Go with the Mech armor mode.
I believe that TBFTW's wedges are only on the ground at the flat tips at the front of the wedge.
Attacking diagonally is our best bet.
To do so, I think we need to drive as though we were attacking the back side and once he either gyro dances or we get close enough to their back, attack.
Keep about one Godfather's length (About 2 1/2 feet) away from the opponent when doing so.
Just refrain from going head-to-head and we should be fine.
