splashngo.studiospeed.club/index ... encs-2019/

For your drivers, you must fill out the following stat card:
Aggression:
Consistency:
Finishing:
Qualifying:
Road Course:
Short Track:
Speedway:
Superspeedway:

You have 680 points to spend. No stat can be higher than 100 and no stat can be lower than 50. The way NR2003 stats work means your stats will vary slightly per race, the number you put in is the high value and the low value will be 10 points lower than that.

For every car your team has, your maximum point total per driver will decrease by 20.

You must come up with realistic names for your drivers. It doesn't have to be your real name, but make it realistic. Names like "Mike Hunt" will not be permitted either, because it's just awkward to say.

If you want to co-own a team with another person, go right ahead.

NEW FOR THIS SEASON! If a team replaces one of their drivers, you can choose to use them instead of one of your own drivers, provided you have the team owner's permission.

Points system:
46 for first
42 for second
41 for third, etc.
The last place car gets 2 points
1 bonus point if you lead at least one lap
1 more bonus point for the driver who leads the most laps

Similar to real NASCAR, for the final ten races of the season (so after Indy), 15 drivers will be locked into the battle for the championship. Winning a race in the regular season guarantees you a spot in the Chase. If there are less than 15 winners by the time this comes along, the rest of the field will be determined by the highest-placed drivers in points. Points will be reset at this point, with each win you earn in the regular season earning you 5 bonus points per win. The driver with the most points after Homestead will win the championship.

Drivers that have never competed in NASCARC before will also compete for Rookie of the Year honors. How this works is that every rookie is entered into a second points grid, where their finishing order is scored against the other rookies in the field. Top finishing rookie gets the most points, with 5 bonus points for a race win. At the end of the season, the driver with the most points is declared Rookie of the Year.

Tartarus Motorsports

Guy Sanchez in the #69 Dick's Sporting Goods/Dick's Last Resort Toyota:

Aggression: 90
Consistency: 100
Finishing: 100
Qualifying: 80
Road Course: 50
Short Track: 90
Speedway: 100
Superspeedway: 50

Hey, he's a nice guy, but sometimes he can be a dick. The bad boy of South American dirtbike racing has finally made the improbable jump to NASCAR, following a brief stint in open-wheel racing. Will his success carry over into a wildly different medium or will he just end up screaming a well-known catchphrase and crashing out?

Johnny Rosales in the #96 Doritos & Mountain Dew Toyota:

Aggression: 80
Consistency: 100
Finishing: 100

Road Course: 60
Short Track: 60

After it became clear that his previous team was pouring most of its resources into troubled star driver Kirk Kidd and postergirl Aislin Sheehan and treating Johnny like the zero on his car's side, he decided that a change was needed. With a new sponsor, make, and team, this consistent contender is looking to take the next step.

S. KY Motorsports (pronounced sky)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Mason Dowell - No. 81 Riot Games Toyota
- Mason grew up with an abusive family that never wanted him in the backwoods of south central Kentucky. His father was arrested when he was young, leaving him with a mom that blamed him for everything that had gone wrong and a stepdad who could care less. He found two ways to escape: Tearing apart opponents on LoL and burning it up at a little quarter-mile track in his home town of Somerset, KY. With this experience, he's gained a "No BS" attitude and skill in short-track bumper-to-bumper racing.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Brodin Woodruff - No. 83 Autism Speaks Toyota
- Brodin, though born in Louisiana, spent most of his childhood in Glasgow, KY. Ever since his first time watching NASCAR, he's seen racing as the only option for life. All the fame, fortune, and success would be his to take, and by God, he'd be the best there'd ever been. These goals changed, however, when he was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 14. The diagnosis, along with the bullying that followed, sparked a new motivation in Brodin's heart. He wanted to race even harder, not just for himself, but to be an example to those on the spectrum and prove that anything can be possible. With plenty of determination, he brings an aggressive, but not exactly technical, style week in and week out.

William Calhoun - No. 85 PNC Bank Toyota
- William was born a country MacGyver. If anything could be put together to go fast, he'd be the crazy bastard to do it. He self-built cars at the age of 15, and broke the speed record for a tractor at 16. As he grew into an adult, he decided the best way to go fast was 4 left turns a lap. He came up as a prodigy at the same little 1/4 mile ring Mason frequented, and the two became close friends and rivals, with each influencing the other's style.

#4 - Takumi Fujiwara - Initial D Chevrolet

Image

- After conquering the Japanese mountainside drift circuit, Fujiwara was encouraged by his friends and rivals alike to take his racing overseas, and after much consideration, he has brought his immense talents to this side of the Pacific Ocean. He proved himself in the first season of NASCARC claiming multiple 1st place finishes and the #1 overall points spot.

Hailing from the land down under, Dean spent most of his free time one of two ways. Playing video games or ripping around in his old Jeep CJ. After a brief few years of video game development, he left what he started to fully focus on cars and going very fast. While his experience may come from considerably less powerful vehicles on considerably less paved and banked courses, Dean is not one to turn down a challenge in the big leagues.

Yes, THAT Eisenhower. Great grandson of the former US Army General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower. While he prefers to distance himself from his last name's legacy (as he never got to meet his great grandfather), the passion for such an american sport as NASCARC has brought him on board to race this season under the Team 57 Racing banner.

Daley only knows two ways to finish a race: In first or on his roof. Known for being a complete goddamn lunatic on the track, Daley has finally been able to quit terrorizing the little leagues and get into something that might be able to contain him. Some unholy force has managed to keep him racing despite numerous incidents; perhaps he's invincible. Who knows?

I'll bring my two ladies back and get the cars spruced up for the new season.

Quixote Racing Group is once again represented by Aislyn Riesling and Tamara Green. Riesling, coming off a successful 2018-19 season, is once again behind the wheel of #88, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts. Green struggled to make much of a mark last season, but has vowed to show what she's made of this year. She's back in #45, sponsored by P&G.

Team Riptide Racing!
The HardWired Ride
#03 in the Toyota Camry, Ceran Altwood, the Welsh Vixen! Once an amateur Rally driver, setting some impressive times on the Sweet Lamb WRC course before moving onto Rallycross with some success there. Ceran is getting on a few years at 38 and decided to move to Nascar for the much more simpler courses but is still decent at the more technical stuff, just not the best endurance racer. Rallycross isn't exactly non-contact and of course, as a Welsh las she is angry on that track!

Enjoyed some success in the French Supertouring Championship during it's later years before moving onto the WTCC with minor success there too. A very patriotic and proud Frenchman. A brilliant technical and endurance racer! For his size in person, he is quite a timid guy in person and on the track.

With all of my drivers making the Chase last season, they're all back to contend once again. Always good to have consistency. 27 gets its third new primary sponsor in three years, because why not.

Image
Kyle Wood - #27 Duraflame Chevrolet
Aggression: 80
Consistency: 85
Finishing: 90
Qualifying: 80
Road Course: 50
Short Track: 93
Speedway: 92
Superspeedway: 70

A young hot shoe from South Carolina, Kyle proved he has what it takes to perform at the top level this past season. Coming into his third year of NASCARC competition, there's nowhere to go but up. With a new sponsor backing him and nothing but praise from his peers, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with this year.

Image
Chase Spader - #47 Dr. Pepper Chevrolet
Aggression: 70
Consistency: 90
Finishing: 80
Qualifying: 80
Road Course: 70
Short Track: 90
Speedway: 90
Superspeedway: 70

Coming off another great season as the veteran of Ignition Motorsports, this NASCARC mainstay and top-level competitor is still in his prime. He's been practicing right turns in the off-season, running the 24 Hours of Daytona and doing respectably. A solid bet to win on any given week.

Scott McHale - #98 Auto Zone Chevrolet
Aggression: 83
Consistency: 80
Finishing: 82
Qualifying: 80
Road Course: 65
Short Track: 95
Speedway: 95
Superspeedway: 60

The "rich kid" from New England silenced his critics this season with a banner year in the top-level series, racking up wins and top 5 finishes like no one's business.
Brash and cocky as usual, he's already called his shot: He's going to win the championship this year. Only time will tell if these words ring true.

team associate sponsors: Zippo, Hot Wheels, TMS Titanium, Big Blue Saw, SKF

Also I'm going to announce a soft deadline for numbers and stats for July 25th. Just for the initial head count. Once everyone's in we can get all the paint schemes sorted, but that's the second step.
